Hi folks been somewhat breezy and seen some terrific lightning strikes however some folks on the island have been much less fortunate and our thoughts are with them and their families. Alison and Alan are safe and well and managing to enjoy a lot of the hospitality in their hotel. See you all soon x

User

Alison and Alan are off for a one week holiday to celebrate Alison’s birthday. We plan to return on Wednesday 17th October to open the shop. As most of our regulars are aware we are in the process of moving home and may come back to needing to move home and take a few more days off. We will keep you all updated on this both with a notice in the shop and on our Facebook page. We look forward to seeing you all after our holiday as we start getting ready for the festive period.

A very busy day and lots of fun

Saturday and we have two lovely ladies from Yakety Yak Young Actors Company in full period atire handing out leaflets and engaging with the public advertising their cause. Look out for their performance of The Little Cabaret of Suffragette which they will be performing at The Seagull Theatre on Friday 28th September 7.30pm and other venues across Suffolk. They are now off to The Port House (where they can see an array of salvaged local architectural and pieces of local interest) and a display by Bob Collis around WW11 air raid on Lowestoft. Plenty around town to see and do - all for free - search Heritage Open Days for details.

User

What a lovely tearoom. Homemade cake a pot of tea poured from a proper teapot into a proper cup and saucer surrounded by memorabilia of days gone by, lush

We took our children (8,6,2) who all love a cup of tea and they couldn't stop saying how great the tea shop was. Me and my husband loved it too. The millionaires shortbread was lovely.

We will defiantly be going again and look forward to sampling more bakes.

User

Stumbled upon by accident looking at the tea cups in the window, have been here 3 times and just had afternoon tea in there have to say it was absolutely amazing and will probably be going back every Friday

User

Popped in for a hot drink and something lovely to nibble on with my mum. I am gluten intolerant & was given the option of having a scone freshly baked but would take half an hour. If I had had more time would have definitely loved it so much. Going to allow more time next time or call in advance. Great hosts, fabulous service, lovely environment that will appeal to all ages. Thank you for giving a tea room experience that oozes personality

User

I visited honey bee vintage tea rooms this afternoon and have nothing but good things to say. The service was excellent, the scones that had been freshly made were the best we've tasted and the shop looks brilliant. Keep up the good work we'll be returning soon. Would highly recommend a visit you won't be disappointed.
