We didn’t book, just took a chance on Mother’s Day. Fortunately we were given a table and enjoyed an excellent roast followed by the most amazing Baileys Creme brûlée. The best I have ever had! Lovely friendly staff. Thank you, we will definitely be returning.

User

Twice I’ve been now since new management were in and it’s clear the change was needed, what a difference! Really really good pub food and not expensive either, amazing value. Love the music in there too 😊

User

Stacks of outdoor seating out the back with stunning views of the Wiltshire countryside from this hilltop pub. Nice to see a good selection of ciders with Black Rat perry and cider on tap amongst others. Wide choice of menu options competively priced with the potato wedges at £3.50 excellent value for a large serving. Prompt service, great food and plenty of cider will mean a return visit is gauranteed.

User

Nice pub really nice and friendly staff who went above and Beyond to make you feel welcome really enjoyable food I asked for peppercorn sauce to go with my steak wasn't on the menu so the bar staff asked the chef who was more than happy to make me some which was really nice then we had a coffee at the bar before leaving and had a good chat with the landlord Simon, so to some up had a great time and will be returning very soon oh almost forgot the views are amazing

It’s one of those pubs you drive past and think I must go in there and yesterday we did. The pub is a lot bigger than you think, the inside seating looked nice and cosy especially around the fireplace. There is a good sized conservatory too. Although we didn’t eat the menu looked great and there was a good selection of drinks. We sat outside in the spacious sunny garden and admired the views, will certainly be going back for more.

User

Fab location with super views. Very well kept beer ans awesome sausage sandwiches. Next time I'll have them in a baguette they tried to escape from my bloomer bread

User

Came here to celebrate a birthday and brought our dog. We had top class service-the staff were all lovely. Food was really well cooked and we were very impressed with the variety of choices on the menu. We will definitely come again.

User

Went there first night new owners took over, service and food were fantastic and I could not find a fault. so decided to visit again tonight. However Food was no where near as good, partners burger was a cheap one that just oozed fat all over the bun, presentation was not as good puddings were not home made and very small for the price and to top it all of the local young farmer community were out in force, there swearing was loud there manners were non existent by 9.30 a group of them were play fighting on the lawn and they were all drinking and driving. I would not recommend taking children there with this going on and unless the food rapidly changes I would not eat there again. Menu very limited half of it was not available including they had no ham all in all expensive and I could have got a better meal at the local hungry horse

User

What a fiasco .... fancied a cream scone and cuppa before the girls set off back North .... barman apologised they were out of clotted cream but could do whipped and there would be a short delay as they had a few orders before us. After 40 minutes I went back to the bar to check where are order was up to to be told apologetically by the barman they were out of scones too and he should have really come to tell us. FFS!!!!
