What a great Father’s Day �we all had such a lovely meal in the gardeners we turned up with no table booked & we only had to wait half an hour great service highly recommend thank you �

Well contrary to an earlier rating, i think the Guinness is one of the best i've had in Chelmsford. My favourite pub. Great staff, very welcoming, great location, great atmosphere and very family friendly.

We recently had my husbands 30th birthday bash here. Stuart and the team did an excellent job. A lot was organised for us and the food, atmosphere and DJ - which was arranged through the pub were superb. A great pub and great staff!

The best pub around in Chelmsford with beer and food , the best burgers you can have and the atmosphere is great , nice friendly pub very family friendly.

Stuart and Jamie and the team always give a warm welcome and we love the fact we can visit with our two year old. Great pub grub and a lovely atmosphere! Lots of fun over the World Cup season. Love our local can’t recommend highly enough!

I went there early evening yesterday with my sons & some friends for a Christmas Festive Meal. I cannot fault the food, drink or staff, everything was fab! Stuart (the Manager) made it all the more special with his personal touches. I would definitely recommend. Thanks Gardeners for a lovely time. Tx

Had my partners 60th birthday party in the gardener on 27th January 2018. Could of asked for better venue very friendly great atmosphere & excellent staff plus very accommodating it's a lovely family pub. The manager is one in s million knows what you want & goes of his way to help, food was lovely. I had guess from up north & from Somerset that attend & they was saying they wish that had a pub like the gardener as there local. I highly recommend it. Avril

Had a lovely meal today as usual, staff were brilliant on what was probably one of their busiest days with the footy on and it being Father’s Day! Nice to be able to walk in somewhere without having booked and still be served within a reasonable amount of time especially when you have a hungry 4 year old in tow! Same time next week!! �

Great pub. The staff are brilliant and very attentive. It’s the place to be for anything sport and especially welcoming to families � will be back!
