Prévost – Flavour without boundaries

“Flavour is an inherently intimate experience – it informs memory, affection, love. ”

After five years establishing himself as Peterborough’s most inventive young chef, Lee Clarke presents Prévost, the city’s most exciting new drinking and dining experience. Set in a 16th-century mews in historic Priestgate, Prévost is the culmination of two decades spent cooking, tasting and learning in some of the world’s best kitchens.

Expect brilliant ingredients and bold flavours as Lee guides your palate on an exploration through freshness, texture and taste. Everything on your plate is meticulously sourced, made from scratch and as local as possible: beef aged by our butcher in Stilton; wild mushrooms foraged from nearby woods; artichokes picked straight from the allotment.

This is fine dining without the formality: kick back with a cocktail and a tasting plate in our buzzing bar, or don your napkin for a ten-course feast of Lee’s imaginative cooking – quintessentially British but full of surprises. At Prévost every table is a chef’s table – the kitchen is yours to discover, the menu is ever-changing and Lee is always at the helm. Come and find out where he’ll be taking your tastebuds next.

Your honey tasting adventure begins at 18:30 and lasts for 2.5 hours in the comfortable surroundings of our restaurant.

Here's a snapshot of what they had to say:
"An expansive space with laminate floor, smartly clothed tables and a view into the black-tiled kitchen creates a wholly relaxed atmosphere..."
... "It's all in the art of combination, an approach that mostly works with the grain of principal ingredients rather than trying to trip them up.
Salmon is matched with horseradish and beetroot, a clam with monk's beard and cauliflower, while the main-course alternatives (the only stage requiring a choice) might be baked brill with parsnip and anchovy butter, or full-flavoured hogget with artichoke and rosemary gravy.
For the cheese course, a crumpet makes an elegant vehicle for brie and celery, and the closing note could be opulently rich chocolate marquise with whisky ice cream. Wines include some vivid southern hemisphere varietals in among the high-toned European classics. The starting price is £20."

Our ethos from day one has been to serve to you the finest, ethical and sustainable ingredients.
The ducks we use are Creedy Carver Ducks. Located down in Devon, free range Creedy Carver ducks are reared to the highest of welfare standards, with plenty of grass to roam and enjoy!

Yet another fabulous culinary experience this evening. Wonderful food, drink and service. Couldn’t recommend enough! Every visit is a taste sensation!

We visited Prevost with Peterborough Audi and were treated to a delight of foods. The team were welcoming, the tables laid nicely and the service excellent although slightly impersonal.



The highlight for me was the Beef Wellington which was cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth, even my wife enjoyed it and she likes her steak cooked to within an inch of its life!



The selection of wines suited the dishes and were well chosen. The cheese and biscuit platter was delicious and was finished of nicely with a drop of port



I would recommend Prevost, for those unsure the lunchtime menu looks to be a great way to experience their dining at very reasonable prices. I just wish we were more local to be able to visit more frequently

We dined here for our Valentines meal and oh my. I cannot give any higher praise, it was without a doubt the absolute best meal I’ve had. The service was impeccable and staff lovely. I cannot wait to return and try more
