Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Shefford

Owls have been on a nature walk to the woods today. We looked for interesting items and we stuck them to our nature hats 😊 We found feathers, different coloured leaves, pine cones and many other wonderful things. Great job owls 😊

Research shows physical development in the early years leads to greater success in writing later on so don't worry if your child can't hold a pencil yet, let them enjoy other activities and they will pick up a pencil when they are ready.

Lots of fun already this morning! Gloop, story time, writing ✍️ and dinosaurs 🦖 and it’s not even 9am 😊

We would like to say to our deputy Kirstie have a lovely maternity leave and we can’t wait to meet the new addition to your family. Not long to go now. We are all Looking forward to meeting baby 👶

Bakery 🧁 in hedgehogs today. The children are having a lovely time exploring the foods and having a tea party 🥳 also ! Squirrels have been getting messy with the paints also today.

Huge congratulations to our amazing manager Sarah Kingsley who has been awarded employee of the month. Sarah works incredibly hard to keep the nursery running so efficiently and she was nominated by both staff and parents so a highly deserving winner.

Thank you so much to everybody who came to our family fun day. We had lots of fun making potions and smelly play dough, running around the garden and playing in the sand pit, swinging and sliding in yoga and eating lots of yummy snacks. We were so pleased that the fire engine was able to join us at the end for the children to climb on and learn about what to do if there is a fire. The entry ticket raffle will be drawn on Monday so watch this space .

The children are busy planting up our vegetables this morning. We have planted carrots, broccoli, parsnips, rhubarb, lettuce, broad beans, beetroot and cauliflower 😊 we have been talking about how we need to look after them to help them grow. We would like to be able to make a vegetable soup from what we’ve grown 🤞🏻

We know lots of our children got covered in mud this week but we also know that they had so much fun and totally agree with the below statement!

Sensory play this afternoon was full of lots of fun! Paint, slime, spaghetti and more 😊😊

We totally agree. Children's emotional wellbeing is at the heart of our nursery. Every child develops at their own place and as long as they are happy and being given the right opportunities they will all get there in the end.

Hedgehogs have enjoyed playing with their bakery 🧁 we have talked about the colours and number of cakes as well as money and how much the cakes cost. Mine was “two pennies” best cakes in town 👍🏻 🍰

We were hired for an open day event with our animals and what a lovely nursery! Great range of toys and equipment, with a lovely garden/play area outside as well. The staff were just amazing! All such genuinely lovely, friendly people! I would highly recommend and just wish I had my own little one to enrol here!

Our grandson loves Monkey Puzzle and has been very happy there for 2 years. I pick him up regularly and the staff know and understand him and give a great handover! The atmosphere is friendly, happy and caring. Well done everyone �

My son, 2 and a half years, loves going to 'school'! He is always so excited and asks everyday if he going (and used on a regular basis as bribery to go to bed without a fuss!!) The staff are always smiley and welcoming when he goes in and I know being a practitioner myself can be a struggle! Thank you everyone at Monkey Puzzle, see you in the new year x

My son has been attending the nursery for almost 2 years now. He has been well cared for & has learnt from the staff there. They know him well.

My grandchildren attend Monkey Puzzles, its the most amazing place. i would recommend this place to any parent looking for childcare.

My daughter has been attending the nursery since the summer and has really blossomed in the nursery. She very much enjoys the craft activities, time in the woods and has really bonded with members of staff. The nursery prepare a variety of good food and have been most helpful and supportive with any specific health needs. I wish to thank them for all their hard work and for maintaining openness with all aspects of care for my daughter.

My boy loves it at monkey puzzle and the staff are fantastic

I love this nursery! All the staff and facilities are exceptional. My daughters dietary needs are catered for with ease. She absolutly loves going and has made my return to work a lot less stressful for all of us. Thank you to Caroline and all the staff!
