When you mention you're a musician it's usually greeted with interest but then the longer you know a musician people soon realise that there's no sick pay, pension scheme or savings unless you're really lucky and then you get asked 'so, when are you getting a 'real' job?
My currently projects include:
Gospel and Soul singing workshops. Harmonies harmonies and more harmonies. Give me a round, try some beatboxing (well, let's call it mouth percussion, I'm not sure I can say I can beatboxing really), improvinsing in a large group? The Matt Hodges Band. . . the ultimate wedding band, if you like Jazz and Soul then The Matt Hodges Band is great and what's even better is we have a fantastic line-up of musicians so we are able to mix in some fantastic early Soul and Funk tunes in there too with Simon jarett on Sax (Speedometer) Owen Morgan on Bass ( Lost Levels) and Cath Evans on drums (Crab Cakes).

London Contemporary Voices. A fantastic choir that I've had the pleasure of belonging too, we've done some fantastic projects including a Flashmob on ITV's Tricked show, performed at The V& A, The South Bank Centre and the choir have just appeared on The Snowman and The Snow dog soundtrack too!

Teaching! I've been teaching vocals and studying the voice for several years now. Anybody can sing and enjoy singing their favourite song but the human voice is fascinating and there's always something new to learn ( and practice).

Workshops! I love harmonies, particularly gospel and getting a group of people together and spending the day learning to sing songs in harmony is magical. I have worked for a few organisations now including Sing for Pleasure, SingUp! , The Garage, Dunston Hall and Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.

Session Singing: From jingles to duets, backing vocals and demos for song publishers, session singing is great fun and i've worked with some inspiring artists.
