Dear readers and writers, we need to hit £1500 to secure the future of the press. We're not for profit, voluntary and 100% behind supporting new writing and emerging writers. Please help us by buying our books and sharing this post. We will love you forever and ever.

LIGHTHOUSE APPEAL
Dear all,
as a volunteer press, we have faced a difficult year (all years are difficult in this game, but this year has been very challenging).
... We need you to dig deep and buy our books, whether it be Lighthouse Literary Journal or our pamphlets and full collections. Any help will ensure we can continue to provide space for new writing.

All profits from the press are ploughed back into supporting emerging writing. We can't do this without you.
Please help however you can.
THANK YOU x The Editors

Director Andrew McDonnell talks about Gatehouse on the Salt blog: https://www.saltpublishing.com/…/an-int roduction-to-gatehou…
We just heard that Preti Taneja has won the Desmond Elliott prize for new fiction for her debut novel We That Are Young. She entered the Gatehouse Press New Fictions Prize in 2015 and we published her novella Kumkum Malhotra shortly after. Sam Ruddock did sterling work with Preti on the MS and in 2016 we passed her novel MS to Galley Beggars who loved it and published it in July last year. They deserve praise for all they've done. So congratulations to all, especially Preti who is an incredible writer.
