The McAully Flying Group operates a Cessna 172-P, G-MCLY. We exist to provide our members with affordable flying. Based at Little Snoring.
Mcaully Flying Group Description
We are a group of enthusiastic pilots who work together to fly and maintain a very neat Cessna 172-P, G-MCLY.
She came to us in 2007, having had a bare metal respray and interior refurb.
In the last couple of years, the engine was zero timed, and in the summer of 2015 and extensive avionics upgrade was undertaken to ensure her usefulness in the future in an age when traditional nav aids are being withdrawn.
The upgrade included state of the art Garmin GTN-650 GPS /NAV /COM, Garmin GNC255A nav /com, new NAV1 display for the GTN-650, and Garmin GMA-340 audio panel.
She is also fitted with twin altimeters, ADF, DME and Mode S transponder, making her an ideal platform for our members to enjoy a stable platform for IMC training, renewal and use.
Because we operate to give our members affordable flying rather than to make a profit, our rates are very attractive. £82. 50 per tacho hour and £60 is all it costs. We do have a higher hourly rate of £125 per hour and £30 per month for pilots who fly lower hours.
We welcome low hours /fresh PPLs, on condition that they are deemed safe by one of our group instructors.
