Something for those camping at Ferry Meadows

What a great place to chill & relax on the decking jutting out over the lake. We arrived just as the Lakeside cafe was closing gasping for a cuppa but they had just stoped serving hot drinks. The owner overheard and nodded that it was ok....we turned to say thankyou & commented that we were grateful as it was my birthday. He then said, " Oh in that case give them each a cherry scone with clotted cream & strawberry jam for them both!!....free of charge! What a gentleman & a brilliant business man as he has secured 2 very happy ladies that will be coming again for a beer in the beautiful sunshine!!. Thankyou once again ���

We had our wedding reception at Lakeside and it was wonderful. Raj and Louise did a perfect job and everything was as we wanted. We received so many compliments on our choice of venue and the food. Everything was delicious & served by lovely friendly staff. Thank you for all your help in the lead up to the day and on the night itself.

We had our vow renewal ceremony and party here and it was superb. Staff were wonderful and the venue was great.

Thank you Lakeside staff for looking after my vegan requirements this morning � the staff were extremely helpful and the food was lovely, it was a lot better than some pub restaurants that I've eaten in recently!

Staff always friendly, great coffee and delicious food. All with the backdrop of the view of the lake. You can eat in or on a lovely day eat outside on the terrace. If you have a dog there is a covered conservatory area with a log fire that you can eat in when the weather turns colder.

Nice staff, offering to carry ny tray to my table as they saw I have mobility impairment. Indoor area with a real log fire for dogs and their parents on cold days. Lemon drizzle cake is yummy. Loyalty card scheme for free drink. Fully accessible with ramps and accessible toilet. Only issue is there is never any loo roll in the accessible toilet when I go on weekends, even though I reported this before it hasn't improved.

Lovely welcoming staff,great coffee,the food looks delicious and served well.I am there most days just after 0800 and the views across the park and lakes are superb.

It is brilliant staff are lovely, a d we can still go there when the weather is cold or wet thanks to their lovely friendly inside area specially for your dog .

I love that when I walk in the staff feel warm and attentive. There may be a time to wait and the food a little longer but you know what, I would rather get fresh cooked food with a small time to enjoy a chat and time with my friends.



The views outside the windows of a morning when the sun is rising on a winters day to a great latte in the afternoon.



I love the lot of it and can't sing their praises enough. I have been a regular visitor for many years and it is done up and kike I said the views can not be beaten.

One of the lads very kindly helped me unload the car yesterday morning, and Louise and the girls last night made the place look fantastic!

And the same lad helped me reload the car this morning which was much appreciated.

Had my 10th Wedding Anniversary Party last night and all the staff were amazing, they decorated the place beautifully and made it an amazing and memorable evening I will never forget. Cannot thank them enough for their amazing service xxxxx

Great planning and organisation for our wedding. Raj, Louise and all members of staff have been helpul and kind, patient and enthusiastic during the months in preparation to the event and on the day. Everything was setup as requested. Guests and brides had a great time! Thank you once again.

Great place, lovely cafe serving food and drink. Loads for the kids to see and do!! 👍

what a great breakfast I had while on my nene way walk I could see the building in the distance and decided to head there lucky I did because it was worth the extra walk to get there . Service was great and didn't have to wait long I paid 8.95 plus 2.00 for a filter coffee 10.95 in total so you can imagine, it's going to have to be good for that price lucky for me it was . I left a happy walker
