Wonderful ! Have just enjoyed a short stay at this beautiful hotel and will not hesitate to book again. The food at dinner and breakfast was excellent. The room was spacious, modern, clean and very comfortable. Everything was great but the thing that really stood out was the service. Every staff member we met was exceptional ! They were courteous, kind and very helpful. All very smartly turned out and clearly able to offer good customer service. This is one hotel that definitely deserves it's 4 stars **** from the AA. Thank you to you all.

We really loved it. The hotel was set in lovely, well kept grounds. Our room was huge we could have had a party in it. We had lovely views from our room. The 3 course meal we had was lovely. We had a great breakfast. It was eat as much as you like. Tasty! We both thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was great . The staff were great. They were polite, helpful and friendly. Nothing was to much trouble. The hotel was clean and tidy. It was a bonus that we had use of the swimming pool and other facilities. There is a golf course near by to. There was a mixture of old and new decor. I suppose the only thing that bugged me was that some guest had parked in appropriately but that was not the fault of the hotel. Maybe it needed a bit more parking near to the reception. We had a great stay. We could have even taken our little one as there was a little park on site to. We would defiantly go there again. Nice little get away. From Davis Family.

Peaceful, clean, great staff. Had a lovely meal with my family and friends on Boxing day, with a little prossecco for me and Shirley. (half a bottle each actually, was lush.) Married there in 2004 was a fantastic day.

Gary and I just had our Wedding at the hotel on the 31st March 2018. We couldn't have asked for more from them right from the day we booked it. They made our day absolutely perfect, even when we had unwanted guests this was dealt with in a very professional way and didn't have any impact on our day at all. All of the staff were so helpful and couldn't do more for us during our stay for both us and our families. Thank you all

We had a voucher for overnight stay and afternoon tea. I am in a wheelchair and unable to walk at all so accessibility was of utmost importance. Although staff were very helpful, transit to the dining room was diverted outside to the conservatory part to avoid three steps up inside. Ok in fine weather but the rest of the year? Food ok, tinned fruit at breakfast disappointing. Wet room and bedroom very good for accessibility. Nuffield health spa facilities fantastic with cool pool, hoist, disabled changing room with shower and toilet, lift to gym, very helpful staff. Hot drink included with pedicure! I would like more dropped kerbs between the parking area and the gardens and pavement for comfort and to save my husband's muscles.

We got married here this weekend in the Marston room. Hannah who looked after us made sure we had everything we needed and checked on us all day to make sure which was great. Our suite we had for our wedding night was just perfection! The room was clean - the only down side was our toilet wasn't flushing properly. We reported to reception on the Friday and they told us it's sorted. Went to use and still not fixed. Was told it would be sorted when we came back in he evening. Wasn't fixed. Apart from that we had an amazing weekend and all members of staff were lovely and helped out as much as they could. Thanks again!

We chose to return here again yesterday having enjoyed a stopover last August & once again we were NOT disappointed. On both occasions the welcome was warm, the check in process efficient, the food delicious, the bar/restaurant service good & the rooms clean & comfortable. On this occasion we requested a move from room 27 as it felt too dark & the wifi connection was a bit iffy but we were moved immediately to another room which was double aspect & therefore much brighter & the wifi comnection was much better too. It's true that if you look closely you'll see signs that the hotel is in need of a sympathetic 'redec' in certain areas but I for ne can forgive this because the staff are so so willing to please & give the imrsssion that nothng is too much trouble. We will certainly return again, & again..... Thanks in particular to our lovely receptionist, (Emilie I think ?) who facilitated our room change & answered all my questions with a smile ☺️

The food was great and the staff were very helpful, the room was standard but the original part of the hotel is nice.

Me and my husband stayed here on Saturday evening had a lovely meal, unfortunately not enough room in restaurant so ate in the bar, however was still a pleasant stay had a nice swim in the Nuffield pool next door, our room was a superior room and was clean and tidy, breakfast was well laid out and you could eat as much as you liked we had a great evening away thanks, The Baldwins, we even made a friend the local dog 🐶

User

2nd night in to my stay here and all is very good, food is excellent staff are all very nice, my only very small criticism is that the decor is starting to get a bit tired needs a revamp I could easily see it becoming 5* with few simple touches

User

The staff were very good and helpful and the meal was lovely sadly the room was not so good. There was a lingering smell of damp the net curtain was torn . There was plaster missing around the light fittings and the double bed was very small . It's a shame but I would not go back purely because of the room

User

Had a Christmas dinner last night. 15/12/17. Generally food was ok, roast potatoes were cooked on the outside but hard in the middle! Turkey was nice. Disco was good but dance floor was sticky! We danced by our table instead!

User

£155 for a double (without breakfast which was £10 per head extra) with two singles pushed together and very uncomfortable pillows. No discount for being in the wedding party. Drinks extortionate, 2 double g & t's and a pint £23.40!!! On the plus size the wedding was fantastic and meal very high standard and nice and hot.

If you want to stay at a hotel don't bother staying here. If you want to have a wedding that is also a nightclub then come on down to funky town. You certainly won't be getting sleep as there are children running up and down the corridors screaming and unsupervised. Front Desk won't do anything to help you in any way but they will apologise profusely and hand you their manager's business card and ask you to speak to them in the morning. At least we can sleep on our double, sorry, twin beds joined together contraption that is called a double and enjoy our dusty room with only enough towels for one person. Breakfast and dinner were great, though, hence the one star.
