We decided to swap things around a little this week and we started pick up work again on the 'Onion Mustang'. We work on this little lady when we have time as this is not a time critical build so far. The body shop where the car sits at the moment is cool and out the back of the yard so Yogi can just get on a do his thing, the dark complex art form of making Mustangs from bits of car, old, new or reconditioned. Over the last couple days the weather in the UK has taken a turn for the worse after a very nice hot spell. A thunder-storm has taken its toll on the Mustang Maniac phones due to a bolt of lightning landed in the field behind us on Friday, since then the phones have been down and doing things they really shouldn't be doing. Here in the UK the sun is out and glorious weather for another week with the promise of more to come. We can safely say that we can't remember seeing better days and a hot spell like this for many many years now. How long will be before the UK buckles under the strain of hot weather this time and not the snow? [ 1,250 more word ] http://mustangmaniac.org/2018/07/22/seen- better-days/

For a little while now we have been supplying parts to a genuine '65 GT Fastback, we are pleased to say that those parts and service have now gained us another loyal customer. The pretty much finished car was driven to us by Adrian and he wanted a Mustang Maniac sticker, how could we refuse? The particular car will be taking part in the Africa 2018 rally which runs from 1-27 October this year, click the [ 314 more words ] http://mustangmaniac.org/2018/07/15/takin g-a-trip/

It's a known fact that Mustang Maniac has one of the best stocked shelves of Mustang Parts in the UK. Most of it is down to Adam's sixth sense of ordering and shrewd business sense. Well, Adam has ordered some new stock, bespoke stock, own stock and a bulk lot of stock! Firstly we mentioned a few posts ago that Adam was quiet excited that he has the moulds to create the "Eleanor" body kits, which match exactly the body kits on the "Gone in Sixty Seconds" movie cars. This Week has been the hottest for a long while that we can remember, so unfortunately this is where the road tests take just that little bit longer, especially if the roof is down. We have been doing as lot of service work which has kept us quiet, except when it comes to tea breaks and lunch times where Yogi is still in denial about the drag race rigging going on from last week! This week we have moved away from the yard to somewhere a little more exciting - Santa Pod Raceway. The track was hired out for a private session by the "A602 Street & Strip Rods" their web link can be found here. They have invited Mustang Maniac out to play on the Friday this week and how could we say no? [ 719 more words ] http://mustangmaniac.org/2018/06/24/burni n-rubber-war-paint/

Servicing of cars has been the order of the day, not so much Mustangs but our own commercial vehicles, from vans to trucks. We have been busy rearranging our stores to accept a new range but more on that below. One of our customers has sent us a picture which we just had to share with you which made us laugh, (but don't tell Yogi that). The pace has calmed down a little in the yard we are pleased to say, and we concentrating on the general servicing on the cars we have waiting for us. We have also been working on a pretty unique car in the mean time which has brought with it its own problems for us to sort out, and we have learned from it all in the process. The end of the week was made that bit special for us as a long project received a final push over the line and reached a massive milestone. With regards to the heading we obviously mean another Mach1 is fully restored and on the road after passing her nut and bolt restoration's first MOT. Jacqui's full '69 restoration was driven to the MOT centre where it passed with flying colours. [ 452 more words ] http://mustangmaniac.org/2018/06/03/anoth er-1-done/

We continue the post today by picking up where we left off with the first instalment yesterday. About the similar time of day to yesterday the cars turned up with a brighter start to the day, just as we were looking for breakfast. The Mustang Maniac pitch was again full with a change of some of the vehicles. There was main tent where there was a rockabilly band and a few rare cars inside. The time of year is the much-anticipated Enfield Pageant of Motoring and the show that Mustang Maniac, their friends and customers show up to be on the pitch with Adam. The organisers have spread out the stands right across the filed now, giving the feeling of not being crushed in. Mustang Maniac was there on Saturday with a steady stream of cars arriving with a total of twelve cars, plus a flat-bed lorry and a Ford support unit Ranger, so it was busy to say the least. Last week report on a pretty epic engine fail which has now been addressed and the car is back on the road again. To soften that shock to the system we have given pride of place for our Park & Pic series this week. In fact it's a double Park & Pic so it's a first there for us too. We have a pretty big post for you to cover yet another busy week at Mustang Maniac. [ 1,594 more word ] http://mustangmaniac.org/2018/05/20/beari ng-down/

We start this week with a Park & Pic of a unique car a genuine Shelby GT350R, a race car owned by our friend and customer Larry Tucker. This is not your usual add a few stickers effort like so many do and think that it adds 100bhp or something. This is a fully stripped out Shelby FIA inspected race car and goes just like it looks! We like to pride ourselves on being one of the best in the country if not "The Best" for Mustang restorations, our customers are loyal and return on a regular basis whether for a standard service, repairs or upgrades. A number of our customers have more than one Classic Car and not all them are Mustangs. So on the odd occasion for the good customers and friends of ours we will make exceptions. We have been busy the last couple of weeks with lots of cars ready to be picked up, once they were taken back to their rightful homes we could get a couple back in. So it was all about logistics this week. The gold convertible needed some brake work so Adam & Yogi teamed up on a car in the Yogi Cave. For once we can say that the weather has bought out the cars and its great to see them on the road. It makes a change from us saying a couple of months back drive carefully in snow and ice. Speaking of driving carefully brings us onto our Park & Pic this week; Park & Pic Our friend and loyal customer Mart D. [ 1,639 more word ]

Ok so the title is a little play on words for this week's blog, but the weather in the UK is picking up a little and looking forward to the warm weather and all the classic cars coming out to play. We said a play on words as this weeks Park & Pic is a car we still have with us after a service and a good look over. [ 522 more words ]

This week Adam has been eagerly waiting for his next delivery of some rather special parts, this time they are not from the USA. Adam has had a set of moulds made for his next project car that we will be bringing you via our blog the full project build from scratch to being on the road. The ever popular '67 Eleanor from the movie remake of "Gone In Sixty Seconds" has fans all around the world, and is always a popular car at shows. [ 567 more words ]
