Moderno Furniture is a rare breed, an independent and unique furniture retailer, which is owned by the people whom run it. There is over 20 years of furniture expertise within the staff and a different philosophy to most furniture outlets, we don't pay any commission, we don't sell warranties or insurances and there is no pressure selling, just come in and browse around at your leisure.
Opened in October 2008 - A homeware showroom and lifestyle store with unique furniture offering a large selection of mirrors and accessories all under one roof. We are constantly sourcing furniture and accessories from the UK and around the world. The Moderno experience is one that has delighted customers from the day the homeware showroom opened, with home deliveries on a weekly basis to customers from Darlington, Hartlepool, Durham, Chester le Street, Newcastle and of course Gateshead. We can also arrange delivery anywhere in the country via reliable carrier companies. We don’t inflate our prices to reduce them in sales.

Also offering a service to visit the property, measure and assist with not only the choice of furniture, but also the interior design. This service can be offered from 1 room in a house to 7 rooms in a Hotel or even completing the overall property.
Including unique furniture made of solid oak, ash, sheesham, marble, glass, leather, pine, silk, walnut, rubberwood. All the products that are sourced by the company are perfect for the finished look. The products are beautifully constructed and give a superior look to any property. Additionally, Moderno Furniture has added Yankee Candle's to there portfolio and currently have over 40 fragrances stocked. They offer all the latest new lines along with beautiful Yankee Candle Accessories to complement any home interior. Moderno also offers a made to measure service for all your glass and mirror making needs. You simply come to us with your measurements and desires for the mirrors you want, and we can quote you at our homeware showroom the very same day. We even offer a framing service where you can get pictures and mirrors framed from our superb selection in store.
Moderno Furniture Ltd has a growing network of clients, situated throughout the UK, including Catz Eyes Haulage, Belmont Shop Fitters and Heritage North. The company is managed by Jackie Charlton, who has been focusing on the Furniture business for many years. Having previously worked for Durham Pine Furniture, Jackie Charlton is adequately trained to oversee the company.

... For those residents in Low Fell that aren’t familiar with Moderno Furniture, here’s a little background.
We have been established now for nearly 10 years, starting off inside of Collectables of Portrack Lane Stockton. Moving into our very own premises at a small industrial unit in Durham and then given the chance of much bigger premises in what was the Chameleon Mirrors at Team Valley for the past 6 years.
We sell unique items to complement any home/office/shop interior. We are NOT a charity shop and sadly can’t begin to compete with charity shop prices, although I know that these guys n gals do a great job 👍🏽

Apologies to all my lovely customers that have had a wasted visit to Moderno of late. Wednesday evening last week I was admitted to QE hospital and at this minute am still here. Have had to take each day as it arrived, so unfortunately I could not inform my customers new n old via social media ☹️

Almost everything in my house came from this lady, Jackie 'Kelly' Charlton even came to my house prior to any purchase and advised me properly so I didn’t waste time and money, fantastic interior designer (although doesn’t charge the astronomical prices of an interior designer!) once I’d made my order, everything arrived on time and both Jackie and Anelise Kelly Charlton came to place everything properly for me at a very reasonable price. Can’t recommend this company enough.
