The small play area in the center of the farm will be closed for minor maintenance for the next week. We are sorry for any inconvenience and would like to reassure all of our visitors that they will still be able to visit the main Bloody Hollow play area. We thank you for your cooperation

Watch as the sheep of Hatfield Park Farm get their flocks ready for summer! Sheep shearing demonstrations will be taking place today 🐑 #sheepshearing #whatsontoday #familyday

User

Stuart and his team use trained and untrained sheep dogs to herd ducks, amusing and educating the audience about common dog behaviour issues and about how these can be resolved.
The show demonstrates how untrained and poorly behaved dogs still have a programmed natural instinct, giving the audience a new understanding of the Way of the Dog.
Normal farm admission prices apply, £5 for adults, £2.50 for children and under 3’s are free.

We spent a lovely couple of hours here; feeding the animals, riding the tractor and enjoying the playground. Lots of lambs with the newest arrivals easy to see in a separate area. We will definitely be back.

User

We had such a lovely sunny day there. It's great value and I love the open space. I can never get the kids out of the sand pits. The bloody hollow is a good challenge for them too. We visit often.

User

This has been one of my favourite spaces to go to over the years. Initially used to come very regularly with my daughter when she was younger, I returned yesterday for the first time in a long time with my 3 year old.

He had a great time! Loved playing in the sand and loved the play area!

User

Such an amazing venue for a party. My 6 year old had amazing day with her friends. The kids cabin and private green area is a great spot for a party and there is so much to do. The tractor ride was brilliant, the driver was friendly and very accomodating. All the children had a great time.

User

My daughter (12 years) and I visited here yesterday! Sun was shining. Free car park that had plenty of spaces- not often you get anything for free- great that you don’t have to pay to park. We had a tasty ice cream, which was reasonably priced and there was no queue!

There was no animal food left to purchase (50p) but we did arrive quite late in the day.

Once inside the farm (a bargain at £7.50 for both of us), my daughter loved stroking the goats, sheep, donkeys and looking at the pigs etc. Plenty of hand washing facilities and toilets around the site.

We didn’t do the tractor ride as were quite content wandering around. There is an adventure playground too but we didn’t visit this either.

It wasn’t too busy, which was nice.

All in all, we had a lovely, quiet afternoon. Thank you Hatfield farm.

Will be re-visiting.

User

Lovely day out, only £5 per adult and my baby was free. Animals all looked very happy and in great condition. Free car park and there's a cafe/restaurant that you can visit if want.

User

Love this place where else can u go for a fiver for hours of fun with a 2 year get up close to friendly animals ducks followed as around lol, park, tractor ride , sand pits all for a fiver x had to pay more for train but great day if weather ok x not sure why more people dont use this farm

User

I love the farm and it is such a great price. How ever I’ve been continuously trying to contact via phone, email, Facebook, and written but still I’m having no luck. There seems to be a lot of bad reviews at the moment. Would like to book a party for the farm in July but after all this I’m wondering if it’s worth it.

User

I had a day off work, the weather was nice, so I checked what I could do with myself. And hey presto, teddy bear picnic popped up! At first I thought it would be all fun and games, but I was to be mistaken. Upon turning up to the farm me and my teddy were greeted by a herd of intimidating cows, straight away we ran for cover to the trees only to be compiled with further misery as a chicken dropped all of its previous nights dinner, through its bum hole right on to my teddy's head. Covered in poo and scared for our lives, we were almost ready to give up on the dream. However we made one final decision to try out the food on offer at the picnic. I went for the cheese crackers - they were cracking. And teddy went for his favourite dish, a ham sandwich. Despite my best efforts, teddy was just not taking the food, his mouth was sewed shut. We called it a day, waved goodbye to the other teddies and went on our merry way.

User

Attended the farm with my 4 and 7 year olds, they loved the day, farm was great and spacious. My boys loved the free tractor ride, and the miniature train ride was reasonably priced too. Play areas dotted around the farm was fab too. Overall a great day out

User

Was a good day out with me and a 4 year old. Only let down was the price of food and drinks from the cafe. Would be better if they sold bottled water at the kiosk or have access to drinking water.

User

Very nice day out only problem nowhere to get a drink unless you walk back to the stable yard which I found to be very expensive considering I had 3 kids could have a pop up shop in the warmer months but my kids enjoyed it

User

Myself and my husband took our 2 youngest grandaughters 3yrs and 22 months to the farm. Which we all loved plenty of space for them to run around and could feed the animals 50p bag of food. Loved the sandpit and went on the tractor twice. We were able to visit the stable yard for food and use the facilities. Went into bloody hollow and we enjoyed that aswell. We definatley visit again and wished that we had found it sooner as it is only 30 mins from home.

User

Great little farm for a day out. There were three adults and my 1 year old and my friends 2.5 year old. We Loved feeding the animals, the diggers in the sand pit and the train ride. Shame the tractor wasn't running but still a great time was had by all. Will def return again.

User

Visited Bloody Hollow today. The children loved it and the play area is of a high standard. However, just one Porta Loo by the gate, very shabby and unable to flush the toilet. Very poor. Alternatively we could have walked all the way back to the stable yard - not ideal when a child is desperate to use the loo.

If we visit again we'll bring our own refreshments. I paid £3.50 for a cappuccino in a paper cup, £1.50 for a bag of crisps and £1.00 for a tiny milk lolly. The cafe was clean and presentable but these prices will probably be beyond the range of an ordinary family's day out. Elitist and unrealistic in my opinion.

User

Really lovely farm and a great place for the family to visit. However I was a little horrified to see that the two ponies were situated in a bald field full of ragwort which is very poisonous to horses/ponies. Very disappointed to see this given that Hatfield park farm should be setting an example of good animal care. Please remove the ragwort.

User

Lovely place for the kids to walk aroubd but has run out of food for the animals and its not even 12 oclock! 3 bot so happy children as the animals wont come near without some! And no notice before the half hour que that they have run out. And then get handed a voucher for a free bag of food Worth the visit but wouldnt come back

User

Great value day out, nice happy animals and friendly staff. Bloody hallow playground good for older ones but not for toddlers, shame not a few bits they could go on. More facilities near the farm would be better- toilets and coffee hut. We had to walk quite a way to the the one toilet across the car park and no baby change facilities.

User

Went to farm today to found out it was close still charge me and my daughter to go in the rubbish playground which is designed for older children not 2 year old went to restaurant very expensive not really anything for 2 year old to eat very disappointed.
