We got married here yesterday and have to say the venue was perfect! The ceremony was held in the Charlton Suite followed by the Wedding Breakfast and Party in the Marquee. Both rooms were perfect for what we needed.

The staff are all extremely friendly, polite and friendly.

From our first meeting all the way up to the big day the events team have been amazing. Charlotte was our main planner and was more than happy to accommodate anything we wanted.

On the day Maddie was in charge of running everything and was extremely helpful and friendly. Anything we needed or could think of we only had to ask and she made sure it was done. All we had to worry about was enjoying the day and making the most of it.

We would recommend Needham House Hotel to anyone thinking of getting married here!!

User

Thank you for a lovely Sunday lunch today. The food was fantastic. Such great value for money & kind to provide cream for our cake пњљ

User

Such a great place with amazingly attentive staff and exceptional food.

Rooms are specious and beautifully done, plus the free WI-FI and smart TV's as standard. Next time we'll make sure to check the spa after the business meeting.

User

Stayed at the hotel on Saturday night on a wowcher bed and breakfast deal. Upgraded to a balcony room. On arrival, we loved the room, the balcony is huge, overlooking lovely gardens. We found the ensuite shower room lovely. Yes, you have to juggle the furniture a bit to plug the kettle in but it was ok...

Our dinner in the restaurant was lovely. We found the staff very attentive, and when we complained about the very watery coffee it was replaced free of charge immediately. Wooden floors mean you can hear your neighbours very clearly, from next door and above.

The breakfast lay out is not very good. Toaster is in the middle, so you end up blocking everyone trying to get to their tables. Needs replanning!! But the food was good enough. Didn't use the spa, as was put off by the reviews. Overall, we found all the staff to be really helpful. Car park was fine. Would stay again.

User

Really nice. Staff and people here are really friendly, food was great especially desert! Room was very comfortable, overall a lovely experience and will deffo be returning.

User

My mums wedding was here and it was phenomenal, staff were really good, beautiful day and service was fab! Big thanks to the GM John and Maddy who ran the day you made it so good! Rooms were nice but a little small

User

Held my daughter's hen here. From the initial booking through Lucy and organising the spa treatments with Nikki, we could not fault the efficiency. Nothing was too much.

All the staff were so accommodating.

The rooms spacious and the beds devine.

Our thanks to Chris who was always there for us, so attentive and nothing was ever too much for him; from helping us set us our private dining room to ensuring the memory USB worked properly. He was brilliant. We were delighted that on the Sunday he was there for us again, when we had tea in another beautiful private room. Every hotel should have a Chris.

The food: private dining, breakfast and champagne tea all excellent standard.

The fact that we were able to have, what seemed like exclusive use of the spa relaxation and treatment rooms was a bonus.

Will certainly return.

Got married at NHH on 21/7/18 and we are still on a high!

Everything was perfect. Initially we were worried when the marquee issue cropped up, however it then worked in our favour having heat wave conditions and some lovely air con.

All the staff at NHH are/were amazing! A huge thank you to Charlotte (wedding co ordinator), the general manager and Maddie and team for last week. It couldnвАЩt have gone any better and would highly recommend to everyone! Thank you again пњљ Kylie & Sol

User

We have just returned for a surprise trip for my boyfriends birthday and had a wonderful time- the high tea was amazing, felt really special and was lovely sitting by in the tea room over looking the front of the house. The bar area was lovely where we had drinks, on arrival, before we went out to dinner and a night cap- breakfast was lovely in the morning to and our room I couldnвАЩt fault, only that you could hear others in their rooms but I think that can be the guests not really caring not the hotel fault. Really was a great time and didnвАЩt want to leave - thank you to all staff who were friendly, helpful and professional рЯШКрЯШК

User

This is an excellent venue for special occasions or even just staying on holiday or business. The staff are very courteous and helpful.

User

Had a very nice stay here . The staff were great , my only criticism would be that the bar menu needs adding too

User

WiFi is terrible. Rooms meant to be soundproof yet we were told to keep the noise down. Tv guide doesn't work. A simple request of don't put ice in my drink went unheard and they put ice in my drink then took it away took the ice out and brought back the same drink without the ice. But now melted ice water omg seriously. The bathroom has a window in it so you can clearly see into the bathroom from the bedroom no privacy. Other than that, room is nice enough. Staff nice enough but don't make any noise whatever you do.

User

The afternoon tea menu needs looking at cakes to sweet sandwiches awful waitress good food not so !!

