1st day of winter tomorrow. Wrap up warm. Only 90 days to wait.

User

A warm and occasionally wet final weekend of the 2018 season. Beautiful sunrise on Saturday, followed by a warm, sunny, and at times, windy day, despite heavy rain Friday night.

User

Thinking of changing the site name to:- Gate House Wood Boating Lake.šŸ˜œšŸ¤šŸ¤£

User

'twas a dark and stormy night, the rain lashed down upon the campers. The beast howled. Nice and sunny now.

That was a warm weekend. The tents outnumbered the caravans this time. Nice to see the Dutch are back using the site.

User

No need to book. Open to general public and visitors.

A few pictures from last weekend's scorcher. The last picture is of the pegs left stuck in the ground for someone to trip/injure their feet on.

What a brilliant park!!!! it is clean and tidy. The owners Dave and Karen are very friendly and very helpful. we have been here more than once and only live 10min down the road. It is brilliant for children with a play area in the middle of the park. See you soon.

User

We only live 5 mins away and first time we have stayed. We could have been miles away it is tucked away but beautiful, l was surprised how clean the site was and the showers were lovely and clean and nice and hot. It had a lovely personal touch not like large campsites. Will definitely use again.

User

User

We couldn't get in at our normal site so Gate House Wood was 2nd choice. Wow! what a great find. So close to everything yet so peaceful. A lovely site. Will definitely be back. It is nice to se a site where the management set out the rules & apply them when ever needed. Many Thanks Nick & Maureen

User

Only stayed two nights, but was enough to see that this is a lovely site. Very neat and tidy grounds and shower block and washing up area very clean. Karen and Dave are a very nice, helpful couple. Would certainly visit again, hopefully for longer.

User

Lovely few days at our country residence , shared with friends and family no complaints from us . Great site highly recommend a visit šŸ‘

User

Karen and Dave are very welcoming, we had a horrendous journey and arrived just gone half 9 at night due to bad traffic, Karen came out to us let us in and shown us our pitch, even though it was dark and late, Karen was very friendly and sympathetic.

Kids absolutely love the park and free run around and it's even better we are pitched literally a stones throw to the park. Very clean toilet and shower blocks. And a lovely hot shower. Definitely recommend and would love to come back. Thanks for a great stay so far!! looking forward to the easter egg hunt too

User

Just spent three nights at this site. First time here for us and it was great! Facilities were spotless and met some great people too! Added bonus for us is it is 20 minutes from home! We will definitely be going back xx

User

Just returned from Gate House Wood and what can I say, just wish we could've stayed longer than two nights. A lovely place to unwind in beautiful surroundings. Good facilities and not too large which helped as we have a very adventurous toddler. Owners very pleasant and made us feel very welcome. Thank you.

User

I forgot to leave a review on our first visit (snowy March)! They where so accommodating for me, I was heavily pregnant at the time so felt really comforted from as soon as we booked to leaving, we loved it so much we booked again before we left and we are literally on our way back down now! X

User

Had a fantastic weekend with the family. Facilities were nice and clean.

Kids throughly enjoyed themselves in the grounds of the park.

Definitely be coming back

Thank you

Back after a yearā€™s break. This beautiful site is just half an hour from our ā€œconcrete jungleā€ home in Bexleyheath. Peaceful and just perfect for a weekend away from it all. Immaculately clean toilet/shower block. Owners canā€™t do enough .... even get Sunday papers for you. Itā€™s the little things that mean more ..... you donā€™t get this with Caravan Club ! Just need more free weekends now ļæ½.

User

Ahhhh feeling quiet emotional .. weā€™ve just packed up our little country residence for the winter xx weā€™ve had such a great summer and the kids have made so many friends xx donā€™t want to wish our lives away but canā€™t wait to open it all up again and start another brilliant year xx. See you all in 2018 xx

User

A very well looked after campsite everybody is friendly and there is never any rubbish on the floor very safe area for children to play and good that they allow foam footballs so that nothing can get damaged showers and toilets are very clean i always love coming .

User

A fantastic little park with a quiet and secluded outlook. Karen and Dave are fantastic hosts and run a family friendly site. The shower block and laundry are always immaculate and the shop/reception has everything you could possible need.

Add into this the charity breakfasts and it all adds up to an amazing place.

User

A very well kept site,a safe play area for children and clean facilities. However far to many rules once shown to our pitches it would have been nice to be able to park facing each other as the row of caravans resembled a show room rather then a park, which all be it tidy not very family friendly.

The many rules are off putting and the add-ons soon added up making the weekend very expensive.

A dog invaded our space chewing on a child's toy and the same dog was later found drinking fron the fresh water tap not very hygienic at all.

User

While this is a nice site, the rules and regulations were too excessive for us. Considering the facilities, we found this an expensive site and the many 'add ons' felt ridiculous!! Some of the rules seemed to be flaunted by other while being enforced on us, maybe our faces didn't fit? While the staff seemed friendly enough, they didn't seem to want to please us and make our stay pleasant.
