Ray Podmore Contract Services Ltd

Last weeks mission. We Doug a 2 meter hole behind some material bays in Birmingham, the bays were holding water so we installed a 1.5 meter pipe behind the bay and installed a sub pump, we then lifted the sleepers, put them on concrete blocks so the water would run out of the bays into our sump. We also concreted a walkway that had trip hazards.

Last weeks work. We had a call out to BradGate house and had to clean up and board up windows after trespassers had broken in and caused damage. We also had a variety of site work to do at Venator in Kidsgrove. We had operators at Mercaston, Alfreton, and Earls Barton carrying out work.

Site work at Croxden this week in Cheadle, we've over classes some tired Sheering and replaced it with what the customer has supplied, done some concreting and lots of other work. Another busy week done, have a good weekend

It's been a busy start to the year for us, hence the lack of posts as of late. We've been working on Mercaston, doing several site upgrades, such as walk ways, painting, concrete pads, installing sign posts. We have also been on Earls Barton, and Alfreton. Alot more work coming up and we will keep you posted.

We've finished for Christmas today. We would just like to wish out Customers, staff and suppliers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New year. We look forward to seeing you in the new year 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎊🎊

A decorating job we did last week for Sibelco, we tra sformed the tired weighbridge and gave it a upgrade. We are busy in the final week before Christmas. This week we are at Mercaston, Venator and Alfreton.

This week's work in photos. We've been at Mercaston quarry installing new bases, one at the back of the fitting shop with aco drains in to carry away the water. The others were over by the new mobile plant that has gone up. We will be back there next week doing another base for the sand tower. We've also been on Leicester removing old canteen foundations reddy to install a car park. Very busy in the run up to Christmas now. Have a good weekend all

We've had a busy week at Venator this week. We've done a variety of jobs around the site, this one is unblocking a man hole that flows into a culvert. We discovered the bottom outlet was blocked, we unlocked it and had to repair the clay pipe, finishing it off with shuttering and filled it with Pea gravel to protect the pipe work. We've also been on Tarmac Alfreton with a big project going on there and Hanson weeford loading. Enjoy your weekend

Start if a new week. Last week consisted if repairing a road crossing. Customer wanted it dishing to take away the water from the concrete plant. Thus week we are on Venator, Hansons Weeford and Tarmac Alfreton. Have a great week all

Job for Sibelco Bent farm quarry. We got into one of their hydro tanks, stripped off the damages lynotex, then coated it up using pitchy poxy. Confined space training came in to practice today for the lads

Sorry for the lack of posts as of late. We have been busy, we have had operators down Linford Essex, office refurn and decorating work at Pottal Pool, operators working at Venator Kidsgrove and also at Barton u need wood. Picture below is the start of the work at Barton

Very busy few weeks at Venator in Kidsgrove. We've been gardening, cutting through dense woodland to clear a culvert, installing doors, installing new guttering, clearing out guttering. Customer upon completion said 'there's only Podmore's who can come and do gardening, guttering, concreting, joinery work all in the space of 2 weeks. A very happy customer 😁. Very bust week at Podmore's this week. We've built shuttering up for trial pads at Hanson concrete plant Weeford, ready for them to trial a new concrete mix Other pictures show the work at Leicester concrete plant, we have started a wedge pit, installed a new concrete pad ready for new welfare facilities. We also happened to come across a snake in the drains we were tapping in 😅😅😅. Have a great weekend all

Last weeks work. Starting picture is painting of 2 height barriers. They started off in a grey primer, we cates them up and striped them red and white. The final pictures show a car park extension at Shardlow quarry.

Few jobs from the past few weeks. First we have the new car park and footpath area at Shardlow, this work is still on going and is set to be complete next week. Secondly a job from last month, we installed a tunnel over the conveyor belt at Hints quarry in order for a pedestrian foot path to run over the top, the ground will be built up over the tunnel by the site.