User

I stayed one night for a wedding that I was attending. I had a single room which was on the small side but ok for one night. The bathroom is where I have issues.... It was so tiny, you had to go in and shut the door to be able to even see the shower let alone get in it. The shower area was bigger than the rest of the bathroom . Also, there was nowhere to put toiletries etc around the hand basin area, I had to balance my toiletry bag on the back of the toilet.

The room itself was small but ok for the one night I was there, but I wouldn't have wanted to spend longer in it.

The reception and bar areas are very nicely done and breakfast was nice.

It's the pokey bathroom that badly let it down. Even though it was one night, I felt they'd crammed it in where it shouldn't be. The sloping ceiling made it even more claustrophobic. I have to say I was disappointed.

User

Christmas party there, it was ok. I had to send my fish back as it very cold. They replaced it with no argument. The replacement fish was lovely. No hot water for the whole time, (evening and morning) which was a little disappointing, so no shower for me. Breakfast was very nice, lots of variety. The grounds are nice with plenty of parking. All in all any okIsh experience.

User

Booked a Spa day through groupon but the only decent thing about the day was the massage treatments and the lunch. The Spa and I call it a spa quite loosely, consisted of 2 shower/changing room which one you couldn't shut the door, a steam room and sauna and something they called a relaxation room. It was filthy including hair in the drains of the showers and in the corridor, dirty bowls containing nuts and raisins, filthy loungers in the "Relaxation Area" which was also filthy and ridiculous beds that were basically cabin beds that were difficult to get on.

We had to chase the staff for shower gel and shampoo as none any of the showers had any.

We were given 1 tiny locker for 2 of us and staff barely showed us around or explained how things worked especially using the sauna and steam room.

The only reason that I gave it 3* was the treatments were really good but no aftercare advice given and the lunch was nice too. I did complain but only got a bog standard apology from the manager hoping to see us again!! Still waiting on a reply to my response. Very disappointed as this was bought as a thank you gift from my dad to his wife and daughter to give us a stress free day but it certainly wasn't stress free and they really don't seem to care!

User

I stayed here overnight in June 2017 and after being impressed at the entrance lounge and the bar, I was surprised to see there was no lift and no assistance offered to carry bags. Our room was at the end of a very long not carpeted corridor so dragging the suitcases along the bare floor all the way down to the end of the corridor made a racket. The room was cramped and the teamaking facilities were in the wardrobe as there was no where else to put them. On one wall was a huge brown stain like someone had spilled tea down it. We couldnt change rooms because the hotel was full for the night The bathroom was huge but the space would have been better in the bedroom which was so cramped. Toiletries were provided which was nice. The bed was comfortable and being an end room was quiet. The best thing about the stay was the breakfast which was everything you could wish for but for £100 a night I'd rather stay in a more comfortable room and buy my own breakfast.

User

Five of us attended yesterday for afternoon tea for two of our parties birthdays. Having been before and received 5 star treatment yesterday was so disappointing. We were called in the morning to say that afternoon tea would now be a royal themed one which was fine but it did not live up to expectations. We had 4 small sandwiches on cheap bread. The scones were cold. Chocolate cake slice was dry, and for the sherry trifle we had to use our spoons from our tea cups. Not only did we have to walk to find any waitresses we had constant loud music from a live band practicing in the next room. Would not recommend the afternoon tea or the upcoming royal one.

User

Attended my mums wedding yesterday which was the most beautiful ceremony , the wedding was amazing, it was decorated lovely and looked amazing. But unfortunately there were some real down sides...

We were ushered to the patio outside the function room which had broke glass all on it, I got glass in my foot and my 2 year old son also cut himself of glass after picking bits up. This was reported twice and still nothing was done.

My children both chose from the children's menu and were served an adult starter, the only 2 kids who weren't served kids starters then 2 mins before mains came out they received their starters , the previous starters weren't cleared making no room on out table.

During the evening myself and all other guests repeatedly got the same round of drinks and were charged all different prices. Was advised that 1 bar was charging us not enough, so stuck to the pop up bar... my sister ordered 6 jager Bombs and was charged £19 and my Aunty ordered the same after and was charged £30?

There's no safety in ordering food or drinks on your room number tab. NO ONE checks the room number people give them when ordering and various guests at the party had food and drink charged to their room that wasn't theirs!

The wine variety was very limited.

The lodge was out of this world but that and the ceremony were the highlights.
