Well I have to say I wasn’t really looking forward to todays meal as never been here and some reviews weren’t great . But as we left it to the last minute it was the only place we could get booked but omg I have to say that was the best meal I have had out in a very long time x the food was fabulous and our waitress Michelle done us proud and got everything spot on x

Had a lovely mothers day meal here yesterday with our family . Was very organised and our waitress was lovely , friendly an funny. Only our starters took a long time an the calamari was cold. But did tc it off our bill. Mains were nice an hot lol. Very busy but nice atmosphere.

It wasn't busy but we still had to wait 10 minutes before someone came to seat us, and the "reception" as such is not well signposted, so even after we'd been seated, we saw other guests bypass the reception desk and get sent back to it by staff members. The wait for service wasn't especially long, and the girl who served us was very nice and polite. My partner thought the main meal portions could have been a little bigger, but we figured they were still very filling.



This is not by any means a negative review, as the staff were very friendly and the food was very good. I just believe they could do with perhaps serving a little quicker when people arrive, and maybe signpost the reception desk a little better so guests know where to wait to be seated :)

Went tonight as a pre-booked part of nine people. Drinks and meal orders were taken promptly and the waitress was polite. Unfortunately that's when the positives ended... Two of the meals and some of the sides were cold and not cooked to taste (medium steak came out dripping with blood and a burger was cold). Other steaks were also rare when they were requested as medium. Three attempts later for the burger and four attempts later for the steak (which still came out with thick chips instead of skinny fries), the meals were satisfactory (although obviously by then, everyone else had finished their mains). Didn't appreciate the manager being abrupt that the burger had come out 'steaming' the first time (when it didn't; that was just the bun). Desserts were nice (again some with custard were cold). Due to the issues we had with our main meals, the manager gave us two bottles of Prosecco, the meals that had issues were taken off the bill, plus some further discount. The bill however didn't take in to account that six of the nine meals were on the three courses for £14.99 offer. Several minutes after us re-calculating and explaining this to the staff, we were finally able to settle up and leave (after the manager said he would 'sort out' the extra amount we had been charged. We're no mathematicians, but we know when we're being over charged! The restaurant wasn't busy and there really shouldn't have been any issues at all tonight. A shame, as it was a convenient place for the group of friends to meet. Safe to say we won't be back in a hurry.

Three attempts later for the burger and four attempts later for the steak (which still came out with thick chips instead of skinny fries), the meals were satisfactory (although obviously by then, everyone else had finished their mains). Didn't appreciate the manager being abrupt that the burger had come out 'steaming' the first time (when it didn't; that was just the bun). Desserts were nice (again some with custard were cold). Due to the issues we had with our main meals, the manager gave us two bottles of Prosecco, the meals that had issues were taken off the bill, plus some further discount. The bill however didn't take in to account that six of the nine meals were on the three courses for £14.99 offer. Several minutes after us re-calculating and explaining this to the staff, we were finally able to settle up and leave (after the manager said he would 'sort out' the extra amount we had been charged. We're no mathematicians, but we know when we're being over charged! The restaurant wasn't busy and there really shouldn't have been any issues at all tonight. A shame, as it was a convenient place for the group of friends to meet. Safe to say we won't be back in a hurry.

Food wasn’t great fillet steak overdone make sure you order extra fries that are free when you’re meal is delivered or you will clean your plate before they arrive I agree with other reviews has gone down hill quite a bit

Booked table for 3 people for 5.15pm, took order then waited hour for 2 kids meals and one main meal. Kids steak burnt, chips cold! Other kids meal chicken burger meat burnt, beans stuck to bowl couldn’t get them out! Then to top it off either chicken bone or prawn shelling in my vegetable lasagne! 10 minutes after meal brought out get sauces, 20 minutes after that got refill on drinks. Normally don’t complain but that was worst meal we have ever been served. Got one kids meal and main meal knocked of bill which I appreciated but would of rather had decent food and not 2 hungry kids and an adult ��

Absolute rubbish. Told there would be 25 minute delay on food, starter came and went, waited an hour for main to not show up, manager arrogant and rude.. only offered part refund on food that never showed up.

Well I have to say I wasn’t really looking forward to todays meal as never been here and some reviews weren’t great . But as we left it to the last minute it was the only place we could get booked but omg I have to say that was the best meal I have had out in a very long time x the food was fabulous and our waitress Michelle done us proud and got everything spot on x

Had a lovely mothers day meal here yesterday with our family . Was very organised and our waitress was lovely , friendly an funny. Only our starters took a long time an the calamari was cold. But did tc it off our bill. Mains were nice an hot lol. Very busy but nice atmosphere.

Dont even attempt to use the 40% off voucher as they just decide not to take it as and when they please!!! Staff were unfriendly and they didnt have items on menu which left our little boy upset. Second time weve tried this place and we definately wont be back!!!!

Our waitress this afternoon was amazing couldn’t fault her, but the food was under-par for the price. I ordered the new halloumi salad for £10.99. The salad contained at most 4 small squares of halloumi so was very disappointed. The puddings really need some love too, a pud should leave you feeling special, all of ours looked chucked at the bowl at best. Such a shame, till today I had fond memories of the Oyster Reach xx

Me and my partner went for lunch yesterday. It wasn't busy but we still had to wait 10 minutes before someone came to seat us, and the "reception" as such is not well signposted, so even after we'd been seated, we saw other guests bypass the reception desk and get sent back to it by staff members. The wait for service wasn't especially long, and the girl who served us was very nice and polite. My partner thought the main meal portions could have been a little bigger, but we figured they were still very filling.



This is not by any means a negative review, as the staff were very friendly and the food was very good. I just believe they could do with perhaps serving a little quicker when people arrive, and maybe signpost the reception desk a little better so guests know where to wait to be seated :)
