Brush the dust off your Lederhosen, Oktoberfest is back!
Join us for Ipswich’s very own Oktoberfest in the Town Hall for an evening of Bavarian celebration. Enjoy authentic Bavarian food and beer accompanied by foot stomping, thigh slapping music with The Oompah Band (as featured on Channel 4’s ‘So Graham Norton’). For a truly immersive Oktoberfest evening, why not don a traditional Bavarian outfit – lederhosen is encouraged!
Tickets include German speciality food and a pint... of beer. VIP tickets include priority seating and table service. A regular bar will be in service throughout the evening and will also feature speciality German beers.
The Oompah Band is much more than just a band. With their stylish Bavarian sound, this 4 piece band will be bringing a ‘Bierkeller’ atmosphere to Ipswich for one night only! You’ll be kept entertained throughout the evening singing the Bavarian Drinking Song, learning to ‘seat sway’, dancing the polka, playing team games, singing along to old favourites and much, much more.
Food will be available from arrival based on a voucher scheme.Tickets:
Tickets are now available and selling fast!
Trestle Tables £18.00 per person VIP Tables £29.00 per person (A booking fee of £1.50 is included in these prices)
This is an 18 years + event and we will be operating Challenge 25.

We had our wedding reception here and it was truely delightful. The staff gave a 5* service at all times. They were friendly and helpful and really did all they could to make our day special. The venue was great and we really made it our own. Would defiantly recommend!!

User

We had a lovely evening and the staff are excellent, thank you❤️❤️❤️

We had a fabulous time at the Gin Festival last night. The hosts were very friendly and passionate about their products. There was no hard sell. The staff at the revenue were very friendly and efficient. Can't wait for the next one 🍸

Had a great evening at the Gin festival. Once we knew the system, everything was fine. Tried some lovely gins and some different mixers. A good evening

User

Great time at Gin Festival on Sunday. Lovely venue with the talks about different gins in a separate room upstairs. Main event in the beautiful grand hall so lots of space! Enough staff and plenty of different gins. No hard selling. Staff were informative and friendly. If I was to say anything it would be to lay out more seating! Thanks to all. We will definitely go again!

Brilliant event. Gin festival. Well organised. Great opportunity to experience lots of different gins in a fun environment. Magic tricks and great entertainment.

Went there last night to watch Bay city Rollers. Was a good venue lovely old historic building central in town .

User

Went and saw Abbamania last night it was brilliant.

Great time at the Gin Festival on Saturday night. However too many people there and not enough staff. Huge queues at most of the bars. Not enough seating and it was really hot. As someone pointed out, it would have been a nightmare had an evacuation came about.

User

Went to show with 91yo mum, both mobility impaired. What a farce to get to main auditorium!! In main door, up 6-8 steps then down another 4-5 steps before getting to lift (had to be escorted by staff as thru locked doors). Told could have used wheelchair lift but would have to walk round outside of building to Waitrose entrance for that. When sat, staff member came and said if needed toilet to find her and she would take us to disabled facility, showed us where to go at end of show for lift down to Waitrose entrance and exit.

At interval, lady sat next to us wanted to go to bar with her husband but, being on 2 sticks herself, could not do stairs and was told no lift to bar area level so he had to go get drinks and bring them back to her.

At end of brilliant show we went to lift and were taken down to ground level and then had to walk as best we could round to Arcade Street to be picked up; a long way when on sticks and in pain.

As a Council building, which has not long been refurbished by look of it, why has disabled access been made so difficult? My mother and I will not consider coming to another event/show there sadly, a shame as there are things coming that we might have attended. Very disappointed and upset that this is so badly designed.

Staff were extremely helpful throughout though which did help a bit.

Not the best venue for gin festival , London Tobacco doc and Norwich corn exchange where far better

User

Gin festival was a great idea needed policing at the bars though. Ran out of a gin I wanted to try ☹️
