You must have previous experience in hospitality and restaurants, be cheerful, smartly presented and above all, have a passion for customer service and teamwork.
We are open 7 days a week and our hours are from 11.30am - 10.30pm so the ideal candidate must be flexible on working to a rota including weekends.

You guys have absolutely smashed it. We rarely get the chance to go out and chose this place tonight. Been looking forward to it opening for a while. The food was gorgeous, honestly the best Indian food we have had. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Decor and design is just perfect. Not often somewhere gets every detail right �

What a fabulous place very unique.. a wonderful addition to the marine... food was delicious . Lots of choice for vegetarians ...service was very good and the staff friendly throughout ...we will defiantly be back for more .

We were really impressed all round. The food was amazing, lots of different flavours and so tasty. The staff were great and made sure we were well looked after. The decor and layout is spot on. We will be back to try some more of the menu!

The restaurant is in a beautiful setting on the edge of the marina, and contains brilliant decor.



We ordered four items off the street food menu, with the lamb chops being a particular highlight, and the Tariwala chicken curry which was unlike any curry I have previously had, full of flavour!



If you want something different from the traditional curry house, then this is the place for you!

Tremendous. Comfortably the best Indian food I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating, anywhere in the world. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and very reasonably priced. Fresh, clean and modern setting with fantastic views over the water.



Not just your average curry house by a long shot; definitely give it a go. Something for everyone on the menu.



Derby is very lucky to have Lotus.

This place is just want Derby needed! Delicious Indian food, served in a tapas/ street food style in a fabulous location. Food is simply out of this world, not to mention the cocktails and outrageous cakes! Go and see for yourself you will not be disappointed!�

There for Chukundar Ki Tikki and a delicious fresh lemon drink at lunchtime and then back for a late evening Mango Kulfi. All delicious, welcome delightful and service great. A significantly lovely addition to Mercia and we'll be back again and again.

Sue, Sheila and I visited last Tuesday early evening. Interesting concept ‘Street food’. All three of us enjoyed the food, the setting and the price(30% off until Friday). We will be returning to try some of the other ‘Indian Tapas’ menu items.

Loved this place. Sitting in the evening sun by the canal eating great food, drinking prosecco...what could be better?!

We tried a few different dishes and all were delicious. We’ll definitely return.

Love this concept, Absolutely beautiful food in a gorgeous setting. Food was freshly prepared with the best ingredients. Cocktails with an Indian twist were delicious. Service was fantastic with very knowledgeable staff. Definitely will become one of our firm favourites to call at. Looking forward to returning

Love love love this place. was there for a quick bite with my family but we were pleasantly treated to a very warm welcome and sat at a table with gorgeous views in a contemporary setting.

The food came in good time and it was so tasty, well presented. The portions are very generous and the price is fair.

This has become my little spot to treat myself.

Just visited this new restaurant for the first time. Absolutely superb. Venue has a lovely atmosphere, a real buzz, completely different concept to the food, which was excellent. Wish them every success with this new venture. I will be back.

I’ve been wanting to check out this place and today we finally went. It didn’t disappoint. Everything that they served us were delicious. I don’t even like mint sauce but it was my favourite amongst the sauce in our starter. We ordered two food each, one from the street food and one from the mains menu and shared it. Because of the portion, you won’t get too full and you get to try more variety of food. I think one order is good for two people to share. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely go back!

Great food! Lovely decor and friendly staff who need time to learn the menu. A couple of times we asked a question about the food and the staff could not answer, had to ask chef and even then came back with an response that didn’t really answer the question.! As a non meat eater I would have liked to know what the ingredients were.

All in all... totally amazing food but more staff training required and less nail polish and false nails.

Fabulous, great venue - lovely and cool on a hot evening. Food was awesome, so flavourful, and the service was spot on. We will definitely be back, this place is highly recommended by me!

Excellent surroundings and the food is superb. Staff are friendly and the menu is a breath of fresh air. I can't understand why more restaurants aren't serving Indian street food, it's delicious.

Decor is on point and the food is de-licious! Such an amazing addition to Derby- there is no other place in the region serving food like this!
