Prestige Nursing + Care Halesworth

I have received a lovely member of the year nomination from a clients daughter that I would like to share with you all .....
My mum really didn’t want carers. She had non-hodgkinsons lymphoma and went from a strong, independent woman to a shell of her former self. Although she beat the lymphoma, the chemo left her in a terrible state, both physically and mentally. So we decided she needed carers as I live abroad and my sister lived over 2 hours away. At first, mum used to mo...an and moan - never about the carers themselves, but the fact that she “didn’t need them “ or what on earth would they do while they were there. She really did need them and it gave us piece of mind knowing that someone was checking in on her every day . After a while she seemed well enough to do without help so we stopped the visits, then she had a fall and broke her hip so we started them again. Same old problem, she thought she didn’t need them. Then one day along came Donna Brinded. Mum was her first client after starting with Prestige. Instantly mum changed her tune and began to look forward to the carer’s visits,especially if Donna was coming. Whenever we spoke , it was Donna this and Donna that. Mum started to deteriorate (well she was in her 80’s) and we stepped up the visits. Once a week Donna took her shopping as she couldn’t go on her own any more, and she loved these trips to the local supermarket, she said they had such a laugh together. Sadly, mum was admitted to hospital in February and never came out, she passed away on the 1st March. Donna was devastated. She and the manager at the Halesworth branch , Seva Newrick, came to the funeral, which was very much appreciated. Although absolutely everyone at the Halesworth branch has been wonderful with mum, it was Donna who really made a difference to her life. Always precessional, yet with a bubbly personality and cheerful disposition. I really would like to see her win this award. Many thanks for reading this , and good luck Donna !

Remember last year ? What a great night we all had ....On Friday the 19th October there will be another fund raising event which will be a live band playing at the Chinnys bar Halesworth. I worked at prestige halesworth for 2 years it was such a nice place to work all the staff were lovely to work with and the management were so supportive to there staff i would go back there tommrow if i could ��

I visit homes where Prestige care is in place. I find their carer's to be helpful kind and very caring of the people they look after.

I joined Prestige last May after working within the NHS for thirty years. I am absolutely amazed by the warmth care and dedication of the Halesworth team. I have watched as when the power went down the girls took flasks hot water bottles and fish and chips around.to the vulnerable. Some girls not even on duty.at the time. The past two days we have had girls walking to their visits. Driving each other round for the nervous drivers. Looking after each other's children to enable calls to be covered. Carers coming into the office to help and offer help. No visit was missed that could be covered. I take my hat off to you all you are a true asset to the Community.

I have the most amazing team under me who I cannot thank enough for all their hard work & dedication. Thank you team �
