Went two days ago with my husband for lunch. It was practically empty but we were greeted warmly. The food was really good and the new waitress was very helpful in finding answers to our questions. The choice of menu was very good and you had unlimited excess to salads. We attend Slimming World so the Harvester is ideal for us. The only slight downside was that we weren’t asked if we had been before and didn’t know that the salads were included. We worked that out for ourselves

Visited harvester North Shields tonight and the food was lovely and service was fab � Joanne was our waitress - very chatty, helpful and was good at recommending certain dishes (in particular the cheesecake which was to die for �) will definitely return...

Service was unbelievable along with great food. Our waitress was Sarah and she couldn't have done anymore to make us more welcome.

Popped in yesterday with my wife and 2 kids. We where sat down straight away and offered drinks on the spot. The woman server was very nice and took our orders quickly. Food was amazing and my kids and wife thoroughly enjoyed it. Best part was the pudding but my youngest daughter could not finish all of her build you're own cookie so we had it boxed up to take home. This is where the service for me got even better. We went to the softplay afterwards and my wife realised she had left the boxed up cookie in the restaurant. When she went back through to see if it was still there the staff said it could of possible been thrown out. To our surprise we where offered another cookie with all the toppings to take home which we where really grateful for. Overall food was amazing staff where really good. Been before and will definitely come back.

Popped in on our way to the playhouse and never been in a harvester before got seats straight away and the young man serving is was very helpful and polite ( he was a trainee) food( nice to see a different variety complained to others chained places ) and drinks were spot on and service all round was too, girls at bar very chatty and polite would definitely visit it again highly recommend

My husband and I quite regularly go in but today was quite special as it was our first meal out with my 9 day old daughter. I felt very welcome, the Staff are always so friendly and they were fawning over my little one. I felt very comfortable as i breastfed and was just made to feel happy and relaxed. The salad was lovely and fresh as always and I had the sea bass with chorizo it was delicious. Had a cookie freakshake too which was a wonderful treat. My husband and in-laws also enjoyed what they had. I will now enjoy coming here more, safe in the knowledge that it is a truly family friendly place. Thank you for making my first meal out with my baby fun �

My children went to Harvester for the breakfast with Elsa and Olaf and weren't disappointed!!! What fantastic staff who made both of them feel so welcome and special!!! Posing for lots of photos so they could show all their friends. Amazing pancakes too with lots of fresh fruit!! Thank you so much giving them a day they won't forget!!!

Me and my friend come here most Saturdays for breakfast and we love it, food is fab and the staff are second to none! They can’t do enough for you and always make your visit a pleasant experience, in particular Janis and another lady(who’s name I don’t know but Janis will know who im talking about). Keep up the good work and you should be proud to have such fantastic staff working for you xxxx

Had a fantastic mothers day meal today - there were 9 of us including 3 young children & we did our best to totally confuse our waitress with our haphazard way of ordering but she was absolutely lovely & managed to make sense of our confused ramblings! The set menu had a great variety of choices & the kids menu was excellent, I especially liked that the children also get an unlimited salad with their main as this was a big hit with our children & kept them happy whilst the grown ups ate their starters! The food was delicious & the portions were very generous (especially when we had already taken advantage of the unlimited salad bar!) Excellent value for money & the staff were extremely friendly & efficient especially given how busy they were. Will definitely be back �

First visit for us and we were certainly impressed! The staff couldn't have been more helpful, in the pub and the play area, they couldn't do enough for us, organising a table for us whilst the kids played, (which took away so much stress trying to keep kids occupied while food arrives). The food itself was lovely, well presented and very tasty..compliments to the chef. Thank you for your hospitality, we will certainly be returning!

Came in on 17/2/18 as l won a valentine meal for 2 l was greeted straight away was asked where we would like to sit taken to our table manger Callum came and welcomed us service was excellent all the staff went out of there way very friendly and smiling which is lovely to see place was kepted very clean food came and was hot and it was lovely cooked how you liked it thank you to the lovely staff for making myself and husbands night a memorable one and thank you Callum for making this happen will definitely be back for another meal.

