Mayton pet and equine services is a small business created to cater for each individuals specific needs.

Anyone that owns a pet will share the same anxiety when leaving them alone, my aim is to relieve that panic by ensuring only the best care is carried out. At Mayton pet care its a necessity to put your pets requirements as a priority to make the time apart as enjoyable as possible. Therefore I take the time to get to know your pet via a quick "welcome" form so that i can learn what your pet likes and dislikes to ensure they are not negatively affected the experience. (of course on the initial i will bring sausages so we can all make friends! )

Pet sitting

I am fully qualified and experienced to carry out the husbandry of small furries, reptiles, birds, cats and dogs. So if you’re worried about what to do with you “Fur babies” when you go away, worry no more!

Mayton pet services include:

“live in”- the live-in package covers you for a house sitter, dog walker and pet sitter. This package is specifically aimed at dog owners however I can do so for any pet owner. This package is suited for someone who would prefer for their dog to stay within their own house, be walked, fed and treated as if you never went away!

Prices start from £30 pound 24hours.

£30 basic package includes- 1hr walk at discounted price of £10 and house sitting /feeding for £20. This package lasts for 24hrs.

Other “live in” packages are based upon the above price, however is away for long periods of time, price reductions are offered.


Home visits- The home visit package is suited for someone who needs their animals checking on throughout the day but saves you the cost of house sitting! The home visits package is specifically suited for small pet / cat owners. Due to individuals varying needs, prices are quoted on assessment.

An example of a “home visit” package would be a scenario where I visited your pet for the duration of time specified by owner (20 mins + ) once or several times a day dependant on the owners requirements. Price would be based upon time spent with animal.


Small pet holidays- The small pet holiday package is suited for someone who owns an animal that could be easily transported, for example a rabbit. Instead of charging you for home visits I can offer a clean, smoke free, pet free and experienced home for your small pet to come and live at for the duration that you are away. House checks can arranged so you can be rest assured your pet is going to a safe place. I can offer outside or inside accommodation, and I handle as little or as often as you request.

Mayton equine services include- As a freelance groom I can offer an experienced and passionate individual, that is happy to do the odd job or as a more permanent self-employed groom.

If you are a horse owner looking for a person to carry out specific tasks that fit around your lifestyle, please don’t hesitate to contact me, whether it’s when you’re on holiday or just the odd jobs while you’re at work I am happy to accommodate.
