Flu is very infectious and spread by germs from coughs and sneezes, which can live on hands and surfaces for 24 hours! Reduce the risk of spreading flu by using tissues when you cough or sneeze, wash your hands often with warm water and soap and quickly bin used tissues.

Not sure how NHS111 works? A fully trained advisor will ask you questions and, depending on your situation, you will be given self-care advice, be connected to a nurse, GP or emergency dentist or even get a face-to-face appointment if you need one.

Well got there eventually. Came in about 11 am with my son who fell off a sofa. He was complaining of it really hurting. But doctor said because he's not crying when it's being touched it's not broken just got anxiety about putting it down. Left there not happy with what he said but left non the less. Left my 6 year old crawling around for hours before taking him back to HUC and demanding an X-ray. Because brittle bones are present in his father. But they were told this on the first visit. After being belittled by the doctor about saying the dangers of my son being exposed to radiation he sent us round. And to have the result of a broken foot. thanks HUC for the extra stress. And pain to my son.

Herts urgent Care is not what it says on the label. I was going in to hospital as a blues and twos case, and phoned them to arrange care for my for my wife's medical needs for the next day, as I would be in for a few days. It turns out that the Dr for HUC is also the Dr for 111. This Dr asked the ambulance men to take my wife into hospital as well. This was not what the ambulance drivers are allowed to do and is not what a woman with SPMS needs. All she needed was someone to help her to the loo, as she can't do it for herself and it has to be by someone with medical expert skills in continents nursing. Then I told the ambulance men, that I would not go into hospital unless my wife's needs were attended to or arranged for the morning. I have a plan in place for this sort of thing, and would not have needed help, but the person who would step in for me, went on holiday two days before. HUC were now my only point for getting this done. The Dr told me and the ambulance men, that the rapid responce team would sort out my wife's needs, and that the nurses hub would be informed. After that she would be taken care of by the nurses hub. Happy with this I went to hospital and was treated. 11 and a half hours later after a phone call home, I had to discharge myself to go home and take care of my wife. No call ins from HUC, no Nurses called. No knowledge passed to our Dr. I did not inform anyone that I had come home, and no one called to see to my wife's needs that evening or the next morning. On my third day home, the Adult care services phoned to find out why I needed a carers assessment. Thank you HUC for almost killing my wife, as would have happened if I was kept in for 48 hours. Thank you for doing nothing at all. Thank you for ignoring your duty of care to my wife. Thank you for keeping me away from treatment until your, so called Dr could phone back, and assure me with his complete lies. You are not fit for the job you are doing in any way.