My girlfriend and I popped in Sunday lunchtime .. it was my first visit ... quite busy lots of families ... we were shown to a table straight away the staff were extremely friendly and helpful ... I’m vegan and I was unsure if they would have anything on the menu but the young lady who served us pointed out they now have a small selection of vegan meals on the menu ... my girlfriend opted for fish and chips and I went for the aubergine taugine. we waited over half an hour for our meals .. possibly because I opted for the vegan meal or they were just busy ... the food was fantastic and my aubergine Taugine was perfect and freshly cooked so I’ll let them off for the wait ... the fish and chips looked fantastic and judging by girlfriends empty plate they were ... you also get unlimited soft drinks there’s a free salad and bread bar which is a really nice touch ... I would have give it a 5 star but for the slight wait for the food but Will definitely go back and the manageress said they are going to add to the vegan options soon ... well done Harvester well impressed

Normally love this place and come every couple of weeks - first time last night after new menu introduced and wasn't impressed. Waitresses were fantastic - as usual - and couldnt be faulted but had to wait 40 minutes in between finishing starter and getting main meal. Husbands chips were cold and by time he cut the fat off his gammon it was just a strip ! My chicken was more chargrilled than 'simply chicken' and the veg has been changed which i wasn't impressed by. Normally get 4 types of veg with meal - has now been changed to just broccoli and butternut squash - which unfortunately I don't like - so just had broccoli - but even so, less choice for same cost - disappointed

Went today with my wife, daughter and step-son. Got 3 refillable cokes, empty glasses plonked on the table infront of us with no explanation of what to do or where to go, not even a smile.

Kids menu wasn't really a kids menu, simple kids things like chicken nuggets not on there. The chips were absolutely covered in salt, so much so i didn't eat them. Ordered a mixed grill with a medium done steak. The only thing i liked was the sausage. Steak was over-done and very chewy, as was the gammon. The amount of salt on my 3 year old daughter's chips was disgusting, this was taken from the kids menu, so would presume that they would not put any on. There is salt on the table. Let people put their own on.

£50 and all of us came away hungry. Wont be back soon

Only got a 2 star because my daughter loved the soft play.

We visited yesterday after recommending to family, we were disappointed when we ordered from the menu to be told they didn't have what I wanted, I chose something else and after ten minutes they came to tell me they didn't have this either. When ordering another meal we asked if we could swap one of the items, this seemed like a real chore, although they did do this. They salad needed refilling and there was no butter to go with the bread. In their defence it was a busy time but it wasn't the visit we had planned. I won't be hurrying back.

Soft play was great! Went next door for food afterwards, 3 adults and a 3 year old. Waited 40-50 minutes for our food at mid-day with only another 6 people inside! No communication on how long we would be waiting, son ended up asleep so wasted his! Food was lovely but the ridiculous wait means we won’t be back! Seemingly you have to wait a ridiculous time for a reply to a private message also...shock!

Came in for breakfast before work for first time ever and i wont be back for the price the food wasn't great at all the mushrooms and tomatoes had sone sort of seasoning on them which was awful the bacon was cooked bit cold the sausages and poached eggs were nice however for 9 pound per person seems very pricey staff were attentive and polite however

Yesterday 7th may 2018 myself, my friend and her children came here for softplay and lunch!



whilst we were sat inside the softplay area, we could smell something disgusting! we asked the lady behind the counter if the smell was coming from the toilet, she replied "i dont know"



my friends 18 month old baby was playing with a toy train from the soft play and when she picked him up we realised his hands were covered in poo! it was all inside the toy train (a compartment that opened on the toy)

we complained to the lady who replied " ill just bin it" nothing else!

The food then arrived and was disgusting for the price of it, for exsample we orderd from the childs menu "chicken strips and chips" and when this arrived it was actually less then hand full of chips and half a chicken brest sliced up.

ive been here before and it was lovely this trip here has put us off the place completly and i wouldnt reccomend it to any friends or family if they asked my opinion!
