****THANK YOU FOR YOUR CUSTOM****

Run entirely by the local community, Hardie Park is the best park in Thurrock!

We run a cafe and training centre with the help of dozens of volunteers.

The cafe is open 7 days per week from 10-4pm (unless otherwise notified) and toilets are available to use whenever the building is open.

We sell a wide range of Cafe food, drinks, Italian coffee, snacks and of course, Rossi Ice Cream!

If you are interested in joining the team as a volunteer please visit our website at www. friendsofhardiepark. co. uk /volunteer

A few local people who use Hardie Park want to gather more people together to imagine a transformed park that the whole community can be proud of. The aim would be to work towards Green Flag status!

We're working towards a lottery application for approx Β£400k, consulting with the community and park users especially young people.

In the next few months we will need to raise about Β£20, 000 - if you have ideas of how we can achieve this let us know!

Contact for this group is Rob Groves on 07803 295374 or email friendsofhardiepark@hotmail.com

Hi Drangea! A new joke to add to Hi Jean! 🀣

On Tuesday our donated PA system finally gave up the ghost - I managed to cobble together something that worked after about an hour and a half, but sadly I think we need something new....
We've seen this and wondered if anyone would like to buy it for us? (My Mum always said if you don't ask you don't get!)....we estimate that nearly 8,000 local people per year will hear the music and announcements through this little puppy and our job will be a million percent easier! Rob x

Travelled from Braintree to find good park, this is excellent play park and community centre. We were welcomed by friendly staff volunteers and locals. Even though it was raining, it was very much worth the travel, children played with toys inside, books and puzzles, was good fun. Sun came out after lunch so enjoyed the clean well equipped park too! Look forward to enjoying some of the events throughout the summer here. Def recommend :)

The Friends of Hardie Park have done an amazing job and it is getting better everyday. An absolutely gorgeous park with something for everyone and with new projects in the pipeline this place is going to be a hub for young and old.

Really enjoyed the afternoon tea service was so amazing there was a fair few of us from yoga and an anxiety class. All homemade the strawberry victoria sponge is to die for. A pasdion of mine is eating cake ! This was beautiful also the scones and clotted cream with jam just wonderful! The smaller cakes were stunning also! And the sarnies well something for everyone! All the crusts cut of too (very posh)! All freshly made! The facilities are fab never been to hardie before but for my 2.5yr old she was in heaven with ride on toys and all the park equipment. The see-saw swing which i could sit on with her was just great luckily im very short (im a child at heart)! All the children played so well together all various ages. The tea was lovely! They even done herbal tea fir our herbal tea ladies and the coffee was going down well too. Staff were constantly replenishing cjecking all was ok so polite and friendly. My 2.5yr old loved the Rossi ice cream all sorts of flavours! Including rubarb and custard! Really well priced and fab quality. All of the lovely volenteers were making some lovely tyre flower features and were working so hard. I will be returning 100% my daughter was occupied and i could also enjoy time cake and friends while watching her. It felt safe and just a really friendly place. A hidden gem!

My husband and I came to the park yesterday with our 6 young children, after my cousin stephen hales run the horndon 10k to raise some money for you. The park is absolutely brilliant, there was something for all of the children, my 20 month old loved the ride on tractors food was great and so reasonably priced too, service was fab and the park was just so friendly and laid back. We live in Rayleigh but we will definitely be coming back to play more often. You have done a fantastic job. It's great to see such community spirit. Massive well done!!
