Match report 20.10.18
Congress - 8 V 2 - GVFC
A game and day to forget for the vision boys. A squad hit with illness, injuries, holidays and work commitments saw the home team take full advantage of the lack of numbers on the day. Game started with some good build from the home team who created some neat goal scoring chances. A good build up from Bartosz Gluszek Anthony and Ryan Jackson saw Daniel Walkden baring down on the goal just to see his shot narrowly over. Javari Ca...mpbell causing problems on the wing creating goal chances just lacking the final pass or finishing touch. Some miss communication at the back saw the home side shot well but a make shift keeper of Dwayne Spence couldn't keep it out. Moments later is was 2 -0 with a neat finish from the striker. Some good build up with Ryan, Jake Richings and Bryan Johnson realising Dan to finish clinically. The game change on 25th minute with the home team awarding a penalty resulting Lee Birks Nick Eaves coming off the worst. Penalty was save but the rebound was put away 3-1 A power dribbling and shot from Jav have the crossbar still rattling very unlucky . 2 quick goals before half time.
HT 5-1
Second half saw Richard Morgan Shaun Gidman getting up the pitch more trying to get back into the game. Good wing play with Rich and Jav releasing dan to set up his strike part Bryan Johnson to finish neatly. 5-2. Dazzling feet from Jav on 65 minute seeing him got fouled resulting into penalty unlucky for bryan hitting the post (game changer). Some good chance throughout the second half coming through Dan, Ryan, Jav, Bryan and Anthony just lacking the finishing touches. 3 quick counter attacks saw the game got away from GVFC resulting the score line.
FT 8-2
Managers words. Not a day to remember for me having to be in goals rather than scoring or assisting them. The lads battled very well and a few game changing chances and decisions could have made the scoreline better. I am proud of the lads and how far the team has come this season. 1 bad result doesn't justify the hard work and dedication we have put in. We go again with training Tuesday and Sunday with another testing game against the Knave.

Sentinel Cup Sun 14.10.18
GVFC 1 - 3 Chesterton AFC
A break away from the league to make our debut within the Sentinel Cup. Injuries, Sicknesses , Awol and Work commitments left the team stretched to the max. The game started with the home side on top controlling good ball retention through Jimmy Anderson , Ryan Jackson and Jake Richings before sending Javari Campbell on one of his dazzling runs just to see his cross intercept at the last minute off Daniel Walkden toes. Good... build up play from Sam Simcock Bryan Johnson and Ryan sending Jimmy free on the left before crossing for a good chance to shot wide. A dominant first half without a goal would be looking likely until Lee Birks played a quick one 2 with Shaun Gidman passing to Jake to set up Ryan just to fire over. Really good chance. The break through came on 33rd minute from a swift midfield play to set up Bryan who unleashed an unstoppable 30+ yard shot. (Welcome back) The game should have been 2 -0 after a quick pass from Richard Morgan to Jav dribbling pass a few challenges to send Dan through good skill to beat the defender only for the keeper to make a great save and on the follow up. Great chance. A few long range efforts from Chesterton but didn't cause much danger Bartosz Gluszek cleared any danger.
HT 1-0
The second half started with the away team starting to up the pace and should have levelled on 48 minute just shooting wide. GVFC take control of the game creating some good chances with Jav, Dan, Bryan and Ryan just cannot finish. On 56 minute a corner half cleared to the edge of the area for the away side to shoot taking 2 deflections before wrong footing the keeper 1-1 against the run of play (Game on). On 58 minute a good challenge from Jimmy clearing the ball seem to be a foul by the referee but to everyones reaction of SHOCK a penalty was awarded. Scored 1 - 2. A few changes saw Kris Anderson Dwayne Spence Grzesiek Bartkiewicz coming on to try and change the game. Dwayne taught he had scored with some good build up play with Kris, Jake , Greg and Jav saw his shot wide (off the pace). More chances would come late on to Dan, Bryan, Dwayne, Jimmy, Greg and Jav but no one could get that last past or clinical touch. On 89th minute a quick counter, counter saw the away side rifle in a great 20 strike to seal the game.
FT 1- 3
Managers words. The lads have really showed what a team they are today. I am very proud of each and everyone of them. The result doesn't reflect the game considering the first half and chances we had second half. Any defeat is hard to take but a lot of positives and encouragement to take from this game. We go again to the bread and butter (LEAGUE) top of the table clash await on Sunday. WE get back to basics and make it right next week.

