Anyone know who this Eco warrior is who was saving the planet by recycling cigarette butts at 3am in the morning in our smoking area?

Due to high demand we will be staying open all day today so that all you lucky people on a snow day from work can further enjoy yourselves. Food will be served again from 5pm as usual

We WILL be open again today with food served 11.45am until 2.00pm then served again from 5pm until 9.00 (Thanks to the staff for making a sterling effort at getting to work and suppliers so we don't run out of food and heaven forbid beer.

Some snow art done by some of our wonderful customers who have had far to much free time off work due to the arctic conditions.

Buses taken off the roads, School's closed around the area, However we will be open as normal with a nice roaring fire to keep warm.

Now available Birra Moretti and Amstel to add to Carling,Coors and Fosters for our draught lager selection.

Just had this review. The best 12oz gammon steak you will ever be served. No other place comes near. I will be back. And if the chef leaves, I will find him and I will kill him.

Went for meal for 21st Birthday over 20 ppl meals were fantastic and plenty of it too I had steak pie chips n Veg the pastry was melt in the mouth gorgeous..staff are lovely and friendly definitely recommend

We were staying at the Durham coastal lodge went out for a male at the half moon it was very busy but still fit us in on a Saturday night our meals was value for money very happy we returned on the Sunday for our lunch definitely recommend it x

We visit friends who live in the area and always meet at the Half Moon . We live in Newcastle . It’s well worth the drive to visit .It’s the Half Moon that would make me move to the area . Always good food and good prices . Yes it’s always busy but what else would you expect it’s pretty special .

We came here for lunch with my husband and son for the first time, we had a lovely time from start to finish, all staff were welcoming and friendly, quick service, food was delicious, very clean place 5 stars+ even down to the decoration which was done out well, good atsmosphere, will be back soon. I visit the Half Moon on a regular basis as I find it hard to find anywhere as good . The staff are lovely and the food is beautiful . I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to everyone , give it a go , you won't regret it .

Haven't found a better pub to eat in. We have tried a few and some have come close but we always end up back in the Half Moon at Easington Village.

Had a lovely meal service was great well looked after . Will go back again

Great night out with Hubby he had a small mixed grill lol see pic wouldn't like to see the big one still had room for my desert spotty Dick & custard staff great we were made welcome from going in to coming home definitely be back mint !!!

First time here due to recommendations of friends. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Huge portions and had to take home the rest but very tasty. Will be back definitely and will get small portion �

Cannot fault this establishment. Expect to receive a Great All~Round Service As Nothing Less Than Great Is Given Here. Food is beautiful (broad & wide menu) care and attention to detail ~ Real good customer service. Lovely atmosphere to relax and unwind in. The log fire is perfect in the depths of winter and the outside areas are also perfect for the hottest days of summer. # Amstel ## COORS.

I would have given 5* but was ignored by the woman Serving behind the bar she served all my group of friends washed a few glasses then proceeded to say to a man ( I'm guessing he's a regular ) are you being served and she then poured a pint and another drink for him washed another 2 glasses and then said to me are you being served? . I should have said no I normally just stand at the bar with £20 in my hand watching barmaids ignore me. Tut.

Service for food was spot on may I add.

Great if you like frozen food dished up as home cooked. My daughter's "Kiev balls" were Bernard Matthews turkey kievs. Ok the chips were hand cut, but the veg was straight out a carrot pea and corn frozen mix. Food from the 50's, done to an average standard for 2017 prices
