About Ozzie'S Oinkers
We sell a small select range of our produce from livestock reared on our family farm. Our main concern is our outdoor pig unit, we also sell eggs.

ABOUT US:
We have been at King's Close Farm since October2013. Our aim is to produce quality sustainable food, focusing on high welfare standards for the livestock.
We feel privileged to be custodians of our farm, and enjoy the fruits of our labour!
ABOUT the PIGS
Our main enterprise is pig farming, something we are very passionate about. We have developed our herd over many years. our unit is 'Freedom Food' certified - a scheme monitored by the RSPCA.
During pregnancy the sows are kept in groups of 12 in large tents. They are bedded down with a deep layer of fresh barley straw. We scatter feed nuts over their bedding which stimulates their rooting instinct as they forage for their food throughout the day.
The sows give birth in individual pens in which they have a warm cosy hut and an outside run. The huts and tents are moved every few weeks. This keeps them clean and gives the pigs fresh soil to root, which does them a world of good!
The pigs are a mix of modern and traditional breeds, which include 'Duroc' and 'Hampshire', both of which we selected for their excellent flavour. The Duroc is the only breed that produces 'marbled meat' which prevents it from drying out during cooking.

Still time to come and grab yourself one of our delicious fresh Gammons! Plenty of bacon in the fridge to. While your here why not get some cocktail sausages( try coating them in honey and mustard.👌🏻)
We have lots of fresh bacon ( streaky and back). We also have sliced ham. Think that’s all weekend sandwiches covered 😋
We have a selection of fresh cuts in the shop fridge at the moment!
Walked in the shop this morning to find Ozzie has been letting his creative side free on the black board.😂
Our new girls have come into lay! So we now have pullet eggs available (along side regular eggs) in the shop. 50p 1/2 doz £2.50 a tray of 30 They may be smaller but extra delicious 😋 perfect for making scotch eggs for all those summer holiday picnics.
It’s a muggy ol day on the farm, thank goodness we have Danns ice cream back in stock 😋🍦 Honeycomb Chocolate Norfolk Strawberry Rum & Raisin... Vanilla as well as the Diddy Danns lolly’s. (Hope you get to it before Ozzie does 😂)

We had a great time at the Norfolk show, coming home with a 1st,2nd and a Championship. Lovely to see lots of you there and thank you for your support. We have caught the showing bug and will definitely be back next year. 🐖🐖🏆
