I'd just like to say a big thank you to all our Yarmouth customers who came over to Lowestoft to see us over the weekend and those who collected. Glad you all liked the new décor !! Our new menus ( yep more than one ) will be released shortly.

So....after 21 years 9 months and 18 days .Jesters diner in Yarmouth has closed its doors for the last time .I would like to thank all our customers past and present for making Jesters the local landmark it has become .We have not taken this decision lightly but due to staffing issues it's beyond our control .Our lowestoft jesters @ Normanston park is open as usual and only 9 mins away from the Yarmouth restaurant. Went in here after reading up about it and was not disappointed! Ordered the donut burger with some fries and didn't have to wait long for the food at all, it was delicious! The burger was homemade, tasty and juicy with that real beef flavour! The fries were lovely also with the right texture and crunch! Will be recommending to other people and will come back when I'm in the area again for sure!! Thanks for a lovely meal.

Amazing meal tonight! My partner loved his roast chicken blowout; and my minced beef hotpot was the nicest meal I’ve had in ages! Definitely best meal I’ve ever had delivered! ���

We regularly order from Jesters for delivery, it isn't without its problems (long delivery wait) but the food is always good and the staff are fantastic.

We went into the restaurant yesterday, and it was a really good meal. Massive portions, fresh ingredients, good service. Keep up the good work Jesters! 🖒

My friend and I have been to jesters a few times to eat in the restaurant in Lowestoft. Both times we loved the food! Great value for money and really tasty. Customer service could have been a lot better, we was told by the waitress that they couldn't warm our cake up in the micro wave as they was too busy with takeaway orders in the kitchen even tho we was the only customers in the actual restaurant!! Hate to think what it would be like if there was more than just us two in the restaurant!! But other than a debatable front of house service, the food was lovely and we didn't have to wait long for it at all.

I've been going to jesters for a many years, normally no issue and I love the food they serve. Went there yesterday and ended up waiting over half an hour for food, with no warning it would be so long. With trying to amuse 2 children, a bit of notice would've been nice.

It's a shame to have such a disappointing experience from somewhere that is generally capable of much better. The wait time from ordering to receiving our food was well over 2 hours, which was an hour later than the delivery time provided. The food was very good but we had a portion of cheesy chips missing, the caramel apple pie was not available and the 3 sticky toffee puddings we ordered were sent out as treacle sponges instead. All in all it spoilt an otherwise great evening with friends as we ate far later than planned!

Have used Jesters before but after ordering tonight I very much doubt I will use again.

Ordered grilled Cajun chicken when I asked if I can order an extra chicken breast was told it would be £8.50...........

Was then told that they will not do an extra one!!!!!!! Which has to be a first for a restaurant, then ordered breaded mushrooms to then be told out of stock.....

Extremely dissapointed and it will take a while for us to use Jesters again.

Food arrived after half an hour late meaning a total of an hour and a half wait for food. Delivery driver was apologetic and all was forgiven until I found a hair in my roll. Won't order again. Hour and a half for a roll is silly.

As much as I have always rated the food from jesters the delivery times are rubbish. When you order it says about 50 minutes. After you place order they slap an extra half hour on top of that. I have just received my food two hours later .

ordered my food at 11.05, it finally came at 13.17, hash browns over cooked and soggy, the sausage is smaller than my little finger. not impressed at all

It was so cold it had to be microwaved to resuscitate it!

Chips were in a soggy state.

Was an awful meal.

Waited close to an hour and a half for 2 sandwiches, my philly cheese steak was lacking cheese and had about as much flavour as plain paper, chips were soggy due to condensation from delivery and not one person from there was bothered that it was complete rubbish

Took over an hour and a half to get hear, firstly drinks was incorrect, food was inadequate and was NOT what we ordered. ( sausages the size of my little pinky) Was a huge mistake ordering from hear, and a waste of money and well overpriced for what you get.

