Now you see, it now you don't.
Now that Storm Callum has finished with me I can start to tidy things up and get ready for next year, I just have to bolt it all to the world.
Just had a phone enquiry so thought I had better tell you that QTS is closed today for site maintainance but will be open during the coming week as usual.
I don't know about a long hot summer, things have been grey and overcast here for a while, still we have had plenty of visitors, note to self, take more photos!
Well, I have not been lonely of late with plenty of visitors, the dart board is for a bit of competition, nearest the bull wins it. so far two people have hit bull. Yesterday Fraser, Callum, Tom and Cameron dropped in the closet of their shots was 7mm.
John came in the other day to zero his rifle, it is a CZ bolt action .22 LR, synthetic stock and matt silver barrel. It got me to thinking about bespoke marksmanship packages, I will have to look into it. The purpose of zeroing is to adjust sights so the MPI (mean point of impact) is at the centre of the target, normally done prone but this time from standing supported.
Though it hasn't rained for a while, it will, so at last I have finished the seat covers. Now the visitors don't get wet bums! all the activities are running along nicely barring the air rifle due to equipment failure.
After trying the semi auto pistols, the results were not too good, the youngsters, used to gaming were just blasting away wasting gas and ammo. In response I bought these two, they are SMK CP1 target pistols, bolt action, floating barrel, muzzle weighted and well priced. When fitted with an electronic sight they are ideal!
Paul and Sam dropped in to try out the crossbows, Paul shot second and his group was about as close as you could get, if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes etc. Robin Hood eat your heart out!
We have had a steady flow of visitors during the fine weather among others; Ricky, Sasha, Nat, Alice, Mike, Clive, Bob, Jacqui and Oguz. I must remember to keep the camera with me now, the trouble is with all the rain I am used to leaving it under cover. So far Mike is the top gun with 75/80 using the cross bow.
Spent the morning on spit and polish, the only snag is once you've cleaned them they're going to get dirty again.
I had not come across wild strawberries before, they taste great and there are thousands of them, the only snag is that they grow no bigger than a pea so picking them is rather labourious so I will leave them to the birds
Kath, Patricia, Doug and Michael came along to try out the Archery Butts and some air rifle shooting. It helps to have one spotter but two is better. Top gun for the air rifle was "Kath"
Lisa and Shaun came in today to try their eye at archery, they were both on target and the balloons suffered so we all get something to eat tonight
Soaking wet but still smiling.
I am in the wrong job, I spent all day working and someone spent all day practising their archery.
The large signs are 8 feet long and 2 feet high, if you are still having trouble finding us just call and I will give you directions.
Nicola and lee visited over the weekend, Nicola is an events organiser and was visiting Newquay with a group. The crossbows caught their eye and both were very accurate, I also had the chance to pick Nicola's brains so will be following up on the new contacts I have.
Well, this should make life a little easier, it's a GDK aerial assault automatic clay trap (brand new). All I have to do now is resist the temptation to use all the clays myself.
awesome deffo be going again

My 13 yr old thoroughly enjoyed his crossbow session. We hope to return in the summer for clay shooting.
Great thanks.
Found this activity in tourist brochure. New activity for us and thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon. Very knowledgeable instructor
First full season for Sam good luck in your venture, we found a coupon in a local holiday guide, excellent instruction and a genuine interest in helping you improve your shooting. Even better value for money if you visit Cornwall well worth a visit to try out your skills.
Fantastic! I booked this for my husband as a Father’s Day present. He absolutely loved it, as did his friends that came to join in too. Learnt lots, tuition was great. Really good fun thank you
Fantastic day of Archery, couldn't recommend it high enough! Will definitely be back for a spot of clay pigeon shooting!
Fantastic afternoon. Highly recommended. Would give a higher score if it were possible!! Sam was a very experienced, patient instructor, who clearly knows what he's talking about. Would not hesitate to go back. Thanks Sam!
