Green Gate Cottage (Visit England 4 Star GOLD Award Self Catering) is in a quiet location within walking distance (20 minutes / 3 minutes by car) from Southwold, Suffolk's premier coastal town and its beach, pier, shops, harbour, restaurants, pubs, golf course, leisure facilities and other amenities. It is suitable for both couples and families and we welcome young children.

The cottage offers an excellent base from which to explore the Heritage Coast and the Suffolk countryside, with Minsmere, Snape, Aldeburgh, Great Yarmouth and the Norfolk Broads all within a reasonable driving distance. Whatever the weather or time of year, there is lots to see and do in the area.

Refurbished and updated to a high standard, the cottage offers comfortable, well quipped accommodation with full gas central heating and an open fire to cosy up to if you want to take a break out of season. There are 2 double bedrooms (one with space for a full size cot /cotbed and travel cot) and a bedroom with 2 twin 3' beds. The bathroom has a full size bath with shower over and there is also a separate downstairs cloakroom. The cottage also has a conservatory and a small walled courtyard garden with outdoor furniture, where you can catch the early morning sun at breakfast time or relax at the end of the day with a slice of homemade cake or jam.

Free parking is available on the roadside or on an unmade cul-de-sac at the side of the cottage.

Free Broadband WiFi is also available for guests and a Playstation 2 with games is available. A small games table is available to hire at £10 per week or part thereof, with a £75 security deposit.

Welcome tray on arrival, including homemade cake or jam, fresh milk, tea, coffee and sugar. Starter pack for open fire in winter.

We have an extensive range of baby and toddler equipment available that can be booked in advance including full size wooden cot /cotbed, toddler bed, travel cot, 2 high chairs, play pen, toys, books and dvds, toddler cutlery & tableware, steriliser, baby-bath, change mat, toilet equipment, single push-chair. Blackout blinds /curtains are provided in al the bedrooms.

Please note, Ist floor and garden are on varying levels.
