Thanks to Lloyd Jackson at Deluxe Metalworks for lending me a nice straight floorpan today for assisting me panel up the 67 bug I’ve got in for some serious bodywork.

The 250GT PF Ferrari I did the bodywork restoration on last year is now finally fully rebuilt into this awesome looking machine. Bodywork and Fabrication done by me and paint and prep done by Spikes Vintage Restorations, I enjoyed the collaboration looking forward to the next one.

More work on the 1303 bodyshell restoration it’s moved on a bit since I posted last. It’s had a new o/s/f 1/4 fitted its quite an involving job due to the amount of attachments and strength required due to the strut front suspension. Also a good used screen scuttle panel installed and a vented front panel as this bug is going with air con. Bulkhead repair panel modified to later spec and installed along with a new o/s heater channel. I have also installed a new OE n/s/r 1/4 panel and bulgy rear panel. I’ve fabricated a new lower front of the bonnet section and welded it in and filled in the o/s/f bumper mount as this wing had the later triangle cut out for the impact bumpers. Just a few more bits and this will be ready for a Spikes Vintage Mile deep paint job.

A few pics of a little job I’ve got on and luckily Spikes Vintage Restorations kindly epoxy various parts for me part way through jobs to help keep the rust at bay. Cheers Andy 👍

This is the 1303 bodyshell resto im doing for Spikes Vintage Restorations prior to them carrying out a show standard “Mile Deep” paint job. It actually is a good base to work from as 1303’a tend to rot pretty bad around the front body mounts and just about every where else. I’ve posted some pics of progress starting with the heater channel on the n/s and associated attachment places, included are some panels I’ve fabricated etc etc It’s going to be a cracking car when completed.

Had a few jobs go through this last month, a bit of mechanical work on the Mexibug, love how that came out after it’s lowering and suspension sorting. 8x16’s on the rear and 7x16’s on the front under stock arches, took a bit of jiggery pokery but drives and handles real nice and comfy. It had a quick lick of paint #offthegun by Andy at Spikes an old Skool ducktail spoiler from Marco de Waal to finish off with the BSR logo to finish off. The road test was a 600 odd mile drive to Spa to the European Bug In 👍

Some more pics of Jamie’s Vert now in one piece with carb windows going in, all the Vert pillar strengtheners repaired and welded in. All epoxied in behind to stop the dreaded rust returning.

Real good day at the Cool Flo, Spikes Vintage Classic Collective today. Real good collection of cars across the board. Met some great car guys and a couple of hundred miles done in the 55 Chevy. Looking forward to next year. I took some pictures which I’m going to try and post here.

fantastic fabrication work.... and a very good eye for detail.

Took my mk2 golf in to see jb after removing my engine to reveille some shocking previous repair work on the chassis legs.. John managed to locate me a new panel and repair the car to better than original standard as well as welding up near on 70 factory holes in the bulkhead and chassis legs as I was wanting a custom engine bay... His knowledge and advice was much appreciated... I would never need to go anywhere else for fabrication work.. Highly recommend.
