Tip of the Month!
Lipstick's most iconic colour has been reinvented this season, proving that there are endless ways to wear a dramatic red. Which red should you wear to suit your skin tone?
Here are a few pointers…
... If you are pale-skinned; bold red lipstick is not what you want. Have a look for shades that are more a mixture of coral-red, orange-red or peach-red. Subtler but more suitable!
If you have darker skin, you can get away with bolder red lipstick. Darker lipstick shades are best reserved for people with dark hair as the shades will complement each other.
Olive skinned should go for brighter reds. Dull, matte red, or purplish-reds, may not suit.
Asian complexions will work best with red lipsticks that have a blue or purplish undertone.
Whatever you do, try the lipstick before you buy it. If in doubt ask a professional!

Yesterday ( 21st april) i was lucky enough to go to the imagine health spa at orton hall peterborough, it was a lovely mothers day gift from my daughter.on arrival we were welcomed by the lovely & friendly reception staff who explained what would happen & showed us the beauty treatments we could have, then we were shown where everything was & got changed into our robes, we relaxed for a while then our beauty therapists came down to collect us for our treatments who were lovely girls very polite & looked after us perfectly throughout our treatments asking if we were ok, nothing was to much trouble.after our treatments we had a lovely lunch which we booked on arrival then more relaxing in the sauna, steam room & jacuzzi.it was a perfect day & would most definately go again & woul have no qualms reccomending this to anyone else many thanks to all concerned �

Wow! So yesterday was my Sisters hen do and we loved coming here to celebrate it. The staff were all lovely and bubbly. They all made us feel very welcome. On arrival a lovely lady came and told us what treatments we wanted and when having these we all loved them.

The pool is lovely. On a hot day like yesterday the changing rooms were really hot and they definitely need air conditioning in there. We all had to do our make up in the front place but that wasn’t a problem for us. I couldn’t recommend this place more and I will definitely be returning.

Thank you everyone who helped us.

Today I have to say has been wonderful for both me and my daughter .the reception staff where both very welcoming .explain our day in full detail .when it came to our treatment the two girl introduced them else's .the treatment was out standing .ask using we was OK though out.I think today spent at imagine with their help will be memorable for me and my daughter .thank you girls and Merry Christmas to you all xx

Lovely relaxing afternoon spent at the spa with my husband. Nice to have a treatment together in the same room. Very welcoming, nice facilities. Would recommend.

Just spent a lovely day at the spa to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. It was great to have our treatment not just at the same time but in the same room! He opted for the sensory massage and I chose the raindrop massage (hope I've remembered the names correctly!) and we really enjoyed our treatments! A delicious lunch was followed by 30 minute facials for us both. We are glad we arrived early as we could then enjoy the steam room, pool and jacuzzi near enough by ourselves. By the afternoon it was quite busy and there was no one to sit which was awkward as my husband suffers from a bad hip. However, we were able to sit in the quietness of the small eating area and so indulged in freshly bakes scones - yummy! We had an amazing day and will definitely return, our only negative comment would be that a number of the loungers seemed to be broken as they couldn't be adjusted and some were rather stained. We appreciate this is tricky with so many people in and out though.

I had a amazing Mum to be massage, facial and scalp massage. It was beautiful and I was very pleased!

I got married to my lovely wife at orton hall, we had guests there that stayed from Friday night till Sunday & we & four guests stayed till Monday, the staff were very friendly they couldn't do enough for us, it is spotless clean & the swimming pool & spa is good, would highly recommend this place to stay at.

She showed us around the spa and was very helpful when we enquired about our treatments and afternoon tea. Our treatments were 60 minutes of body exfoliation and back massage. They were held in the duo room 'Rose'. My therapist Aimee was very friendly and polite. She explained about the treatment in detail and carried it out professionally. Her aftercare was very good too. We booked afternoon tea but unfortunately we didn't like the look of the pastries with cream. Would have preferred a slice of sponge cake. However our Spa Day was an amazing experience and we intend to come back very soon. Thank you to everyone for making our day so special.

Staff were very sweet and the spa itself was beautiful with real stone walls and features. The only thing I would point out which is no reflection on the Spa, is that the pool is the hotel pool and children are allowed in which we were not expecting..

Came for a birthday treat, first went to the mud chamber and it was a great experience definitely do it again! Then had the hot stone massage and Danielle the therapist was very professional gave a good consultation for what oils and pressure I would like, it was amazing felt very relaxed. Then enjoyed the facilities in the spa it was a lovely treat and would recommend !

