What can I say, food was good, hot and tasted great. I would like to know where the BBQ sauce comes from.

Had a last minute chance to visit for hubby's 50th Birthday, and what a great choice it was... Phone 30 minutes before arrival to see if they could fit us in and they did, very friendly staff, and great food too. 4 adults and 2 kids to feed and everyone left very happy and full.... will be back in in february to celebrate my birthday too xx

Been here on loads of occasions, came here again tonight for a meal, food is always good, excellent service and friendly staff. Will definitely be back again soon!

To warm for me in main restaurant so I moved into bar area to have my meal,where it was a bit cooler.The meal was first class ,the Gammon steak was nice and tender,the fries were excellent.The girl in the bar( Roxie) who served me was exceptional,very friendly and helpful.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. They were very busy but still did a good job. Unfortunately it was a busy day and the food was nearly all gone by the time we got there but we will still go back

I took four of my family last Thursday the 11th of April to the Cat and Fiddle, at 18.35 after waiting for 5 minutes we were told by a grumpy young woman that there were no tables available until 19.30 . Firstly if there was a notice board at the entrance saying this myself and the four other family's who were also told the same, could walk away without waiting but as we sat in the car , I went on line and booked a table for 19.00 , so we went back in and told the same woman that we now have a table booked, she wasn't convinced. After waiting 5 minutes we were shown to out table. In the hour we were there, there were 15 tables not being used. Still had no reply from the company .

I'm only giving this place a 3 because the staff were lovely. The food wasn't great, my partners food was cold. I get it's "pub grub" but for £66 for 2 adults and 2 children we expect our food to at least be hot! The women's toilets were absolublty disgusting! Someone had thrown up in the sink, the toilets were soaked and just generally dirty.

not the best of Harvesters. food is average. my husband had a sticky toffee pudding which he said was dry & lukewarm. i tried one of your new ones, the baileys mud pie which on your menu says has coffee mousse in it, well someone should tell your staff this because mine had no mousse but vanilla ice cream instead.

Was very disappointed, didn't have any salmon or sea bass. Was only 7pm! Ordered a rib eye steak in a bun with jacket potato. The potato was obviously an old one, reheated and very small! Bun was soggy and inedible. Asked for another one and was told they didnt have anymore jacket potatoes! Offered fries but I don't like fries. Find it totally unacceptable that they have run out of fish and potatoes at 7pm! Wasn't waitress's fault, she was very apologetic, will not be going back anytime soon! Asked for another glass of wine, took ages to arrive even though it wasn't busy. The best part of the meal was the salad cart! Management needs looking at, should NOT run out of essentials so early in the evening!!

My food was ok but my son ordered a butternut and chickpea burger , it was very poor it was as flat as a pancake and burnt not impressed think it's gone downhill , the cat and fiddle where we went , it looked a mess when you walked in , dirty tables and where I sat I was freezing no heating on what so ever , won't be going back !!!

Another disappointment at The Cat and Fiddle, arrived, advised 30 minute wait for a table, no problem, sat in the bar and had a drink while waiting. Shown to our table some 30 minutes later and on ordering told no jacket potatoes, when asked about other healthy options, the waitress suggested sweet potato fries, fries or mash! When I said, there was a Sainsbury's down the road she kindly pointed out they were not aloud to purchase from there, and that there was nothing she could do about and walked off! So we left and went to the Toby carvery where we had a lovely meal and we're treated with respect.

We ordered fish and chips. The food when it arrived was horrible. The fish tasted manky and chips were cold. We were sat by a window which was starting to rot. The waitresses gathered together and were chatting.

The pudding was lovely. Just shame about main course.

Doubt I'd go there again.

Lazy staff. We arrived at 4pm for an early dinner. After waiting over 5 minutes to be seated, and being ignored even by eye contact from three members of staff, we left and went elsewhere for dinner.

I've given this venue 3 chances to improve but sadly it looks a lot better than what's to be found inside. Food is less than appealing, fine if you only want burgers or chicken. On first visit the chips were dry & cold, 2nd visit I tried the risotto which was dry & inedible, on it my last visit I struggled to find something I could fancy & ordered Scampi with tartare sauce, it arrived minus the tartare sauce because they'd run out. Obviously they're only catering for passing trade who are unlikely to come back.

I could not believe how shockingly bad this pub was 😰

Bit of an indifferent evening. Sat down and when asked for a lager was told they had no draft lager as they had no gas. People next to us ordered fish. They were then told that the last adult fish had been sold but they could have two child's fish that would be the same as an adult. When it came it did not look too good. When they complained they basically got totally fobbed off which sort of spoilt the whole evening seeing someone being treated so badly. Very poor customer service as they had a totally valid complaint.

Been to the harvester up here a few times and each time was never brilliant but this time was awful. A few weeks ago me and my partner went on up for an evening meal, we ordered our food I had ordered the 8oz rump, when the food came the steak had a really foul smell to it not sure if it was the garlic butter they put on it but anyway I ate a small piece of it and it really didn’t taste right and the smell of it was disgusting my partner even tasted a small piece and he said “it smells and tastes like it’s gone off” from then on I couldn’t eat the rest of my food as I felt really sick after the smell and taste of it. I told the waitress she asked me what it smells of I told her and said see for yourself and then she even said it does smell funny!!! She then went and told the chef but he didn’t seem to bothered that the bit of steak they cooked was off. the waitress then offered me other things and was apologetic but I really didn’t want anything else as I felt really sick. As we got the bill they only took off £5 even though I only had one bite out of the foul steak I still had to pay for the rest of the meal that I couldn’t eat, I never even got an apology from the chef or nor did he want to no anything about it , anyway I didn’t care as I just wanted to get home as I could feel my stomach churning. The next few day I was really sick my mum rang the restaurant up to say about the situation and all they had to say was “we can’t do anything as you don’t know if it’s food Poisoning”.

Not happy at all and I will never return there as they weren’t helpful at all! And the way I look at it is,

I said it smelt off,

My partner said it smelled off,

The waitress said it smelt funny

Then that means the chef would have smelt it too but he still served it!
