About Italicar

Specialists in Italian cars including Alfa Romeos, Fiats and Lancias.

Italicar Description

italicar is a small family business, run by brothers Luke and Kirk Miller.

Our father managed a successful Alfa Romeo and Fiat main dealership throughout the 80s and 90s, so neither of us grew up wanting to be train-drivers! With the soundtrack of our early years provided by a symphony of Lampredi twin-cams and Busso V6s, we were powerless to escape the obsession. Our family car history reads like a Top Trumps' pack of Italian automotive history; Alfa Romeo GTAs, 155s, Spiders, GTVs, Fiat 124s, Coupes, Barchettas, a Lancia Delta HF integrale and many, many more. Even if we weren't working with Italian cars for a living, we'd still be buying them!

If you take a minute or two to check out our page here on Facebook, we're sure that you'll soon get an idea of what it is we do here at italicar!

That's the first week of our special 29% Off promotion running throughout February over and, boy, what a busy one it was!
As always there was everything from 40+ year old classics to nearly new models to get our teeth stuck into. The owner of the Giulietta had received a quote to repair their heater, which we managed to beat by over £1000!
... We're still taking bookings so don't miss out on this great offer, just fill in the form at the page linked above - but be quick!

In the workshop today, arguably the most successful model to ever bear Carlo Abarth's name?
That's quite a bold claim, we know, given just how many great performance cars the Scorpione badge has adorned, but few have sold as well or delivered as many driving thrills as the 595.

We've posted an italicar Buyer's Guide over on our blog for one of our very favourite models, the Alfa Romeo GT. We cover the surprising backstory of how it came to be, detail the numerous special editions and give you an idea on what to look out for when buying your own.
Give it a read and if there's any other Italian cars you'd like to see us do a Buyer's Guide for, comment below 👇

Following our blog post on Alfa Romeo's V6 "Busso" last week, this time around we concentrate on another favourite Italian engine of ours; Fiat's twin-cam. Designed by Aurelio Lampredi, it powered Fiat's rise for over 30 years. It also boasts more WRC titles under its belt than any other engine in history.
Click the link above to read our love-letter to the engine we've probably worked on more than any other.

Our latest video is up on our YouTube channel - a look back at the GTV Cup Serie Limitata, a rare special edition we have a lot of history with.
We take a look at its racing pedigree, what sets the road going versions apart from just about any other 916 and what you should look out for if you're buying your own Cup.
If you enjoy it, please feel free to subscribe! We plan on regularly updating our YouTube presence in 2020, so let us know if there's anything in particular you'...d like to see us covering.

There's a new blog over on our website - A 6-Potted History of the Busso.
In it we trace the history of the much-loved Alfa Romeo V6 engine, affectionately nicknamed the "Busso" after its genius creator. From the original 2.5 12V, carb-fed iteration in the awkward Alfa 6 through to the tantalising 3.5 24V, 300bhp monster in the 156 GTAm prototype, we cover it all.

Well, that's 2019 pretty much done for us here at italicar. It's been another brilliant year filled with amazing Fiats, Alfa Romeos and Lancias (with the odd Maserati thrown in for good measure) and, more importantly, we met even more great owners and enthusiasts.
We would all just like to say thank your for your incredible support, we hope you have a fantastic Christmas and a very happy New Year!
