My wife and were moving out to France and needed the conveyancing carried out on the sale only of two properties we owned in the UK. My wife initially contacted a couple of High Street Solicitors who's prices seemed rather high for a sale only. She then found MJP on a comparison site and their prices were much more reasonable and reviews of a high standard. We instructed MJP back in September 2015 and haven't regretted that decision for one minute. We had immense problems with the sale of both properties with buyers pulling out at the last minute, in the end the whole process taking 9 months to complete the sales. The journal is brilliant! We were kept updated with every phone call, email and progress as it happened. Requests from us to MJP were dealt with in a swift and always courteous manner and the whole team seem to work together to get the job done. I was recommended to MJP Conveyancing by a friend and am very glad I engaged them to undertake the conveyancing work on my house purchase. I was a first-time buyer and whilst I had done a reasonable amount of research, MJP were happy to let me explain my understanding of things, confirm it, correct it or fill in the blanks. The fixed fee package I used was fantastic, it included everything I needed and meant I could keep my finances on track during that expensive period of moving house. Their online portal allowing me to view documents they received from the other parties solicitors etc and allowing me to upload documents to them was an invaluable tool for keeping things organised without stacks and stacks of paperwork everywhere. In the end, we ended up completing whilst I was out of town on a business trip and being able to submit documents online was a real life-saver as I had no easy way of travelling home again (someone else was driving) for a single night to put together all the relevant paperwork. I'd highly recommend MJP to anyone looking for a conveyancer for their house purchase/sale.

I have been very impressed with this company. I have always been dealt with, with thoroughness, speed and courtesy. I like the online portal very much but of course you have to be comfortable with computers to want to operate in this way. You can access your files at any time 24/7 and even after your sale has been completed. Excellent value for money in my opinion.

Having received several quotes for handling my sale only transaction, MJP were very competitive and a neighbour of mine had also used them successfully. It was all handled very efficiently and their diary system was excellent as they were chasing the purchasers' solicitors with no prompting from me. MJP were also quick off the mark in preparing the original sale documents. Everything is/can be done on-line and by post but I was fortunate enough to live near Norwich so it was easier for me to deliver the required documents (deeds, ID proof etc. by hand). Very pleased with their service.

From beginning to end MJP were fantastic! As first time buyers the whole process seemed daunting but MJP made it easy and understandable. A great service from quote to completion. It was a long process but not due to MJP. The online portal is easy to use and means I was kept in the loop with all stages of the process, and could see what else there was still to do. The team who worked on the case were patient and demonstrated a great amount of empathy when things got quite tough in the final frustrating weeks before exchange.

Some people have stated that they found the different teams that work on the case confusing, but I thought it was an efficient way of processing the sale/purchase. Certainly by reading the website first the company alert you to this, so I knew that this would happen.

Very good service start to finish and always felt I was in the loop and up to speed with everything.

Can’t say we were wildly impressed. Glad we checked our final statement for a dozenth time before authorising completion, as they’d stuck on an extra £200+VAT for a document we’d produced and supplied ourselves (which had not been on the list of fees

the day before). This was removed, and they then listed on our receipt after payments that we’d sent them £600 less than we had and still owed more money. All in all an expensive day for anyone who doesn’t read their receipts religiously at every stage!

While the online portal is great and makes it easy to keep up with where you are, having no particular person managing your file and instead dealing with a load of different staff can really cause delays. The price is great, but keep an eye on what you’re actually paying...

Worst conveyancers ever, even the sellers solicitors stated she’d never dealt with such incompetence before. They’re not even solicitors working on your purchase, they’re case handlers and you get passed from person to person none of who know anything about you or your property. If I could have given it zero stars I would have....
