... The right candidate for the role will be a proactive, consistent and efficient Mechanic with an attention to detail in all their work. You will be required to work in ranges from servicing a vehicle to general vehicle repair. You will be working within an independent garage environment as part of an active and busy team, with good technical skills as an all make Mechanic.
Approved and checked by DVSA, MOT testers carry out a responsible role making sure all vehicles are tested in accordance with ministry standards.
Essential •Fully qualified tester approved by the DVSA •Experience in testing / vehicle technician •Full UK Driving Licence.
Skills and Qualifications of a Mechanic: ·At least 3 years Mechanic experience in the automotive industry ·Flexible approach to work and a full understanding of customer satisfaction ·Have skills in many areas – general services, basic diagnostics. ·Good attitude and a time-conscious individual
The candidates main duties will include : --MOT Testing - Confident with tyres, brakes, clutches, exhausts and batteries - Competent with all general repair work and diagnostics - Servicing -Repairs
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5:00pm/ No weekend work!

This is a full time position
Starting salary is based on experience.

*The ideal candidate - Fully skilled Mechanic - Hold a variety of relevant qualifications* Previously worked on a wide variety of car makes and models

If you are an MOT tester, this is beneficial but by no means essential. The successful applicant, if not already qualified as an MOT tester, will also have the opportunity to attend an MOT testers course, to expand their skill set and to provide cover for the main MOT tester.

Took my Ford Galaxy (which I was told by Ford dealers in Dunstable that it needed a new fuse box after diagnostic @£500 +labour. )

Nice guy at the station took a look and found nothing wrong with the Fuse box however he discovered that the electrical plug was faulty and fixed the issues for £20. Very honest have gained a client
