Went in a private caravan which was fantastic as it was next to the shop and park. Children loved the entertainment drinks are expensive but we saw customers with jugs of juice so we got those £2. Kids loved the nature kids activities and built a bird house, nature pictures. The pool was ok changing rooms could do with the locks fixing

Went from Monday 19th March - Friday 23rd March. One of the best haven sites I’ve been on so far, did not disappoint us and the weather was fantastic to say it’s March. We had to wait a while for our caravan but that was expected as they were so busy dealing with other customers wanting the same thing. The only down fall is that all the entertainment is based on children (even at 10pm on a night) and if your going as a couple like we did then the best thing to do is to go off site and explore entertainment around Newquay/Perranporth along with the food and beverages in the restaurants being expensive too.

Caravan was lovely, fresh and clean, highly recommend haven’s standard newer model caravans for a cheap get away!

Will be back again in September, already excited.

We where do we start...... we it started with the most amazing welcome from a gentleman called Trevor at the roundabout on the entrance what a absolute gent. It was raining and this guy went way and beyond to make the start of our holiday great. Then it just went on and on. It's our first time in this part of Cornwall and it certainly won't be our last. We loved it perransands we will be back thank u for an amazing holiday. The accomadion was superb the staff superb all in all an amazing holiday can't fault at all see u again soon xxx

User

The people are amazing especially the security as I lost my son and they were great finding him couldn't fault the bold one he is superb in helping so quick to start looking for my son and when found I was so grateful to have met the security at perran sands apart from the miss hap at surf bay with the food I have to give a top mark with everything else and love to come back again.

User

Lovely park and beach.

Restaurant staff were amazing so was the food. Nice to be able to order from the table.

The place wasn’t swarmed with people. It’s quiet and relaxing.

Shame no Thatchers in main show venue.

If only Devon cliffs ran their park like you. Staff are friendly and kids loved the funstars! As they have gone from DC

Outside entertainment was good which we also miss

User

Just come home from a week here , was really pleased with everything, our caravan was beautiful, clean and well equipped, the site had plenty to offer , we didn’t use the pool as we were on the beach everyday instead, evening entertainment was what you’d expect from a haven , our 4 year old loved the disco , the pub on site was great , lovely food , plenty of eateries to choose from , the arcade was good , burnt money but entertained for an hour , perranporth beach is 10 minute drive from the site , would say a bit far to walk, Newquay is about 15-20 mins drive , take plenty of change for the car parks!would definitely be going back , highly recommend x

User

Just came back from a fantastic week with you. My 5 year old had an amazing time. The caravan was spotless and very comfortable, with a great selection of items in the shops and restaurants. The pool activities were excellent and the lifeguards were all amazing and looked like they were having as much fun as the children. The entertainment staff were also great with the children and there was a good range of activities. Only one thing, would have liked a coffee shop or area to sit down in and watch the children and maybe a bigger play centre for the younger ones. Queuing every morning for a coffee out of a machine was not much fun!! However will definitely be booking again next year.

User

Home from a 4night stay in a super tent did ask to stay another night lady at reception never got back to us so very disappointed on that.super tent was fantastic every utensil we needed.beach was lovely with the lovely watering hole to enjoy a rattler cyder or 2.Entertainment was ok gutted they no longer do the tiger dance. Booked again for next year before we left was the best holiday ever

User

Had another great short break, well catered for my disabled husband, once again very clean and tidy, staff great and very helpful, hot water/heating sorted in 10 minutes of call, coming back again Sept with my sister and niece then again with husband next September for our 43rd anniversary

User

Only negative is that there are no accessible microwaves for parents to use to heat up baby foodin any of the restaurants. If your out for a meal as a family you need to be able to heat baby food. Staff say they can’t physically put it in the microwave (Haven rule) and parents can’t use it. If Morrison’s can surely a family holiday park can?????

User

Me and the kids had a lovely time on our first family holiday.

I'd been to perran sands before and love the beach just the same, whatever the weather. Everything was as you'd expect.

I'd really like to thank the bloke who was at the mini roundabout as you go in/out on Monday 7th may. This guy was so helpful and as we left on Friday 11th , actually saved us from missing the bus back to truro train station

he made a trek a lot easier and I didn't get to say thanks properly in my panic getting us to the bus!

