What can I say, out with the family for a meal. Fabulous food, great atmosphere lovely helpful staff

User

Went with my mum, daughter (3) and son (10months) for lunch. We sat in the 'outside' area which was totally cosy and Christmassy with heaters and a great little kids area. The staff were great with the kids and the food was fantastic. Couldn't recommend highly enough!

User

We were recommended by some friends so when we arrived last night, on first glance, I thought it seemed quite empty until we were directed to the lovely cosy area at the back where most people seemed to be.

The food was yummy and the atmosphere was totally relaxing. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Just what we wanted. Will definitely go back. Thanks for a lovely meal!

User

We ate here late afternoon on New Year’s Eve and we are so glad we did, the food was really authentic and full of flavour. This restaurant isn’t at all posh or pretentious, it has a rustic charm about it . The service was good, excellent Portuguese wine , but this place is all about the food , proper Portuguese home cooking. We can’t wait to return.

User

Wanted a quick meal before going to the theatre, found this place by accident and went in for the theatre special, food was great, great atmosphere, will definately be going back and having a meal without rushing to go to the theatre.

User

Visited O'Picado for the first time, as we have recently moved to Westcliff. The atmosphere at this restaurant is relaxed and cosy. The service is fantastic. The food great! Will be coming back. O'Picado is an oasis on the London Road. Highly recommend this eatery. 😊

User

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and evening, delicious food with excellent service, we are going to try the lunch time menu on 17th with work colleagues and looking forward to it.

User

The food was excellent and the service very Good I loved the chicken on the screwer x

I would recommend it definitely

One criticism the puddings could be more inviting and more to choose from

User

Really lovely restaurant in Leigh. Staff very friendly but service was a bit slow. Food was really nice and tasty would definitely recommend. But there was a service charge added to the bill. Which I don't usually mind but we didn't get our change.

User

Popped in yesterday to have a nose really. The lady who was on duty was very friendly and gave us a menu to look what food they serve. As we wasn't really hungry at the time we asked if we could just sit in with a bottle of wine which was no problem at all. Lovely welcoming atmosphere. We are defientky going to pop back to try the food. 😛

User

My favourite restaurant and place to go!

Amazing food, great friendly service and the sangria is the best!

Very reasonably priced with good quality food, the steak skewers are beautiful and huge, always cooked perfectly and very tender.

Great fish courses too.

Can't wait for the next visit soon.

Oh and the home made red wine liquor is the perfect end to a great night.

Enjoy, you won't be disappointed

User

Lovely restaurant! Excellent food, friendly staff, great atmosphere! If I can't get back to Madeira then this is the next best place to spend my time until I can do! So pleased to have found this place! xx

User

Lovely place! Will visit again. Very welcoming, and food was delicious! A nice menu. The homemade bread was yummy! Food quantity is typical Portuguese = a good amount!! I love the paintings and photos of madeira/ fabrics. See u soon

User

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this restaurant during my recent holiday in Southend. It was a seriously long walk (and back!) from the seafront hotel but it was worth it. It had a great, vibrant atmosphere and although small really looked the part, and I think was all the better for it. The Feijoada was one of the best meals I've ever had complimented by one of my favourite beers in Super Bock. A wonderful place and thoroughly recommended if you are in the area!

User

Brilliant afternoon eating and listening to a bit of jazz , felt like I was on holiday, the staff are perfect and food was great , would recommend this gem to everyone 👌🏻✌🏻

User

Amazing food, great service. First time customers, very impressed and definitely will be returning in the near future!

User

Always the best! Excellent service, lovely food, nice music and absolutely enjoyable environment. Whenever we are down Southend we always end up at this restaurant!

User

A lovely little find before our show at the Palace Theatre. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. Will definitely go back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

User

Very friendly staff but service a bit slow. They forgot my garlic bread but we got it in the end. Value for money and food all cooked well.
