Role Overview
Joining an existing Agile/Scrum based Development Team to design, develop, test and deploy Windows applications and web services. The development work is part of our internal proprietary software integration platforms and support services. Primary integration is with the LexisNexis VisualFiles case management system. Leverage experience in C# and .Net development to enhance knowledgebase and best practices within the Development Team as well as mentor junior developers. Contribute to continuous improvement within the Team and the Company. About you
You will be enthusiastic and motivated by business successes, where your attention to detail will prove invaluable in making the right decisions for our business. We are looking for someone who enjoys working individually to achieve results and can recognise the influence their skills have on the growth of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
Create modern and clean Windows applications and secure web services utilising Microsoft .Net C#. Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C# code. Adhere to coding and security standards. Identify bugs, software defects and bad coding standards. Peer testing other developers’ code. Deliver working and shippable code within defined release constraints. Take an active role in all parts of the agile process (daily stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint planning) Work closely with Business, Development and Projects Teams. Critical Competencies:
Have excellent communications skills. Meticulous attention to detail. Ability to effectively self-manage time and prioritise requests. Minimum of 3 years developing the .net framework using C# Be willing to take on other tasks within the IT Department when required. Experience:
Essential:
- Microsoft .Net C# - MS Visual Studio - Unit Tests and Peer Code Review - Working in an agile environment - Web Services - XML and JSON - SOAP and REST - Github
Preferred:
- VisualFiles SDK Experience - WPF / XAML - Atlassian Jira - WCF - MVC - MVVM

Last year, we were able to donate £2806 to Macmillan Cancer Support after spending 2018 fundraising for the amazing charity!
This year, we will be raising money to go towards Mind and PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide, two causes very close to our hearts.
Our Sports and Social Committee already have an exciting calendar of events currently being planned in line with other initiatives around the business, so we're excited to support both charities this year and maximise our donations!

This is an entry level role. Therefore no insurance experience is necessary as we will provide you with full training and career progression opportunities, so we look forward to hearing from you!

We raised an amazing £850 for Macmillan Cancer Support through our #Halloween celebrations! Our staff dedicated all their own time and money to make this happen and we are so proud of their achievement!

The fundraising has begun in Sevenoaks and the donations are flooding in! At the moment, we have one clear winner, but everything could change! The guys have kindly agreed to have their legs waxed for charity, where all proceeds are going to Macmillan Cancer Support!