Please make sure this bloke gets this! Helpful guy bless him

User

We do like this place, second year coming here, last year stayed in a static and this year in our tourer. Much prefer to stay on touring area, great food in surf bar... highly recommend the lasagne. Great for kids, nice play area and sand dunes with good size pitches. Trevor, the guy who meets you on arrival is fantastic and puts a smile on your face straight away. Now for the gripes, the toilet/showers are disgusting...I'm not one to moan over the odd hair, bit of dirty grouting but.....these....urgh! I wore my flops in the shower, so much hair you could make a wig and last night's shower there was some sort of blood clot, a few nights before, blood all over a sink. In the washing up area the water pipes make a terrible deafening noise. The swimming pool needs "something", kids slide or something! That all being said, it is in as great location. Arcade is a good size, as is the show bar. If the toilet facilities were better I would give a 4, swimming pool better then I would give a 5.

User

Lovely park, well looked after. Seemed to attract a nicer crowd than other Haven sites.

Swimming pool: Lazy river was a hit with the kids. Outdoor pool could do with being heated and flooring repaired as stones crumbling away from patio covered the floor. Not enough changing rooms.

Beach - lovely. Play parks - plenty and we’ll pookwd after. Restaurants and bars all excellent and well looked after with nice food which was reasonably priced. Whole site was dog-friendly, lovely to see so many people enjoying their holidays with their dogs.

Entertainment: Chris and Chloe the funstars were excellent. Very professional and enthusiastic. Engaging towards all guess and danced and sang like each night was their first. The rest lacked enthusiasm in their approach and dancing and some could be quite unprofessional and bitchy.

That said, the two funstar Caberet shows were good. The seaside squad shows were also great for the kids.

Main reason i’d visit again is for excellent touring facilities and overall dog friendliness of the park and Cornwall itself. Hopefully next year the swimming pool would be revamped and repaired and naff fun stars replaced - if so, I would definitely rate this place 5 stars.

User

Dog friendly accom was OK, entertainment awful, 'funstars' not fun at all just bitchy and constantly doing inside jokes on the mic. Jade spitting her whole gob full of marshmallow out in front of everyone was disgusting, covering their mouth to whisper to each other n then bursting out laughing is not fun for guests. The only nice interacting funstar was Jess n hearing Jordan and Jade bitching about that poor girl in the dj box was shocking. On site looks brilliant! That's what my 3 stars are for but everything else let's it down big time

User

The complex is very good spotless and tidy and an amazing location. However i was very disappointed with the touring, (camping) facilities on this site! The toilet/shower blocks are disgusting! the stench as you walk in, then to find showers that flood, sinks hanging off the wall, plugs missing and pipes going to the sinks just hanging! i should imagine the block has not been changed since it was built! The pot wash room was much the same!! come on Haven sort it out!

User

Far to much walking to get to the foods n amusement.if your to young or old . It’s very tiring every think is up n down .. and the food on site is very poor .the surf food place is expensive n food no good at all and stops serving at 8-30 .... and the bar prices are expensive £1.9O for a kids fruit shot and 4.05p for the was wkd drink ..so i was payin for me the wife and the children over £18 for a round of drinks .. to expensive for such a big place i thought it would have a little fair there for children. Overall I won’t be coming back again .

User

Arrived to a smelly caravan with soaking wet floors, no boiler (hot water or heating working). After reporting it, a couple of hours later some maintenance guys came out and offered to move us caravan. Spent that evening moving. Now woke with no gas, so awaiting a gas change before we can go out! Spent more time waiting for maintenance than enjoying our holiday!

User

A right mixed bag.. swimming pool is incredibly basic, arcades are alright but an expected money drain. Club house is a good size with a ton of friendly security. My problem was with the fun star entertainers.. no energy or charisma and seemed fed up having to half attempt the dances bar Chris who seemed a veteran of the trade. I have been to the flagship havens and there is a massive difference. Treat each night likes it's your first night performing and bring the energy. On a rainy week you need to lift the kids spirits.

User

We booked a 4 night break in a super tent this May half term but returned home after 2 nights.

The tent was filthy, the shower blocks were also filthy, there were urine soaked toilet seats, poo encrusted toilet seats and an overriding smell of stale urine. There were also CCTV cameras filming inside the shower blocks above the toilet and shower cubicles.

We have made a complaint to Haven and requested a full refund and compensation for a ruined half term.

So upset to have lost our precious family time here.
