We ask the manager if our twin boys could come in the pram along side us at the table and he said no problem.

The meal from start to finish was great just had to change one jacket potato as it was hard and it was no problem to them.to change it.

Full components to the chefs for a great cooked juicy meal and good service from the waitress and all this on Valentine’s Day too.

Visited this harvester this morning for breakfast with my partner and 3 year old daughter. We were given a table straight away and the waiter was very friendly and great with my daughter who took a shine to him . The food was delicious and the breakfast bar was full and fresh. Thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast and went home happy and full. Thank you!

User

Had a great lunch there on sat food was lovely staff very helpful. We got a table straight away and staff couldn't do enough for us. Had refillable coffees and didn't have to ask once to be refilled staff continually checked. Has improved since my last visit will go again x

User

I went with my husband on Valentine's day, and had a pleasant meal, the staff were courteous and efficient and also friendly. As I. Most restaurant the vegetarian options are limited but on the whole a nice experience. Thank you.

User

A friend and I decided to go out to lunch at The Harvester as a spontaneous decision. We were seated quickly and the bar steward arrived straight away for our drink order and delivered it equally quickly. Our server Karen took our order as soon as she saw we had decided what we wanted. We then went to the salad bar which was well stocked and fresh looking - Ben was the salad chef that day. We were slow eating our salad as we were busy chatting so our main was brought up again in good time (our fault we weren't quite ready, too busy talking instead of eating). Anyway we both enjoyed our meals, cooked nicely and altogether a very pleasant lunch break - thank you.

User

. Service was good, food nice and hot. I would have preferred the childs meal to be a bit cooler as children prefer to eat now!! Downside? Oh yes, that useless car park...why oh why do you have to walk around the building in order to get in..??

User

Been to better harvesters then this one, awful ribs my partner had, full of gristle. My vegetarian dish had hardly any veg with it. But they charge a fortune.

User

we have eaten here on many occasions without problems to be fair our meal last night was not the best my father in law left most of his as it was overcooked my fish was dry and chips were cold we paid and left sorry harvester you didnt come up to scratch on this occasion

User

Not worth the money. We were told there would be a twenty minute wait which was fine as it was a busy Sunday, but we waited about half an hour for a table. Once we had ordered food we waited at least another 45 minutes. No apology at any point. The food was fine for my husband and I but our three-year-old's meal was disgraceful. It is not a cheap place to eat, albeit, not the most expensive. But highly disappointing and not worth the money.

User

Had triple chicken, the quarter roast was mushy, strange texture. The cajuan chicken taste remind me if moldy bread, not sure how it supposed to taste but didn't suit my pallet at all. The breaded strip was just fine. Won't be going back

User

Had simple chicken. Jackets were from lunchtime and reheated.. . Like wax.

Veg was lime bullets... chicken and salad for me.. had a new app on phone to collect stamps.. no-one knew how to use it.. perhaps brief colleagues before introducing new offers..

User

Entrance to restaurant is not wheelchair friendly so struggled to get in....doors need to be pulled outwards towards you. You get into porch but then need to do the same to get through second door but wheelchair is in the way.

Starter and main meal sent out minus part of advertised content so had to be sent back. Fillet steak was awful and couldnt be eaten as it was full of gristle. Waitress had to be requested to come and serve despite the fact that it wasn't busy . Waited 15 mins for our first drink. Not a good experience. Decided not to return .

User

Went to the harvester in grays at 7.30 just to be told that there now closed as they want to clean the canopy but on the website there was nothing stating this.

User

We went there today, didn’t have any milk shakes for the children but neglected to tell us until we asked where they were!!! The waitress who served our meals was rude and bolshy, kind of threw the plates on the table, and when we paid, despite advertising ‘kids eat for £1, we needed a code, which we found and then our phone was taken to the manager for authorisation?!?! What’s with that?? New menu portions are much smaller and now no soft drink refills. Suffice to say, we won’t be returning.

User

To whom it may concern,

Myself and friends decided it would be fun to take our children for a Christmas breakfast. After looking at various different adverts we all agreed that harvester is a nice child friendly place and booked.

When making our booking via phone I confirmed the following;

Would there be a meet and great with santa?

Would there be age appropriate toys for 1 year olds?

Would there be Christmas activities and music?

All of which was agreed and I was assured it would be 'a fun morning for our children'.

Sadly after attending this morning fun wouldn't be the word I would used to describe our 'christmas breakfast'.

On arrival I was greated by a rather abrupt and stressed lady in a grey Christmas jumper who stated father Christmas had called in sick. Unfortunately we was not told of this before arriving. She later asked how many people were in our party and left us waiting for a good 10 minutes whilst setting up our table. Shocking that this was not organised before our arrival? Surely that's the point of booking?

When seated there was not a single cracker, hat, light or but of happiness in sight. Instead an elf rudely shouted the 3 different egg options. Fried, poached or scrambled. Whilst I appreciated her attention to my egg needs a smile would have been a nice touch. She also informed us that you had run out of hash browns, coke and decaf coffee. After the meal we had to ask for our gift for the children. The gift was not age appropriate nor wrapped.

Not one Christmas song was played, not one member of staff looked remotely jolly or shed any festive cheer.

Over all it was a poor show on harvesters behalf, poorly run and falsely advertised.

User

They have just ruined our children's Christmas experience. We had booked in for breakfast with santa this morning, we received a phone call saying that Santa was sick. The only offer was to squeeze us in next week which we can't do. They didn't have any plans if this happened. I now have 3 very upset children.

User

Just came back the service wasn’t great and the food was absolutely disgusting everything was over cooked had to have my daughters food removed from the bill as the chicken wasn’t even fit to eat. A complete waste of £70 and will not be returning any time soon. Only word is SHOCKING!!

User

I wouldn't go back. Evidential shortage of staff. Chair seat creases are lined with food debris, the napkins fall apart as soon as you touch them and the chips were awful.

I do like the new quinoa salad mix on the free salad bar, that's good and tasty. So I was amazed to see it for sale on the main menu.

Seriously Harvester. You are really going down the pan and getting a bad rep..

User

I had Simply Grilled Chicken, which was good. The jacket potato it came with was good BUT the vegetables that come with it ie Squash and Broccoli were awful, practically raw they were. I’ve had al dente lots of times before but these were as good as raw. Awful. Couldn’t put a knife or fork to them, without them shooting across the restaurant. Oh well, nice knowing you Harvester, won’t be coming again 😢
