Dig out your wheels! Come and join our our brand new wellbeing cycling group, delivered in partnership with Pushing Ahead Norfolk, starting 1st June. It's for anyone living or working in and around the Heartsease area who'd like to improve their physical and mental wellbeing. In preparation, the kind folks at Pushing Ahead will also be offering a free monthly Dr Bike maintenance pop-up - first one on the 30th May on Witard Road. For more info or to book a place, please contact Kirsty at pushingahead@norwichmind.org.uk
This project is funded by Heartsease Healthy Living Fund, following a public voting process. #cyclingforwellbeing #pushingahead

Tomorrow is International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia. It was chosen on this date because on 17th May 1990, the World Health Organisation stopped classifying homosexuality as a mental illness.
Today we are extra pleased to update you on progress with our forthcoming LGBT+ project, which will explore the mental health and wellbeing needs of LGBT+ people in Norwich and Central Norfolk. . . We can confirm our Project Manager has been appointed and will be in post at the beginning of June. Happy #IDAHOBIT2019 :-)

Hats off to the BBC this week, who are doing an excellent job of promoting #mentalhealthawareness week across many platforms. If you get the chance check out Louis Theroux's Mothers on the Edge documentary on iPlayer, and an interview with mental health champion Ruby Wax on the BBC2 Breakfast show on 14 May morning.

This Mental Health Awareness Week the focus is on body image - how we think and feel about our bodies. Here's to greater acceptance of ourselves, inside and out <3
