We, the Friends of All saints' Church, are celebrating our 50th Anniversary this year and we are inviting everyone to come along and enjoy a day of entertainment, information, stalls, food and fun. Teddies are being invited to attend a 'Charity Parachute Jump' from the Tower at All Saints'. All Teddies must bring an owner (only Teddies will be jumping). All Teddies will receive a certificate. More info to come but please put this date in your diaries, Saturday the 14th Septe...mber 2019. The calendar tells me we will be bathed with 12 hours and 45 mins of sunshine on that day. If you would like to get involved with our 50th Event please contact either here on our Facebook page or through our Sister Church, St James', on the High Street. Thank you to all of the clean up crew who worked magic at All Saints' Church. You even managed to reinstate our Great-Greats, Brasted family gravestone. We are all really grateful. Thank you to Neil Ballard for this great shot from our maintenance trip up to clean out the rain gullies today.

Amazing clean up, thank you all.

Sadly, as many of you already know, a car crashed through the Lytch Gate at All Saints' in the late evening on Tuesday. It destroyed the gates and seating, several grave stones and damaged others. The driver didn't hang around. Happily the repairs are under way.

One of me when I was still Lynn Jefferies, on the tower at All Saints' Church, Brightlingsea, Essex. 1969. Photo's by Alf Jefferies. I could never have guessed I would one day become a secretary for the Friends of All Saints'. This photo was taken on the Friends opening day in 1969, I was terrified. We are raising funds to repair the tower and parapets, donations very welcome. Thank you, Lynn Ballard
