We were delighted to receive a cheque from the Students of Shakespeare House at The Stanway School this morning. We have been their chosen charity for the year and they raised a staggering £1,100 in aid of Re-Cycle. Thank you all so much for your tremendous efforts in raising the funds, which will go towards changing more lives in Africa. #essexschool #charity

Re-Cycle will be attending this years Eroica Limburg Cycling Event in the Netherlands on the 28th & 29th June, where we will be selling sold as seen vintage bikes and parts. If you are visiting or taking part in the event then please pop along to our stand and say hello.

Meet Ryan our fantastic chief loader, he has been volunteering at Re-Cycle for 8 years now. Ryan's drive and enthusiasm when loading a container is so strong that it's usually loaded in just a few days! Can you imagine carrying and loading over 500 bikes in such a short space of time?! HUGE ASK to all of our supporters. We are a small team of staff here at re-cycle and have many volunteers. We are in desperate need of some new computer boxes to make our working day more efficient. Meet Mick, he has been volunteering at Re-Cycle for 6 years now. He strips the bikes that arent suitable for Africa. This involves taking off all of the parts for spares leaving us with the metal frame which can then be re-cycled. Mick worked as a Air Radar Technician in the RAF from the age of 16-27! This shows just how talented our Bike Mechanics are. This bike was kindly donated to us and has been stripped and completely re-built! Any bikes we receive that aren't suitable for Africa are put through our workshop and re-furbished by our fully qualified Bike Mechanics, they all come with a 60 day warranty and all proceeds help us send bikes to Africa. . . .... . . .

These two guys Sven and Frank are amazing, they started their challenge Re-Cycle x - Europe 9 years ago here in the UK and they have just completed another leg of their journey, with the final tour finishing next Summer 2020. They have raised an astonishing amount so far for Re-Cycle which we are truly grateful for.
