Had steak,it was lovely and salad too,very tasty.it was a Sunday afternoon near to Christmas and really busy,service was good considering this.

Had a really lovely evening meal last night with my husband the service was great the food was really lovely especially my fish and chips, the lady that served us was very friendly really great evening

Clean friendly and great service. One of the nicest harvesters we have been to. Highly recomend.

The meal was absolutely lovely, apart from the sweetcorn which was stone cold. I asked if this was how they were serving it now the waitress was very good she said she would have a word with the Manager and returned to tell me that our drinks order would be free, This was the first time I have ever had a problem and it was dealt with without any fuss.

Thank you to the lovely service and the staff are really polite. I would have liked to see croissants and pastries or mini muffins which is why I didn’t give it a five.

Booked online on the Saturday before what I would expect to be a very busy Sunday the week before Christmas, didn't think I would get anywhere at short notice for 6 adults and 5 children, this included 2 that required high chairs but The Harvester came good and all booked for 14:00, got a nice reminder on the day and an hour before the booking. Arrived on time to a very busy restaurant but the table was ready and a friendly greeting from the obviously overworked staff. Didn't have to wait long for drinks to be ordered and with some very difficult children shouting out what they would like, the waitress was unphased by it all and took it in her stride. Food ordered and it sounded like everyone around us on the other tables were really enjoying experience, like our party, having a laugh and getting in to the festive spirit. Salad bar visited many times by some of my party and they certainly enjoyed what was available, the main food came and everyone got what they wanted apart from my 13 year old grandson but it was a minor thing and sorted very quickly. I had the festive rack of ribs and sage and onion(great idea by the way)seasoned fries. The meat was tender and there was certainly enough. Desserts ordered and again, all o.k apart from something that was not available but it was not a problem, still plenty to choose from. Over all it was a good experience and my hat goes off to the staff for keeping so patient and working so hard in what can be a stressful business, especially this time of year.

Went for breakfast this morning had a 30 min wait which wasn't the problem but after waiting that long I started to feel unwell, I went and explained to a member of staff and asked if it was too late to cancel my order, all fine said yes so cancelled mine but my dad still had he's. It wasn't till later once I started to feel a bit better I looked at the receipt (my dad paid so didn't think to question it while there) anyways he still got charged for mine and his breakfast so it ended up being a really expensive breakfast for him :( I wouldn't have minded but the table next to us had boxes to take away what they hadn't finished and if I had known you could do this and that we was still getting charged for it I would have asked for a take away box and eaten a nice bacon and sausage buttie later. Just wish someone had said would you like to take it away since your going to be paying for it anyway.

Well quite disappointed really took ages to come out and take order tgen lobger to acyually bring breakfast out ,dont know if there was a staff shortage. Also sat with a little 1 was hard he was hungry .Breakfast came out sausages where over done ! would normally of sent back but wasnt prepared to wait another 40 mins .

Waiter was very polite, the food was ok, chips were to salty, fried egg was to hard but the salad bar was nice. Went at 6pm wasn’t busy at all. Had to have Budweiser as they don’t sell carlsberg. Table service was good

I have attended the Harvester many times but I feel that it has gone downhill a bit. The wait times for our food were the longest they have ever been. The meat was great but the chips looked like they had been reheated and tasted like it too. The corn on the cobb was waterlogged. My fudge cake was also very dry. When I was filling my drink up I heard swearing from the kitchen, which I do not expect to hear in a family restaurant. A bit of a disappointing visit this time round.

We were greeted well.

The waitress was nice.

However our drinks were delivered looking quite miserable, no ice, no lemon.

I asked for some to be told there was no lemon.

We were waiting for our food but whilst doing this from my table I could hear the chef swearing and shouting. Something about someone not coming in??!

Not appropriate when I have a 4 year old sitting with me...I requested my peppercorn sauce as they had forgot to bring it over, the chef said “oh shit, I forgot”!!!

All I could hear was the staff talking amongst themselves.

Made for a real weird atmosphere as the music was so low.

Food was terrible, burnt steak, burnt broccali. I explained I was not enjoying it to be offered a free dessert. However when I declined eventually my steak was removed.

Overall, depressing....

Won’t be coming back...

so today we order food to find the condiments covered in well no idea.. shocking service

We arrived at the harvester and 6 o'clock and it wasn't busy. To start with we had to ask for the kids activity packs as they were not offered- to keep our children occupied and as we where ordering we where advised not to have the kids meal deal as the ice cream machine was broken. Then no children's burgers or fish so not much left to choose from! Once we received our meals we asked for some kids cutlery which we had to ask for again as they never turned up. The peppers at the salad bar were slimy and the wife had to ssk fit fresh. Then the wife's Burger had a top of a tomato including the green stalk in it as both our coleslaw tasted and smelt off only for the manager to say that's how it is normally with not a care in the world! Once finished and after about a 10 min wait had to go up and pay as no one even bothered to come back to the table once food was served. The staff in there weren't the greatest and just blamed it on lack off staff however, there was 5 staff and it was half full with only half the menu available so not hard!! Shame I can't say this is not the norm for this restaurant but I think every time I have gone in there I have come away disgusted. Never again!

Was there on Sunday! The worst meal I have ever had!! Would have sent it back but the staff didn't fill me with confidence, could have got anything back!! Service was absolute rubbish too.

Lots of alternative places to eat in the area, I advise you try those!!

The menu options I wanted they didn’t have in stock I then ordered my daughter sausage with a side of jacket potato (yes this is a side) as they didn’t have potatoes & I was meant to have chicken with the same side only to be told they don’t have potatoes either . . Really!? With a child and I had to ask for colouring stuff that’s a real pet hate it should be offered upon arrival. Won’t be visiting again should of gone elsewhere

Staff polite enough, dirty cutlery, slow kitchen, 30 minutes to bring out a breakfast which was cold and dry. Poached egg was hardboiled. Cheaper and quicker at the Toby next door. Poor won't be returning.

Service was poor and the food wasn’t much better,my wife had the simply chicken with a jacket potato and veg and gravy the potato was rock solid on the outside and very dry. Also this was supposed to come with gravy which it didn’t, and my wife had to go and ask for it as it wasn’t on the plate. I had the mix grill and for 14 pound this was a rip off , the salad there was no rolls we had to ask for them as well you have really gone down hill

Partner had booked a table before arrival since it was a special occasion, once we arrived the table had still not been cleared by previous occupants so was told to wait (this table was out of the way from the main dining area.)



About 5 minutes after we sat down a waitress came to order for drinks, they took 10 minutes to arrive however we never heard from the waitress again; nearly an hour waiting for someone to come take our food order we'd had enough so eventually found someone so we could pay for drinks bill and left.



Quite a disappointing time for what is usually a nice place however that did dampen the mood since it was a birthday meal.



Unlikely to go there again for a special occasion.

I went to the harvester edith cook way on 2nd march .in the evening i was brought a cold cup of coffe to start with then when i politely told them they said they would bring me another one what they didnt say was it was gonna be colder then the first one .then we had to send our dinners back cos something didnt taste right .then they brought us another lot an that wasnt right we only eat a small amount .we got charged full price for everything .when i got home i felt very unwell called my friend an she said the same very sick an stomach cramps .