And staff was incredibly rude

Took 2.5hrs to arrive, which was ridiculous. We did call after 2hrs to find out where our food was and they said it was about to be delivered. No apology. The food was not warm. The chips were like cardboard. Threw those in the bin as they weren't edible. The Oreo brownie wasn't even intact and cold as well as the treacle pudding. The ice cream was melted so that all went in the bin. For the money you pay I'd rather go anywhere else but here

Terrible food wast of money ordered a stake sub and breakfast as a treat for me and my wife my stake sub came just thrown in the box sub not toasted and soaked due to the salad still being wet wife's breakfast came full of liquid from the mushrooms so everything soaked again worst place I've ever order from will never be ordering again what a disappointment

Ordered two breakfasts yesterday from the Yarmouth branch - 28/01/17 - one diy and one fat boy and was told there would be a wait of over an hour and a half, I explained that was absolutely fine and was given a response like I was being an inconvenience to the lady on the phone, made me feel completely uncomfortable and when reading my order her whole attitude was again as if it was an inconvenience. Food arrived, all hash browns were completely overcooked, I don't know what had been added to the tinned tomatoes but it was a complete salty overload, hair wedged between the toast, sauté potatoes were like they had been sitting all day - dry/stale and just generally an awful experience. The bill came to £23 and that was for two extremely poor breakfasts. The only positives I have of the whole experience yesterday was the sausages and the delivery lady; absolutely lovely woman. I don't make a habit of complaining but i wouldn't want anyone else to order and receive what I did yesterday and waste their money. Phone staff need training in customer relations. *****update***** owner Martin was lovely, sent me a message and arranges his sincerest apologies assuring me words will be had with members in question regarding my complaint and a full refund was granted. Thank you very much!

Absolutely f all there 6 slices of dry ass meat, reheated vile roast potatoes, two tiny pots of gravy two Yorkshire’s two stuffing bAlls two sausages cost me £21! I rang to see where it was at 1.30 (ordered at 12:13) was told it left 5 minutes ago!! Got in contact with just eat who offered money off code!! Heaters have offered absolutely nothing!!!!! I’m absolutely disgusted wil NEVER order again!! The delivery driver wasn’t even bothered about how late my food was!! Shit service shit food shitty prices!!!

Ordered my food at 10am this morning im still waiting on my food have tried calling them but cant get through as the line is always engaged. Not happy as we have to go to work soon

Ordered my food 18.41 called the restaurant 20.15 to ask where my order was the rude lady told me my order hadn't left the restaurant yet because they were waiting for a car and that it would be another 25 mins told her this was ridiculous 2 hours for a take away delivery on a Tuesday evening, she said you can cancel if you like poor attitude really I feel for Martin the owner

Took 2.5hrs to arrive, which was ridiculous. We did call after 2hrs to find out where our food was and they said it was about to be delivered. No apology. The food was not warm. The chips were like cardboard. Threw those in the bin as they weren't edible. The Oreo brownie wasn't even intact and cold as well as the treacle pudding. The ice cream was melted so that all went in the bin. For the money you pay I'd rather go anywhere else but here

Terrible food wast of money ordered a stake sub and breakfast as a treat for me and my wife my stake sub came just thrown in the box sub not toasted and soaked due to the salad still being wet wife's breakfast came full of liquid from the mushrooms so everything soaked again worst place I've ever order from will never be ordering again what a disappointment

Ordered two breakfasts yesterday from the Yarmouth branch - 28/01/17 - one diy and one fat boy and was told there would be a wait of over an hour and a half, I explained that was absolutely fine and was given a response like I was being an inconvenience to the lady on the phone, made me feel completely uncomfortable and when reading my order her whole attitude was again as if it was an inconvenience. Food arrived, all hash browns were completely overcooked, I don't know what had been added to the tinned tomatoes but it was a complete salty overload, hair wedged between the toast, sauté potatoes were like they had been sitting all day - dry/stale and just generally an awful experience. The bill came to £23 and that was for two extremely poor breakfasts. The only positives I have of the whole experience yesterday was the sausages and the delivery lady; absolutely lovely woman. I don't make a habit of complaining but i wouldn't want anyone else to order and receive what I did yesterday and waste their money. Phone staff need training in customer relations. *****update***** owner Martin was lovely, sent me a message and arranges his sincerest apologies assuring me words will be had with members in question regarding my complaint and a full refund was granted. Thank you very much!

Ordered on just eat the sharers roast, received it 1 hour & 45 minutes after I ordered it!! Absolutely f all there 6 slices of dry ass meat, reheated vile roast potatoes, two tiny pots of gravy two Yorkshire’s two stuffing bAlls two sausages cost me £21! I rang to see where it was at 1.30 (ordered at 12:13) was told it left 5 minutes ago!! Got in contact with just eat who offered money off code!! Heaters have offered absolutely nothing!!!!! I’m absolutely disgusted wil NEVER order again!! The delivery driver wasn’t even bothered about how late my food was!! Shit service shit food shitty prices!!!

Ordered my food at 10am this morning im still waiting on my food have tried calling them but cant get through as the line is always engaged. Not happy as we have to go to work soon
