Pub And Paddle - Canoe Hire In Norwich

We took our girls in the rowing boat and had a thoroughly good time! Lovely surroundings, and very relaxing. Chantal and Nick were really kind and helpful! Thank you also for the tip about the pizza at The Red Lion pub! Bellissimo!

We met at the Red Lion to pick up the canoes, the staff were very pleasant and helpful, plus a really nice touch is that water proof bags are provided.

We had a wonderful evening paddling along to Thorpe green, a little stop off at the Buck and Rushcutters to keep hydrated, then back along river.

Will definitely be booking again.

Took our own picnic. The staff/owners was really friendly and easy going. There are lovely views down the River and we had great fun on such a beautiful day. I've always had a fear of water but i felt very safe in the sturdy boat and even had a go at rowing which isn't as easy as it looks but had a great time. We ate our picnic on the boat which is a really great idea and very different. During our picnic I proposed to my partner (Who said yes). It will always be a special day to remember for us and such a perfect day. Thank you pub and paddle.

We had a half hour slot on your Elm Hill pontoon opening and loved it. Its great to see Norwich from the water. Great weather and happy people too. What more could one ask for as a start to a glorious bank holiday.

Took my Bff for a great paddle it was the grand national day, so managed to time that in, as well as two lovely pubs. Really liked that we could make decisions on what route we took, what pubs etc as opposed to some guided paddle experiences where time restraints and routes are over prescribed. Very friendly team and we remained dry even after a couple of G and T’s for more info and some pics head to my insta page @cookiecrumblesuk

This was our second time with pub and paddle, after having a go at it last year and deciding to return with friends! Brilliant service on arrival, followed by such a fun day. Can’t recommend this place enough, and we will most definitely be back next year!

It was lots of fun! We did Route 1, and stopped off for a bite to eat at The Rivergarden and a drink at The Buck! Would definitely recommend and looking forward to going back to give the other routes a go! 😃

I booked this for myself and partner as an early birthday present. Also his best friend came along. I’m scared of boats etc however nick was lovely, explained everything, made me feel so at ease. We enjoyed it, done route 1 where we stopped off at river garden for lunch then returned. We had such a great time, and even though we were half hour late Chantelle and nick didn’t charge us no extra (we were willing to pay). Both very professional and lovely people. I am looking to book this for my hen party! Defo recommend xx

I booked this for my boyfriends birthday and took the dog along. It was a great day out and a brilliant way to pass through the city. The staff were friendly and helpful too. I would definitely recommend pub and paddle!

Very relaxing too with beautiful views of the city. Nick was relaxed & friendly & on hand to help us moor up at the pub. Excellent value for money - will definitely do it again! Thanks Nick! �

Had a great day yesterday on the river, the weather wasn't great but 6 of us went out and we made it fun even though we got soaking wet!! Would highly recommend doing this as it's something different, Nick and Chantal were brilliant hosts and really can't wait to do it again.

Great experience - the gent that welcomed us at the Red Lion pub was very friendly and gave us ample safety instructions along with some useful tips. Managed to stop at all 5 pubs and had a drink in plenty of time to spare.

Fantastic way to explore the city by boat. The picknick was well-chosen and tasty with fresh fruit, crisps, popcorn, sausage rolls, pies, hummus and delicious cheese and bread. There even was decoration such as bowls and an artificial plant that made the table look really nice. We'll absoutely visit again and already warmly recommended the Pub and Paddle to various people along the coast.

Couldn't have been easier to book, we used the picnic boat and had a really nice time. We had an excellent and concise brief about where we were going, and then left to go on our own, which fit in perfectly with what we wanted to do. We will definitely be back, and will bring friends!

As per my previous review on trip advisor we have just had our second outing with Nick and Chantelle,this time doing just the evening trip from the Red Lion going in the opposite direction this time towards the City. As ever they were as accommodating as you possibly can be,finding us a canoe at short notice on a beautiful summer eve yesterday Friday 20th July. Had a lovely paddle and time for a pint at the Ribs of Beef,amazing what you notice from the river that you never see from the bank or road where the bank is inaccessible . Went as far as we could to New Mills yard then back to the Red Lion where we finished our eve with a bottle of Red and a lovely Steak meal.....perfect eve. If you haven’t done this yet then I’d urge you to do so,it’s a great way to escape the madness of modern life and Nick and Chantelle have done a great job to negotiate with local pubs on route with regard to moorings. A must do 👍
