TWENTY IS PLENTY
Just a reminder, Carrickmannon Primary School and Ballyvester Primary School both have a 20mph zone in place during school pick up and drop offs. Times vary with each school.
... Speeding will not be tolerated and Police will be in attendance.

The Belfast Road, Ballygowan has now re-opened.
I’d like to say thanks to all of those who responded to this incident. We had a range of Police and Fire Crews responding from a number of stations and areas, as well as the NIAS’s Ground and Air Ambulances. I’d especially like to thank the efforts of the 2 off-duty doctors who came across the incident and got stuck right in to helping and delivering vital care.
Thankfully at this time, the sole casualty is stable, and our thoug...hts are with them and their family.

South Area Burglary Team: Searches.
If police find suspected illegal items on your person during a search and subsequently arrest you we can, if certain conditions apply, seek authorisation to search where you live for evidence of the offence for which you've been arrested.
We arrive at your door, we enter by whatever means necessary and we search through your personal belongings. If you dont live alone then your family / house mates are very quickly going to know that you'...ve found yourself in a spot of bother. What begins as something between you and the police could quickly become talk of the town.
We follow data protection rules and won't tell anyone your business unless they have a need to know however we can't stop the curtains twitching or the stories heard on the grapevine.
Keep yourself on the right side of the law. Think of your family. What would they think if they knew what you were at? If you can't stop for yourself then stop for them.

Ards and North Down Neighbourhood Police came across this vehicle today on the Peninsula, without any insurance or MOT. The vehicle is now off the road and will not return until that owner insures it and will also have to put it through MOT. This vehicle is not just a danger to the owner but also other road users.

There are still a few HMRC calls coming in on a regular basis but thankfully less victims. We always get some queries as to why we cannot trace these crooks and shut them down. We found this little piece online and just shows how widespread the issue is and just how far across the globe the scam has spread.
We are not the only county to be targetted that for sure.

Hot of the press from scam messages from crooks pretending to be from TV Licencing there seem to be email versions as well. These are potentially even more risky as your computer may hold even more sensitive information than your phone. Delete them immediately when received and for further info check out www.nidirect.gov.uk/campaigns/scamwiseni
