Seven months ago, at size 14, I couldn’t squat, couldn’t do sit ups and press ups were a pipe dream, I simply couldn’t hold my own weight!



Very down hearted and upset about my lack of physical fitness and size, I contacted Jaime about her personal training programme. We met for a consultation. Jaime wanted to know about me, what my goals were and she spoke about how she worked. There was no fancy sales pitch, no big unachievable promises, she just assured me that if I came on board and did what she asked i could quickly be in a very different place.



I attended a PT session once a week, one of Jaime’s classes once a week (more these days because I love them!) and she devised a home workout for me which I did two or three times a week. Jaime also helped me find a new way to eat (yes, it can be done with 3 hungry children and a hungry husband!)... it’s all part of her exceptional service. Jaime has been a constant source of support and motivation, face to face, via text and email she’s never left me to just get on with it. She’s been there every step of the way.



Seven months on, I have lost a total of 10kg, my body fat percentage has gone from 33.3% down to 21.3% (well below the national average), I have lost 11cm from my hips, 11cm from my waist and 5cm from my thighs. My ever embarrassing bingo wings have been replaced by lean, defined upper arms which I can’t wait to show off in the summer!



A week ago, I completed a 12k assault course (Born Survivor - not for the faint hearted) in 2hrs 10 mins. Six months ago I wouldn’t have even entertained the idea of attempting such a challenge.



I am in better shape now than I was in my 20’s, I feel fit, I feel strong... I feel proud of myself (which is a lovely feeling!) but when a very self deprecating Jaime tells me I did it all myself and that it’s all my own work, i know in my heart I couldn’t have done it without her. I simply cannot speak highly enough of her, Jaime is the whole package... move over Jessie Pavelka, Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels, Jaime Hibbert is delivering ‘Biggest Loser’ results in Stoke on Trent!

Personal training with Jaime is just that, personal. She tailors your session to suit your capability and makes it fun. But more importantly- IT WORKS! I used to find the idea of getting back into exercise and the gym daunting and intimidating (I'm not a small lady). But after working with Jaime for a few months I have even been known to do my 'happy dance' across the gym for all to see after a good session! All of your small wins are important and Jaime supports and builds your confidence throughout your journey. Not only that but you will have the opportunity to join a wider community of friendly supportive people who are all on their own fitness journeys. I have a tendency to ramble so bear with me.... So why Jamie Hibbert? As someone who has had memberships literally EVERYWHERE I feel that I am in a qualified position to make this review after having membership with Jaime since April 2016.



I initially contacted Jaime for personal training in March 2016 and arranged my date to go and have a chat and see how it all works. I was beyond mortified when I was greeted by an overly smiley Matt Smith who took me down for a chat and weighed me and did my stats. We laugh about it now, but I was ready to bail at that point because I couldn’t possibly have PT with a ‘boy’ having to weigh me!! After asking Jaime to move me to a lady (So sorry Matthew!!) and being convinced to give it a whirl I can honestly say that I have never looked back. 1st session of PT nearly killed me but I enjoyed it and I had such a laugh with Matt that it didn’t really feel like I was working my ass off (which I was!) I couldn’t recommend him highly enough he is a wonderful guy who makes you work super hard and makes you challenge your own fitness week in week out. I definitely think that having such a personable PT that you can laugh with whilst he inflicts pain has been the thing that has kept me going even when I have had some pretty epic wobbles! He is an absolute diamond and I couldn't have done any of this without him.



I started with once a week PT sessions and then started attending some classes as PAYG before joining as a member. I remember my first class not having a clue what I needed to do and some of the members were really kind and got me all set up for GRIT strength before Matt Payne came and introduced himself and shook my hand! For some reason that stays with me, not sure why though!



The gym coaches are all first class. They focus on technique to make sure you are doing the movements correctly to maximise results and to minimise the risk of injury. They have the ability to really inspire you and push you to work to your limit and give you options along the way to ensure that you can stay in the workout if you are struggling or if you want to make it lower impact. For quite a few classes you are blessed to have two trainers, sometimes even more and they have a lovely relationship where they bounce off each other which I love and it gives you a boost from all their positivity. I have done Les Mills classes before at my old gyms and it was just a case of going through the motions. It’s not remotely like that here! You work as hard as you physically can and build it up week by week, it never gets easy, you just get fitter, faster, stronger and push that much harder each session.





We are all here for different reasons but we have a shared vision that is moulded and influenced by all of the trainers and the members who spur you on. My reasons were to do something positive for me after a year of significant health issues, some weight related some not affected by my weight, but I decided to take control over the things that I can change. My primary goal was to get into a healthy BMI, but now that I have surpassed that I have given myself lots of other fitness and strength goals that I wouldn’t have given any thought to 12 months ago.



If you are new, people meet you with a smile strike up conversation with you. You aren’t just a number there like you are at other gyms; people know your name and similarly you will quickly know the others there. If you don’t make class then it is noticed and you are missed. The gym community and team spirit is phenomenal and nothing like anything I have ever experienced before at a gym. I have met some amazing people and without intending to sound clichéd it is a ‘gym family’ which is a phrase that gets bounded around quite a lot but that is the best way to describe it. We are all on the same journey and the coaches and members support and encourage you all the way



I go there a lot really. I have PT once or twice a week and do somewhere between 9 and 12 classes a week but I absolutely love everything about it and have found a love for exercising that I never knew that I had before! I'm 4 dress sizes down on my little journey and I'm more than happy with that! If you are thinking of joining try it, it will change your life, just give it time! Go and meet the team, see what they can offer you and you won’t look back! Sometimes you just need to make the decision to try, the coaches will take care of the rest and it will all fall into place. Try all of the classes and if you hate something at first don’t write it off, just revisit it a few months down the line like I did with GRIT cardio. It’s almost tolerable amounts of pain now!



I wish that I’d have started this journey sooner but everything happens for a reason and this was the right time for me. Thank you so much guys, I will be forever indebted to you all, you rock xxx

I don't normally leave reviews but in this instance I'll make an exception.

I first met Jaime about 15 months ago, I was overweight, unfit and in a low place in relation to how I looked.

I signed up for one of her bootcamps and was very nervous about starting a journey to get in shape and change my lifestyle, I knew no one in her class however was made to feel welcome from the start. It turned out there were a lot of people who'd been where I was and knew what if felt like.

After a few weeks of bootcamp I started one on one training with Jaime, I've had personal trainers before but the routine was always the same and I soon lost interest, however Jaime keeps things fresh, every session is different from the last and therefore I don't get bored.

I (very reluctantly) am to hang up my trainers for a while though, the reason.....I'm 38 weeks pregnant and have continued to train with Jaime throughout, she has adapted my training program both in PT sessions and in her classes to enable me to continue to train.

15 months is all it took for me to go from a gym novice to someone who has already scheduled in their appointment after the baby. Thank you Jaime for your support, encouragement and motivation.
