great place for a nights stop, very convienant for the A1
We stayed here for one night last Thursday and booked a family room .. upon arrival the chap behind the desk was very welcoming and looked after us including keeping an eye on my car due to my alarm going off for no reason and not stop .. the room wasn't too far from the reception which was handy as we had a pram with us so no stairs or lift needed !! It was also next to one of the conference rooms which means we wasn't disturbed by any other guests nor would we annoy people with a screaming 5 month old baby wanting his food (takes after his dad) .. when we entered the room we were amazed .. yep it's a premier inn but this would rival rooms that you would pay double for !! It was huge !! A king size bed for me and my partner and two proper single beds (not fold out nastiness like we experienced the following evening at a travel lodge in Luton) .. it was immaculate and the bathroom super clean !! Well well worth the money we paid for the evening !!
Was a short stay but staff helpful, clean room and food was brilliant. Small niggle for me was I like my coffee but there's only enough coffee for two. Need more sugar and milk too. Apart from that, really really good.
This is one of the best Premier Inns I have stayed in! Every single one of the staff were so polite and friendly. The hotel itself is immaculate and in superb condition. Cleanliness was second to none. We had a family room and it was huge!!!! Food was superb in the evening and at breakfast. If up in Peterborough again I would be straight back, was quite sad to leave!! Totally recommend.
The receptionist was more than helpful, the staff were all so friendly, the food was good value & the bed was perfect. A wonderful stop over.
Staying here for a night and it's so true....the bed is superb! The duvet envelopes you in softness and you just sink into the pillows. The staff are helpful and thoughtful. I needed a bit of TLC and it was here. Thank you.
I am a massive if not sad fan of Premier Inns and this one is probably my fave was annoyed this morning when my lack of appetite stopped me from having my much loved full English which is always good! Great hot shower fluffy clean towels usual exceptional bed Staff friendly and polite!!!! 5*all the way.
Everything you expect from a Premier Inn but with the added extra of fantastic staff. The staff in the restaurant, particularly Karen, were friendly and incredibly helpful. Karen could not do enough to help as we juggled our children through the general breakfast mayhem. From putting my Husband's cooked breakfast on the hot plate while he settled baby to bringing us a tea towel to protect our 3yr olds outfit from her yogurt - thoughtful, helpful and really appreciated. A pleasurable experience - thank-you!
Can’t ask for anything more from the staff !! Always made welcome here !!
A great hotel. The staff make you feel welcome and they are very polite. Excellent customer service from them. The bedrooms are ok sized and the bed is really comfy. The shower can be really hot and powerful. The breakfasts and evening meals are brilliant and filling, a little limited for ales but everything else they seem to have bang on. I would stay here again and I will be doing near the end of the month. I recxomend this hotel to anybody
TV's need updating and possibly lowing so high couldn't see it properly! More plug sockets would be good too!!!!
Apart from that the staff were amazing - especially the poor chap that had to come make up the 3rd bed as they'd changed our rooms at some point before our arrival and not made it.
Room was excellent. Bed exactly as the advert says slept like a log. Receptionist was terrible. Only overheard that you had to put the card in opposite way to the arrow as wasn't working right. Had to return to our room and couldn't get in. Taxi was waiting. Receptionist went to meet my husband at the room. He didn't turn up as she thought we were in 49 and we were in 56. She just returned to reception and totally ignored me. He had to come back to find her. Still with taxi waiting. No apology. Shame as it's our first premier inn. Back to Travel lodges for us
Room was comfy, but plugs by the beds would be nice.
Room was spotless and the staff were all helpful and polite.
Evening meal was OK but I've never had a steak and kidney pudding with a crust before.
Breakfast was spot on with perfect poached eggs.
Premier Inn no#6 in 3 weeks for us.
Everything was fine.
Evening waitress - think her name was Caroline was great. She was friendly and checking not only us but other guests that everything was ok. All staff friendly but she went the extra mile. Thanks.
We stayed In a disable room, there was a lot of space but the bed was very small for two people. It was more like a three quarter than a king size.
OMG what a shambles tonights restuarant crew were 1hr 43mins to serve me two courses had to ask 3 times for a second bottle of water which still hadn't arrived by the time the bill finally came. The food by contrast was delicious and really well cooked. As a business account holder i do 130+ nights per year with premier inn and this has been my worst restuarant experience in the last 5 years.
It's ok, nothing majorly special, small square tv's (as opposed to the more modern widescreen flat tv's in 21st century hotels) and lights which cannot seem to be turned off from.any of the rooms switches.
As with a lot of premier inns at the moment a bit of updating wouldn't go a miss....plugs by the side of the bed for mobile chargers would be a start....wardrobe doors which don't bash into the main door opener another thing to look into.
Room 110 in case you are wondering which one needs updating.
I stay in a Premier Inn at least once a week through work, and this one is not to a good standard. No towels in the room, only two electric plug sockets in the room. The chef does not know the difference between mushy peas, and a lump of green puree, that was nearly cold. Thank goodness it was only one night.
Hotel nice and warm staff friendly and James the manager goes that extra mile for you
Downside is vehicles getting broken into two works vans damaged trying to get in and a car
There are plenty of cameras but that doesn’t deter them