We attended the spa to use the Serail mud chamber, whilst staying in the hotel after getting Married. We were informed before using the chamber that the shower was quite cold during the treatment (technical fault, so known about before treatment) so we prepared ourselves. Unfortunately the shower was the complete opposite and came out scalding HOT happening twice. We then decided to leave the treatment early as it was too much to bare. We informed the reception of this only to be informed they knew there was a fault with the shower being cold and just thanking us for bringing it to their attention. (Baring in mind the treatment cost £40 pp) quite a wasteful visit as the rest of the facilities were free as we were staying at the hotel. Technically spending £80 on mud! Staff made no attempt to compensate the poor service. Quite disappointing customer service overall.



Ps. Also a resident mouse running around the poolside loungers. (Might want to get that looked at)

Had a 1 hr manicure yesterday with a friend which was lovely and relaxing however the choice of nail colours was very limited, the shelves clearly only half full and very garish colours! When Ive had manicures before Ive had hundreds of colours and tones to choose from. The nails also weren't painted until the last five minutes and no time for them to dry. Staff had to assist us paying to get our purses and keys out of bags so we didn't smudge the nails, and we both smudged them within half an hour getting into car and going about normal routine. Time should be provided for drying nails/heat lamps used to assist. The manicure unfortunately hasn't left a nice manicured painted nail.

Couldn't fault the hot stone massage I received. I do think however that the changing room could do with being re thought out. I think maybe there should be private changing areas available, as children are using the facilities also. It doesn't make for a comfortable change when children are coming in and out of the changing room, while you're in the middle of changing, and I'm sure it's the last thing children need to be seeing of strangers in such a confined space. I noticed also the hand rail into the pool was quite loose, so not great for health & safety issues.

Me and my friend went on the 05\09\2016. For a full day spa for our birthdays. Started off really well full body and full facial was very relaxing, room was not that clean floor had crumbs under the bed were we was facing. But after that it went down hill. No staff asked us if everything was OK. Very wet around pool not ideal for disabled people. The staff only came to us when they was ready for treatment and when lunch was ready they didn't tell us where we had to go. Robes was very hard on our skin. Went for a pedicure but it don't seem like we had one as still got very hard skin so had to come home and re do them. We could not go back in the pool as there was kids jumping around and splashing around. No one old us where to put robes or towels when we had finished with them. It was not wont the money that we paid very disappointing

We were informed before using the chamber that the shower was quite cold during the treatment (technical fault, so known about before treatment) so we prepared ourselves. Unfortunately the shower was the complete opposite and came out scalding HOT happening twice. We then decided to leave the treatment early as it was too much to bare. We informed the reception of this only to be informed they knew there was a fault with the shower being cold and just thanking us for bringing it to their attention. (Baring in mind the treatment cost £40 pp) quite a wasteful visit as the rest of the facilities were free as we were staying at the hotel. Technically spending £80 on mud! Staff made no attempt to compensate the poor service. Quite disappointing customer service overall.



Ps. Also a resident mouse running around the poolside loungers. (Might want to get that looked at)

Had a 1 hr manicure yesterday with a friend which was lovely and relaxing however the choice of nail colours was very limited, the shelves clearly only half full and very garish colours! When Ive had manicures before Ive had hundreds of colours and tones to choose from. The nails also weren't painted until the last five minutes and no time for them to dry. Staff had to assist us paying to get our purses and keys out of bags so we didn't smudge the nails, and we both smudged them within half an hour getting into car and going about normal routine. Time should be provided for drying nails/heat lamps used to assist. The manicure unfortunately hasn't left a nice manicured painted nail.

Couldn't fault the hot stone massage I received. I do think however that the changing room could do with being re thought out. I think maybe there should be private changing areas available, as children are using the facilities also. It doesn't make for a comfortable change when children are coming in and out of the changing room, while you're in the middle of changing, and I'm sure it's the last thing children need to be seeing of strangers in such a confined space. I noticed also the hand rail into the pool was quite loose, so not great for health & safety issues.

