As mentioned above, Goldings has been present on the High Street since 1867. It has a massive range of kitchen, ironmongery and models to suit many pockets. We hope to be with you as an institution for the next 150 years - so no we are not closing and it will be staying the same!

Our First Cabinet Stockist, Captain Alice has many workshops running over the holidays to keep Children entertained including our very own Bedford Symbol Spot. We hold the pencils and the map books in Goldings. So if you want to explore with the Kids in places you may not normally visit then why not start with us!

Just to let everyone know...We will not be opening on Bank Holiday Monday. We have a hot date with a kitchen sink which needs fitting as we've not had a kitchen sink since before Easter! We are, however, open today from 11am to 3pm. There is free parking in Lurke Street car park. We are open from normal at 8.30am on Tuesday.

Purchased some fireworks yesterday, was greeted in a warm and welcoming manner, served by Chris, "Dad" and a young lady who's name I forgot. They all took time to tell me about the different fireworks they sell, shared their opinions and showed me videos. I was thoroughly impressed. Even kept them for me whilst I shopped in town and allowed me to use the back entrance! Never been in there before but will defo return. Thank you Goldings.
Polite staff. They let you browse with ease. Just an excellent shop. Love it. X
Personal service, can get so many useful things for the home and garden, from the big to the small. Lovely service. Enjoy browsing. Like the feel of the floor when walking and the unique smell of the shop which I find so inviting. It is very organised and a useful shop. Wouldn't be without it.
Needed a nut today and goldings knew what size I needed just by looking at the bolt and were £1 cheaper than the other shop I tried!! Will always try Goldings first from now on.

It is always said that if Goldings does'nt have it , then it does'nt exist !
I think a newspaper article re 150 years coming up caught my attention. At boarding school back in the early '60's (Bedford Modern School) there wasn't a lot to do between school and lights out. Airfix kits 2/- from Goldings was the answer and then balsa models and all the parafinalia that went with them. Thank you Goldings. Having been in Australia for the last 50 years if I came back to the mother country forget the Tower of London or the changing of the guard, I'd be off to Goldings!
I always check if Goldings have it before I go anywhere else- Customer service is second to none and I'm a firm believer in supporting local business!
Great to be back in the store and to see it going well! Looking forward to see the new model stock! Fantastic friendly service as always!
