Ramsey Cricket Club Description
At Ramsey Cricket Club our mission is simple;
‘To enhance the lives of the people of Ramsey and the surrounding areas through Cricket’
Ramsey CC has sides in all forms of cricket - Men’s, Women’s, Boy’s and Girl’s.
We will be fielding 4 senior men’s sides during the season: the 1st XI will participate in the Cambs Tucker Gardner League Div 1, 2nd XI in Hunts County league Div I, the 3rd XI in Hunts Div 4, and a combined XI on Sundays will compete in Rutland League Div 3.
We are also pleased to announce that the Men’s 1st XI for the first time in the clubs history will be participating in the 2011 ECB National Club Championship with the 1st round match due to played by 8th May.
It will be our 3rd season of Womens competition, whch sees Joan Smith continuing to lead out the Women's cricket team in the Cambs and Hunts Women’s League.
Our excellent youth system, with ECB qualified coaches and will be fielding sides in Under 9 through to Under 15 cricket in the Huntingdonshire Youth Cricket Competitions.
In addition, we have partnered up with Warboys Cricket Club and Upwood Cricket Club to run a girls cricket section. Teams are offered at U11 and U13 age groups. The teams participate in the National Lady Taverners Competitions.
To support our junior sections for boys and girls, we are part of the ‘Chance to Shine’ project which aims to take cricket back into a third of all state schools by 2020. Entering our 4th year in the scheme, we have given over 1200 young people the opportunity to try cricket in their school and encourage as many as possible to join the club.
Over the winter period we have installed a new double lane Non-Turf Pitch enclosed training net system (Grand Opening Ceremony news to follow shortly) to go with the new Astro-Turf Pitch layed during the Summer allowing Ramsey Cricket Club to now boast one of best cricketing facilities in the County.
Whether you play cricket or not, Ramsey Cricket Club has lots to offer you. In a fantastic setting, fully stocked bar, child friendly environment, where better to spend long summer days but at Ramsey Cricket Club.

Tomorrow sees the 1st team at home in a local derby against March Town Cricket Club 12.30 start. Tomorrow’s match ball has been kindly sponsored by Francesca Terroni School of Dance. The 2nd team are away to Orton Park in a Hunts League fixture.

Mums and Dads - we’re looking for a volunteer to cook on the BBQ at junior training this evening as our usual chef is unavailable. Everything will be ready for you, we just need someone to flip the burgers and sizzle the sausages! There might even be a free drink in it for you. Please let us know if you’d like to help.