Match report 7/10/18
GVFC 2 v 2 Redgate Clayton
The game started with some good passing from the away team but not creating any good goalscoring chances. With GVFC missing key players in positions they struggle to get a foot hold in the game and passes went astray. On the first good build up and attack saw Anthony broke free down the left cutting in just to fire wide. Moments later it was Ryan Jackson and Javari Campbell turn to see there shots not testing the keeper. Some n...eat football from Redgate saw there left winger cross well for the striker to head wide let off. Some long range shots from the not troubling the defence too much but the home side being push back and finding it hard to get out. On the 30 minute mark a lose pass from Richard Morgan saw Redgate counter attack well in which he rounded the keeper in which Kris Anderson tried his best to clear but ended up in the goal 0 -1. Some good saves from Nick Eaves saw the home side starting to play a bit of football. A good move involving Jimmy Anderson Jake Richings and Ryan saw Javari set free down the left setting up Daniel Walkden just shooting narrow wide. Some good football from Grzesiek Bartkiewicz Jake and Jav saw Dan beating 2 defenders before scoring a wonder goal on the 43rd minute 1-1 (Game on ).
HT 1-1
Second half started with GVFC on the front foot causing problems with some good 1 touch 2 touch play, but Redgate always pose a danger on the counter and on 50th minute the away side had a good chance to make it 1-2 but missed it completely Lee Birks breath a sign of relief . End to end stuff for a good 15 - 20 minutes chances created and missed by both teams but some neat football in midfield with Sam Simcock and Ryan to set Dan free down the left seeing the keeper off the line but to lob him with an outrageous effort. Worthy goal to win any game 2-1 GVFC. The team is on a high but getting carried away with complacency and taunting will prove costly at the end. On the 90th minute the home team fail to clear and it broke free down the left with a cross for the striker to score what appeared to be at least 2 -3 yards offside 2-2 the game come to a close.
FT 2-2
Managers words. Myself and the lads are completely distraught, it feels like a defeat than a draw. We didn't play well but didn't cause enough problem to win the game. Doesn't help with players thinking the game is won before we kicked a ball. Its easy to reach a high but harder to maintain. But we take the positives and move forward still unbeaten and there is always room for improve.

Match report 30.9.18
Cheshire Cheese 3 v GVFC 6
The match started with a good exchange from the home side and on 3 mins they were 1 up. A long ball saw Kris Anderson pass back didn't have enough legs gave the striker the chance to nip in and round the keeper. (Shock to the team). After a good regroup GVFC started playing there football with Javari Campbell and Anthony causing mayhem on the wings along with Ryan Jackson Sam Simcock winning tackles and building up play. It was... Ryans through ball for Daniel Walkden in which he lobbed the keeper to make it 1-1 on 11 minutes. GVFC started to play some good stuff down the flanks with Richard Morgan and Jimmy Anderson. A few long range efforts from the home side didn't test Scott Wilkes. on 24 mins Jav dazzling feet saw him won a free kick in which Nick Eaves dispatched clinically. A few half chances came to home side which Kris cleared well, no hangover from before. A silly foul in the penalty box saw Dan stepped up to scored his second jus before half time.
HT 1 - 3
Second half started with GVFC on the front foot in which it become very high tempered and cynical from the home side. The game got stretched with GVFC creating some good opportunities just missing the finishing touch. On 67 minute a good build up starting with Scott, Rich, Sam, Jake Richings Grzesiek Bartkiewicz Dan and Jav saw a Sam shooting from 30 yards into the top corner, (Great Team Goal). As the game become more goal opportunity keep falling it Jake, Anthony, Dan, Greg, Jav in which they didn't take. Some good clearances and tackle from Lee Birks and Shaun Gidman through out the half. On 70 minute it was 5, a long run from Anthony seeing him beat 3 players just to be taken down at the last minute. Nick stepped up to put it away. The game got interesting in the last 10 minutes in which 2 quick goals from the home side. Moments before GVFC had numerous of chances to put the game into double figures but got complacent. On 86 minute Dan complete his Hat Trick by beating 2 players to hit a forceful shot ripping the net open. (Some taught it didn't went in)
Some late challenges and shouting at the ref saw the home side had 2 men sent off in the latter stages of the game
FT 3 - 6
Managers words.
Some quality and brilliant performances today and some well improved work rate on last game. Still a bit naive and complacent at times but that will get better with experience and more games down the line. The squad is gelling nicely and we need to keep our feet on the ground and not get carried away as its early days yet.