Started off really well full body and full facial was very relaxing, room was not that clean floor had crumbs under the bed were we was facing. But after that it went down hill. No staff asked us if everything was OK. Very wet around pool not ideal for disabled people. The staff only came to us when they was ready for treatment and when lunch was ready they didn't tell us where we had to go. Robes was very hard on our skin. Went for a pedicure but it don't seem like we had one as still got very hard skin so had to come home and re do them. We could not go back in the pool as there was kids jumping around and splashing around. No one old us where to put robes or towels when we had finished with them. It was not wont the money that we paid very disappointing

Yesterday ( 21st april) i was lucky enough to go to the imagine health spa at orton hall peterborough, it was a lovely mothers day gift from my daughter.on arrival we were welcomed by the lovely & friendly reception staff who explained what would happen & showed us the beauty treatments we could have, then we were shown where everything was & got changed into our robes, we relaxed for a while then our beauty therapists came down to collect us for our treatments who were lovely girls very polite & looked after us perfectly throughout our treatments asking if we were ok, nothing was to much trouble.after our treatments we had a lovely lunch which we booked on arrival then more relaxing in the sauna, steam room & jacuzzi.it was a perfect day & would most definately go again & woul have no qualms reccomending this to anyone else many thanks to all concerned �

Wow! So yesterday was my Sisters hen do and we loved coming here to celebrate it. The staff were all lovely and bubbly. They all made us feel very welcome. On arrival a lovely lady came and told us what treatments we wanted and when having these we all loved them.

The pool is lovely. On a hot day like yesterday the changing rooms were really hot and they definitely need air conditioning in there. We all had to do our make up in the front place but that wasn’t a problem for us. I couldn’t recommend this place more and I will definitely be returning.

Today I have to say has been wonderful for both me and my daughter .the reception staff where both very welcoming .explain our day in full detail .when it came to our treatment the two girl introduced them else's .the treatment was out standing .ask using we was OK though out.I think today spent at imagine with their help will be memorable for me and my daughter .thank you girls and Merry Christmas to you all xx

Lovely relaxing afternoon spent at the spa with my husband. Nice to have a treatment together in the same room. Very welcoming, nice facilities. Would recommend.

Just spent a lovely day at the spa to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. It was great to have our treatment not just at the same time but in the same room! He opted for the sensory massage and I chose the raindrop massage (hope I've remembered the names correctly!) and we really enjoyed our treatments! A delicious lunch was followed by 30 minute facials for us both. We are glad we arrived early as we could then enjoy the steam room, pool and jacuzzi near enough by ourselves. By the afternoon it was quite busy and there was no one to sit which was awkward as my husband suffers from a bad hip. However, we were able to sit in the quietness of the small eating area and so indulged in freshly bakes scones - yummy! We had an amazing day and will definitely return, our only negative comment would be that a number of the loungers seemed to be broken as they couldn't be adjusted and some were rather stained. We appreciate this is tricky with so many people in and out though.

I had a amazing Mum to be massage, facial and scalp massage. It was beautiful and I was very pleased!

I got married to my lovely wife at orton hall, we had guests there that stayed from Friday night till Sunday & we & four guests stayed till Monday, the staff were very friendly they couldn't do enough for us, it is spotless clean & the swimming pool & spa is good, would highly recommend this place to stay at.

Came to you today with my hubby for his birthday treat and we really enjoyed it. We both had a facial and was lovely. Very friendly staff very relaxing atmosphere very chilled out when we left. Thank u.

Arranged to meet my cousin at this spa as we have been before. We received a warm and friendly welcome from Stacey. She showed us around the spa and was very helpful when we enquired about our treatments and afternoon tea. Our treatments were 60 minutes of body exfoliation and back massage. They were held in the duo room 'Rose'. My therapist Aimee was very friendly and polite. She explained about the treatment in detail and carried it out professionally. Her aftercare was very good too. We booked afternoon tea but unfortunately we didn't like the look of the pastries with cream. Would have preferred a slice of sponge cake. However our Spa Day was an amazing experience and we intend to come back very soon. Thank you to everyone for making our day so special.

Absolutely amazing, first time we had been and we both thoroughly enjoyed it and was made to feel very welcome. My treatment was lovely and the lady doing my treatment was very good indeed and very professional �

The service was brilliant. Invasion however way too hot and no where out of the sun to lounge. Don't go on a really hot day.

My friend and I had a lovely time. Had a package of two treatments including a body scrub and a choice of massages of which we chose the hot stone option. Was great value for money. Staff were very sweet and the spa itself was beautiful with real stone walls and features. The only thing I would point out which is no reflection on the Spa, is that the pool is the hotel pool and children are allowed in which we were not expecting..

Came for a birthday treat, first went to the mud chamber and it was a great experience definitely do it again! Then had the hot stone massage and Danielle the therapist was very professional gave a good consultation for what oils and pressure I would like, it was amazing felt very relaxed.