Match report 23/09018 GVFC - 2 v 1 - Ashbank
We welcome Ashbank to Vision park for todays league 3 encounter. The game started with the home side having good touches and created a goal scoring opening Javari Campbell just see his shot going wide. Gvfc was forced into 2 quick early changes due injury for Sam Simcock Jake Richings (recover well lads) but on the 6 minute the break through came with D&B combination and it was Daniel Walkden who finished off well this time. 1-0.... It was 2-0 in no time a nice build up down the left with Jimmy Anderson and Ryan Jackson to set Bryan Johnson through for him to set up his strike partner again for his second. Moments later another injury to Bryan in which forced more changes to the team which disrupt the formation and strategy, a long ball caught the back four out for the striker to finish well 2-1 ( GAME-ON ). Some dazzling footwork from Jav saw him break from halfway to set ryan clear just for his shot to in narrowly wide. On 34 minute a 50/50 challenge saw Jimmy coming off the worst another injured player. ( GAME OF CAUSALITIES)
HT 2-1
Second half saw the home team regain the game with some good possession and slick passing from the back with Richard Morgan Lee Birks Nick Eaves Dwayne Spence Kris Anderson setting up Ryan at the end of it just to se his shot narrowly wide. A few last ditch challenges from Shaun Gidman keep us on track to seeing the game out. A good 1 2 in midfield with Dwayne and Kris send Grzesiek Bartkiewicz shot over. Good footwork from greg saw him couldn't a shot off from a nice build up play. Scott Wilkes was call in to action in which he dealt with easily of a player of that quality (He paid me to say that). The game didn't have much quality towards the end with Gvfc seeing the game game and happy with the result.
FT 2-1
Managers words. A very strange game to say the least, 4 injuries to add to already 3 thats side lined is a massive blow to the whole team and squad for the next few weeks. Lets hope we can pull together and work through this tricky period of Cup matches coming up. Another good win for the boys and battling well in tough game. 4 on the spin. Up the Global

Match Report - 16/9/18 Roaring Meg FC. 1 v 4 .GVFC
The vision boys take a short trip to biddulph in league looking to extend the winning sta. The game started with the away team looking to get the job done early. A few incorrect decisions gave the vision boys the extra edge to get in front early. The first break through came on 12th minute, a good build up play involving Jimmy Anderson Ryan Jackson Jake Richings passing it on to Sam Simcock who played a delightful ball f...or Daniel Walkden to round the keeper to give the away side a well deserved lead. The vision boys continue to press and make good chances through out a good spell of 1 touch play coming to Ryan Jackson shot which he taught he scored. Javari Campbell continue where he left off from last match with brilliant runs, crosses and close control, on 18th minute a nice through ball for Bryan Johnson saw his shot saved well. Away team should be at least 3-5 up by now. A quick 1 2 with @Jake Richings and Sam Simcock released Javari down the right played it through to Dan but the keeper again with a smart save. From the Jake corner a training ground routine saw Javari lose his man to covert the header to make it 0 - 2 to the Vision. The dominance of the half continue with Scott Wilkes having little to do, Shaun Gidman Nick Eaves Lee Birks Jimmy Anderson solid at the back. On the 38th minute saw some neat football from back to front with Jake assisting Bryan to get on the scoring sheet 0 - 3. Unfortunately Kris Anderson had to go off injured early, hopefully its not too serious.
HT 0 - 3
The second half continue with the away team pressing and Jake, Ryan, Sam and Jav causing havoc with there neat passing and skill. a few loose shots from Bryan, Ryan and Dan should have extended the lead. On 55th minute some quick feet from Jake saw him fouled in which looked a serious injury. From the free kick Nick stepped up and despatched very well 0 - 4 Vision. A few changes and formation switch saw the home team finally getting in the game with some long throws and corners. On 70th minute the home side corner didn't get clear properly and saw them shot from close range 1 - 4. Bartosz Gluszek Grzesiek Bartkiewicz Richard Morgan came on to see out the game in the closing stages. On 78th minute the away broke well dow the left with Bartosz Gluszek play 1 2 with bryan but shooting just wide. a good build up from Sam to set Greg down the right cut in to play Dan but the keeper made a good save. Man of the match performance from the Meg #1. Game come to a close.
FT 1 - 4
Managers Words. Another solid display from start to finish, we dominated the game apart a 20 minute spell when we changed the team around and subs. I am a bit upset we couldn't get the clean sheet the boys deserve and a few more goals as we had some really good chances. All in all 3 league games in 3 wins we take each game as they come and keep working hard on and off the pitch.
